The Story Behind the Curse

"If you may know, what ritual was that?" jack asked as the woman calmed down.

The woman stared one by one at the face of the man who was waiting for an answer from his mouth. "Ritual to remove the curse."

"Eliminating curses? What curse?"

"A curse if a man snatches our crown, the man will lose his life immediately."

"What! How come?"

Before answering, the woman tried to sit down. But the legs and hands were tied, making it difficult for the woman to lift her body. Rahul who was closer than the woman immediately invited her to sit and lean.

"How is there such a ritual? Has it been there since?" nikki asked.

"It has been a long time since our kingdom was condemned for the wrong that our people never did" the woman replied with a sad look on her face. Even he looked down and shed tears.

Jack, Nikki and Rahul look at each other. They wanted to ask further but could not bear to see the state of the woman. The woman looked up and looked at the three men before her. His forehead was wrinkled, I don't know what he was thinking.

"We're actually wanderers," Jack answered the origin after a quick thought. While Nikki and Rahul look at Jack as if he was demanding an explanation.

"Wanderer?" ask the woman doubt.

"Yes, traveler," replies Jack sure. "We're actually passing by on this island. But for some reason, a storm hit our ship and as you can see, we're here."

Nikki and Rahul look at each other and they throw each other a smile and admit Jack's greatness in finding excuses that cannot be suspected.

"Are you not sure of everything I said?" jack asked casually even though his heart was a little was. The woman just shook her head without making a sound. But it's enough for Jack that the woman believes.

"Now try to tell me, what exactly is going on on this island? Why is there such a curse?" lick Jack.

"All this happened because of a misunderstanding between the people of this island and the male dragon of the ruler of the east sea."

"Boy dragon?" jack, Nikki and Rahul said almost simultaneously with widened eyes. The three young men instantly showed their shocked faces upon hearing the dragon's words from the woman's lips. Between wonder and disbelief, Jack and the stranger, now friends, stare at each other for a moment, then look back at the woman.

"Yes, the dragon was furious that someone attacked the female dragon until the female dragon lost its power. The dragon was pregnant, but their son died a few days later. The male dragon is as angry as he is attacking our country" said the woman in a trembling tone.

"And the dragon cursed you so?" ask Nikki.

The woman nodded and then looked down. "The dragon cursed us so that the woman who still had the crown could not be entered by men. Not only our kingdom, but other kingdoms are also affected. If a man does so, he will die for a moment. The dragon cursed like that with the intention that we have no offspring, because he has lost his son and his wife is very weak because his strength is gone."

The three young men fell silent with straight looks towards the girl. The heart wants to be unreliable but everything seems real.

"Have any men ever broken that curse?" now Rahul asked after being silent for a while.

"So that's why there are only women on this island?" nikki.
