*Yueyin pov
Regretfully, where did Princess Zhao go? I'm afraid he's spreading what's happening and it's causing us bad. As I went out I was startled by princess Zhao who was already hanging out in front of the gate, she stared at me intently.

Author: maybe here some are confused why yueyin's brother is an emperor? As in the beginning of the story, the western emperor was no longer replaced by his son, Yuwen. And the emperor of the east himself was still alive and not sickly, so his position was not replaced, therefore looking for the strongest prince to be made crown prince and become his successor by doing the match.
While this match was also advantageous for yueyin if she won, in addition to being the empress of the eastern crown prince. Or even if she lost she would still be married to one of the princes who loved her.
