The Knights are broken

The Knights are broken
Chapter 2's

I don't know how long he's been in the dark waiting. There, he just stood still without doing anything. There was no echo of sound or light of hope approaching him. Makes the heart start to worry and wonder, 'Huh ... how long has it been, huh?'

Suddenly, there was a slight sound that sank from a distance. The sound began to appear from before Adam, like the sound of a small person shouting from a distance. The muffling sound slowly approached, "Hey! Hello ...!" There was a voice calling from a girl who just kept approaching,"Master ...!" The voice started to sound clear, "Are you able to hear me?!"

At first, from the front a blurry picture of a small shadow is seen. Then, the blurry shadow slowly became clear and saw the form, a girl so extraordinary.

The girl warmly welcomed with a sweet smile on her pink lips. Makes a real feeling of worry, fading and disappearing instantly.

The little girl tried to get along with greeting, but Adam still felt unusual. Can be seen from the flat face and obvious confusion.

Then Adam walked slowly past the girl. He observed the area around the room in the form of a hallway, but there was no end to it, not even the ceiling. The room was very bright with many screen decorations arranged very neatly on each large wall, like a cctv that shows the number of events.

With hundreds of screens? Nnnnope.

A thousand? Not particularly.

Perhaps countless, because the end of the wall was unreachable by the eye.

"O earth person, you're finally focusing on me. Welcome to Helen Gate," said the girl in her nervous tone and style.

"What ...? Who're you?" ask Adam slowly to the girl.

The girl came before Adam, she placed her two soft hands on her small chest, while blushing shyly introducing herself, "I-I am Ratih," the girl replied stammering.

He is Ratih, comes with all its uniqueness, unravel silver hair, warm brown skin, very charming facial posture, accompanied by blushing cheeks. What an incredible beauty.

"Ratihi ...?" adam tried to be sure.

"Yes, I am Ratih, a Goddess," replied Ratih in a soft tone.

Adam listened to the form of the girl named Ratih in an unusual way, starting by staring at the body up and down that curves like a violin, with her brown skin tightly covered by a beautiful black dress. Ratih's eyes were covered by a dark cloth a little translucent, although it looked less obvious, but it was undeniable, she was really very beautiful.

"Goddess? Shit, I must be hallucinating" said Adam, stroking his forehead.

"Eh, no. It's real" Ratih replied convincingly, "We're at Helen Gate, the link between the worlds of Earth and Mid-Geb."

"Mid-geb?" adam asked, while showing a doubtful expression, "Wait a minute! That real?"

"Yes, Mid-Geb, the world you will live in" replied Ratih.

A moment of recalling Damian's remark that Adam thought was a strange person, suddenly made him mutter to himself, 'Wait a minute, what? this world is what he meant? This real? Or maybe it was just a dream?'

"Eh, that guy? Whatchu mean?" tanya Ratih refuted with a slight uplift of her soft voice, "But, put that aside first! Look, after this you'll be transferred to our realm, Mid-Geb."

Hearing the explanation from Ratih, Adam did not take things too seriously, as his gaze was diverted to the life of someone displayed on the screen. He simply asked briefly, "Your Islam? Continues to?"

Ratih replied, "Usually the dead will be reincarnated. But .., I feel you're different."

"Different?" adam asked in astonishment, while looking at Ratih's face.

"Oh, sorry, it's okay. I-I just ..." Ratih began to tiptoe, placing his palm on Adam's forehead, and asked, "May I see the contents of your mind?" Hearing Ratih's question, Adam blushed a little, and just kept silent because he didn't know what to respond to. However, Ratih's face immediately changed after seeing the contents of Adam's mind. He resentfully said, "Heh, what do you mean?! Little boy?! I'm as old as the bigbang, you know!"

Hearing that, Adam suddenly showed a flat expression, then said, "Heh, good joke boy."

Ratih who could not stand Adam's insinuations also threw away his red face. "N-no! This is my first time talking to a human!" sahut the Goddess, while covering her face with one of her hands.

However, suddenly Ratih was a little shocked, he felt that there was an oddity in Adam's mind. Then he made her ask, "You ... sick, huh?"

Adam does not answer the question, but Ratih realizes it is very hard for a man to reveal to someone the pain he has.

Ratih's palm began to emit a blue-colored light, and his eyes were very gently staring at Adam. "Now it's time to stop being sad, because I will help you" said the Goddess.

Adam did not react much, he simply replied to Ratih nonchalantly, "Yes, whatever. I think I'll wake up soon."

Not thinking unnecessary, Ratih just pulled the black object from Adam's head. Then, he cleared the black thing by blowing it. Black color originally faded, changed to indigo color. He put it back, saying, "I can't take away the pain, but I can convince your soul to live a stronger life, without looking at the past continuously. I am the Goddess of Hope, Ratih," said Ratih with all the words to motivate Adam.

"Wow, it feels, it's lighter" said Adam, amazed, as he felt the weight on his shoulders had disappeared.

"Good, that is the spirit of life" said Ratih, pulling his hand back. "I am one of the many gods who govern the laws of the world. We used to be just a dream from someone, until it turned into a source of life," continued the Goddess while holding Adam's hand.

"Dreams turned into a source of life? What are you talking about?" asked Adam puzzledly looking at Ratih, then took off his handrails.

Ratih took out a holographic light from both hands, and brought the hologram closer to Adam, saying, "It all started with a great power, the power of dreams joined with the highest imagination. Slowly, the two forces composed nothingness until it was at the point of creating a beginning. That empty power exploded, then established reality. All the components that make up the universe in this dream world are absolute, therefore everything comes alive. This world can no longer be called a dream world, because this world now has its own reality" Ratih explained, ending the visual image of the hologram.

Confused by the things described by Ratih, Adam asked, "I don't understand, what are you trying to say?"

"You're saying you're one of them?"

Ratih replied, "Yes, there are many Gods and Goddesses, we are connected to compile every law, concept, and reality of this universe, and the Creator."

"Huh, the Creator?" suhut Adam looked at Ratih with a pretty serious face.

Ratih replied, "He is a being of the highest degree, standing watch over the shadow of the gods."

Adam almost fell asleep to hear Ratih's explanation which was so complicated for humans to believe. But for this senseless experience that he had experienced, Adam tried to understand every condition that existed, saying, "Well, you'll wake up soon enough" he said calmly.

Ratih suddenly stopped in his tracks, he turned, and held Adam's hand tightly, saying, "Adam, I need you now and you need me too. I want you to fight to save this world."

"Huh, fight what? I don't need this stupid world of yours" said Adam in a stern tone, shaking off Ratih's handrails.

"Indeed? What's left of the old world for you?" ask back to Ratih.

Adam fell silent and was unable to answer the question, for nothing remained of his former world. He just kept quiet there, thinking hard to shift the conversation until he got the best idea, that is, saying nothing.

However, amidst that awkwardness, it flashed through Adam's mind about Damian whom he had just met. He assumes that Damian engineered all this and made himself hallucinate. However, it was immediately refuted by the Goddess by saying, "Sorry, I don't know the person you mean."

Hearing Ratih's rebuttal, Adam was shocked, and asked, "Heh, did I just slip away?"

"Aa—, so gini," Ratih suddenly scratched his right cheek with one of his index fingers, then continued, saying, "I've already made a mind connection, it was a common thing that Gods or Goddesses did to beings who were in their authority. But, I don't know the man you're referring to, although I can clearly see his face from your memory" Ratih told Adam.

Adam just nodded, and said, "Alright. It seems he's just a man. So, can I wake up from this sleep now?"

"Hem.. If there are no more questions, you will be moved to mid-geb. Hope you get used to it. If you need me, then pray on my behalf, I will help you immediately," said Ratih as he raised one of the hands wrapped in a spell.

A yellow light called Mana, suddenly coiled around Adam's feet, making gravity start to unbalance. Usually one's feet step on the surface pedestal, but this phenomenon is hard to believe, because at this time Adam's body is fully floated.

"There will be a change in the concept of the world. I don't need to explain, because we don't have time. You will know these changes as time goes on" Ratih's message commemorates Adam. "We're about to begin the transfer!"

Hearing that, Adam was startled and asked, "Huh? A transfer? I thought I would be reincarnated. No-no, this must be a dream."

Dewi Ratih raised one hand, then a red light appeared on his fingertips, appearing it was another Mana. Without any foretelling, an abstract pictorial emblem appeared on Adam's right arm. It was the first Mana Adam had ever felt, but Adam did not care at all.

Ratih explained, "Now you are the Knight of the Gods, Onni belongs to the Goddess of Hope. The sign means you are my messenger. There are many lives, not only Onni, but mid-geb locals with different races, tribes, and other things. Of course things you never met in your life before."

Hearing that explanation, Adam did not want to say anything, except his mind, "Yes ... These lights, signify I'm going to wake up ...!"

Ratih's eyeballs are black, suddenly one of them turns bright blue with many foreign letters in it. "Your soul will be transported to a body, but. Pray to me if something bad happens" said Ratih to commemorate Adam.

"Haah? I can't hear, because of this pressure, but whatever," said Adam seemed resigned to the situation.

Ratih said to Adam, "This may be the wrong thing, but. Adam, I trust you with all this. Your presence is a great hope."

"I can't hear, what are you talking about?!"

Suddenly everything became dark as before, but soon a small light continued to grow; explaining the vision of the eyes, and then faded.

Instantly, the atmosphere became clear.

Starting to hear the sound of the horse's legs being angry, they seemed to be chasing something. Then, there were also hysterical cries of men and women from all directions.

There, Adam rose from the ground, but was treated by something that was never imagined. Seeing a girl hysterically running towards him, it made him raise both hands.

"Please, Goddess ...! Anyone, Please ...!" the girl shouted and ran towards Adam.

However, suddenly a black shadow appeared darting rapidly beyond the sight of the eyes. Adam noticed the move, but he was unable to react.

By the time they were about to reach Adam's hand, they had just touched the palm of their finger. Spontaneously, the girl's body was cut into two pieces. His blood spilled over Adam's body and the poor girl's body slammed into the ground with her guts scattered.

Suddenly, a heavy man's voice came from the side, "Argh..!" the echoes from the extremely violent scream were extremely piercing through the eardrum. Just hearing it is enough to make the legs become weak.

Adam, with his brimmed fur, unconsciously turned his face in that direction. There was a figure of a large, black-haired creature, its mouth snout forward with fanged teeth, and a deep red aura surrounded its body. Unidentified, what a creature this was, but he shouted out loudly mentioning a name, "For my master, Mandraak ...! "

Then, one of the creatures appeared that had the same shape, but he was smaller. He approached Adam, calling his friends, "Hey, hey, look ... This person suddenly appeared from within the ground. Very...weak," said the creature in a mocking tone.

Adam could do nothing, when the strange creatures had surrounded him. They laughed together, mocking Adam who just stayed there.

The atmosphere became gripping as Adam showed his eyes filled with despair. He could do nothing, other than insulting himself calmly.

"Yes-yes ... I deserve this."
