17. The past (finished)

Edward opened the box. And the contents were a pair of Yin and Yang necklaces.

Aileen looked at her father with a confused look.

"This is a pair of necklaces that are connected to each other. One for baby, and one for daddy. Here let daddy wear it" explained Edward with a bright smile and move towards his son.

He put on a white necklace, and Aileen also put a black necklace on Edward.

Then shut up for a moment to think. He felt something a little strange.

"Daddy, aren't our necklaces switched? Isn't Yin for women and Yang for men?" asked Aileen who had just noticed it

"Indeed what baby explained earlier is not wrong, but daddy has his own understanding of daddy" he said while wiping Aileen's mane with affection

"Here baby" Edward patted her on the thigh for Aileen to sit on her lap

Aileen who understood immediately approached the father and sat on his father's lap and faced his father.

"For daddy, Vanka is the light sent by God to light up daddy's dark life. And daddy is the darkness that should be illuminated by light.

Light and darkness need each other. It is the same with humans as social beings. Does Vanka understand, honey?"

"Vanka knows daddy. Vanka dear daddy" said Aileen and hugged Edward tightly

He loved his father very much. To him, the father was his savior. He promised to be with his father always.

But, will the promise last or be broken someday?

Not long for the food to come. Aileen ordered steak, vegetable salads, and sweet iced tea. Edward ordered steak and lemon tea.

After they finished eating, they returned to the mansion.

When he arrived, Edward saw his son who had fallen asleep finally carrying the child to his child's room.

As he exits the elevator, Brandon will descend to the bottom floor.

"Let me carry it. You rest" said Brandon and took Aileen from Edward's sling

Edward too now did not matter if Brandon was holding Aileen. And only he and Brandon can touch Aileen.

After giving Aileen to Brandon, not forgetting he landed kisses on both cheeks, forehead, nose and lastly he kissed his son's lips.

"Good night, baby. Sleep well" said Edward fondly

After that, Brandon brought Aileen into his room and laid her on the mattress after taking off her shoes and other accessories.

He then kissed Aileen on the forehead and left Aileen's room.

The moon changed. Tomorrow is Edward's 35th birthday.

Aileen had prepared a big surprise for her father.

Maybe even the surprise can shock the world with a special surprise for the beloved and beloved father.

He plans to give his father a surprise at midnight. He was sure his father would be happy.

It is now 23:56 p.m. Aileen was ready with a small gift in her jacket pocket and the grand prize would be given tomorrow.

Earlier, he pretended to have fallen asleep so that his plan went smoothly.

He arrived at his father's door and went straight in, but he did not see his father. He decided to go to Rooftop. I don't know why his heart said to go there.

So he went to Rofftop. And it's true that there, from a distance, he saw that Edward was talking to Brandon.

He held his gift in his hand. He was about to approach, but he overheard something related to him coming out of Edward's mouth.

Thanks to his sharp hearing, he was able to listen to what Edward said.

"Hey, Brandon. I. I want to tell you something. But, can you keep it a secret from Vanka. Whatever happens, don't say it.

Promise me. When it's time, I promise to be honest with him. Now, my soul and body are not ready to lose themselves" Edward said, looking straight ahead

"Whatis that? Why should I keep this a secret from him? And why are you telling me this? What are you really hiding from Aileen?" ask Brandon in a row

"Just listen, keep it a secret, and don't cut my story. If you want to talk, when you're done, you can talk. Remember not to cut" Edward said

He begins to recount the beginning of his encounter with Aileen and how Aileen brought about a profound change in his life.

He tells her everything until he kills his family and as he pretends to be Aileen's savior.

He even said the purpose he had was to kill both of Aileen's parents. Honestly, he didn't want to do it. But, because they were already emotional because they tried to separate Aileen from her,

Because Aileen's parents began to suspect that her son was always followed by an unknown person, so they went abroad and lived in the Netherlands.

Edward, fearing that he would lose his light, ends up looking for him and eventually finds him in Holland.

And out of nowhere, he ends up choosing to eliminate Aileen's family and take Aileen.

He also revealed everything to Brandon. Brandon was in shock with what Edward had told him.

Edward also honestly said that he loved his son more than anything even his life was not comparable to his son.

Aileen who heard all of that could only silently stare behind the wall that was blocking her.

He cried in silence, and as he was about to move, he accidentally dropped the item behind him. And immediately walk away.

Dugh

Edward and Brandon who heard that were shocked, they looked at each other for a moment and immediately got close to it.

When they arrived, they saw Aileen who was walking while looking down. If observed carefully, his shoulders look vibrating which signifies,

if he was crying. Edward who saw it became very panicked, he thought, did his son hear everything he said?

"Baby" Edward said, which Aileen could still hear

He stopped and without turning around, he asked Edward.

"Is all that true?" aileen asked in a very slow tone that Edward could still hear

"Honey, deng-" Edward's speech was cut off in Aileen's voice

"I asked. Is everything you're saying true, dear Mr Edward Frey Bram?" asked Aileen in a very cold tone

"Sorry" Edward said with stammering words, and only that word could be spoken by him.

He was struck by lightning hearing his son did not call him 'daddy' and instead called him with a name that sounded they were not close.

"So, is that all true?" aileen asked softly with her hands clenched tightly

"B-baby, listen to the p-pen" and again, Edward's speech was cut off seeing Aileen raising her hand signal not to continue with her explanation

"I don't need an explanation, Mr. Edward. And thank you for taking care of me. Then excuse me" said Aileen coldly and turned to Edward and Brandon and bowed

As he lifted his head, he saw a face that looked very pitiful with a face that was covered in tears.

After that he turned around and ran very quickly with pain.

Edward and Brandon saw it like they were stabbed by thousands of knives in the heart.

Edward shed his tears and called Vanka's name while trying to chase after his son, but was held back by Brandon.

Edward tried to rebel and shouted to call the name of his son who had disappeared from the direction of his view.

"Ed, relax! Don't be rash. Let Aileen alone, she needs time to accept reality. I'm gonna go follow him, you calm yourself down" Brandon said

After seeing Edward calm down, he calls Jeremi to help him calm Edward down, after Jeremi arrives, Brandon immediately hands Edward over to Jeremi and chases Aileen.

On the side of Aileen

Aileen walked alone in the dark of the night and ended up raining in the middle of the road.

Despite the rain, he felt that even the rain knew what he was feeling right now. With the help of rain, he can vent his feelings.

Aileen shouted as loud as possible to soak up her emotions.

Once satisfied, he entered into his dimensional space.

While inside, he immediately cleansed himself and rested.
