THE HUMILIATED SUBSTITUTE HUSBAND

THE HUMILIATED SUBSTITUTE HUSBAND
CHAPTER 30: DIVORCE?

“Eee... ladies first,” said Richard thrusting a hand to please.

“No, you go first,” elak Velyn who was suddenly nervous. His fingers pulled over the stricken child's hair covering his face.

Not wanting to further prolong the endless debate, Richard let out a heavy sigh, still focused on staring at his pair of beautiful female beads, “My question is still the same. Why are you here? Not comfortable at home? Or, Grandpa scolding you?” the man was filled with worry.

A quick slug was immediately pointed out by Velyn, dodging the question of the husband whose conjecture was completely invalid. “Not, Cad. Grandpa is very good, even very good.” A smile broke from her trembling lips, her net was teary.

“Then?” Richard scrunched his forehead.

“I ... I ...” Velyn's throat was blocked. He cannot continue his sentence. However, Velyn got up from the sofa, resting on both feet of Richard. Grabbing the man's big hand, then kissing him so deeply. Her crying was getting uncontrollably broken.

“Hey, what are you doing?” richard tried to shake Velyn's hand, but was afraid that she might fall.

“I'm sorry, Cad. Ever since we got married, I've misunderstood you. Not a day goes by without misunderstanding. I've always cornered you, accused you, never appreciated you. Though all this time you have sacrificed your life to be able to help me and also my family who do not know themselves,” said Velyn stammered because her sobs became more and more so.

Ever since revealing a fact regarding Sonia's trap, Velyn had been completely eroded in deep regret. His hatred for Richard had evaporated completely, replaced with a sense of guilt that every second was always haunting.

Richard was confused, he let his wife take out all the grunts she harbored, letting the woman spill everything that was buried in the chest.

Velyn did not dare to raise her head. Perhaps earlier if Richard was just a barmaid, Velyn would have continued to defend their marriage. Even if his whole family is against. Especially after knowing a fact, that they are both victims. How unfair for Richard, because all this time bear pain alone.

But now, everything is different. The man with the status of her husband is not a random man. The king of business who has a great influence both in his own country, and abroad. Really, Velyn really felt dwarfed by Richard.

“What are you doing?” richard touched Velyn's shoulders and forced her to get up. He sat Velyn right next to him. Richard twisted his body until now the two faced each other.

Slowly his hands extended out to wipe the two wet beads of Velyn's eyes. Cupping both cheeks and pointing right at his face. Her lips smiled faintly, “You are my wife! No matter how we get married, but what is clear religiously and countryly we are husband and wife. I will never break the promise I made. Promise before God and your parents. I will remain in charge of you.”

“But you're not wrong, Cad. You deserve to go. You have the right to choose the best companion for you. I'm a really bad wife! I accept whatever your decision is. Even if it was a divorce,” refuted Velyn back in tears. Heart lied. Although his mouth kept dodging and asking Richard to leave, his heart simply did not accept.

"What?! Divorce?!" richard's cry glared sharply.
