61. Broken by Unbelief

That afternoon, Ryan was taking Anna for an afternoon walk together. He had just raised his hand to press Anna's room bell, but when he heard the voice saying his name, he suddenly paused his intention.

Ryan brought his ear closer to the door, so he could hear what Anna had to say about her feelings for Ryan.

"Ck, so it's free for me to follow you here, if you're going to keep pushing me, '" Ryan said, then walked back to his room.

"I'll make sure you'll be mine Anna" Ryan murmured with a sharp look as he stuffed something into his pants pocket.

Night in Toraja is very cold. After dinner, Wildan decided to take a short walk to enjoy the night air in Toraja.

Wildan's footsteps stopped to see Ryan sitting alone in a cafe.

"Ryan why are you hanging out there by yourself? or I'll just join in" Ryan's monologue stepped in but stopped when the waiter came to take two drinks to Ryan's desk.

"Why two? is he with someone?" muttered Wildan spoke for himself.

Wildan decided not to move from his place to monitor Ryan who he had always been wary of.

A moment later, Wildan furrowed his eyebrows when he saw Ryan pull something out of his pocket that looked like medicine, Ryan then put the obay into the drink beside his drink.

"Gosh, what's that kid doing," Wildan said, clenching his hands.

While in the room, Yasmin was getting ready for bed.

"Yes, I was taken by Ryan to the cafe next door, it looks like there's something she wants to talk to me about" Anna said, wearing her hijab and jacket.

"You want me to be with you?" yasmin rose from her sleep.

"No, maybe Ryan needs privacy" Anna said.

"Yes, be careful and don't take long, yeah," said Yasmin then back to lay her body.

"Okay, Assalamu 'alaikum." Anna then went out and closed the door.

Anna walks out of the hotel to a cafe next to the hotel.

"Hi Ryan, sorry long," said Anna directly sitting in front of Ryan.

"Oh yes papa Ann, this is kissing you, I ordered first so you can drink immediately when you arrive here," said Ryan thrust a drink that was beside his drink earlier in front of Anna.

"Ciee is very good, thank you, well" said Anna then took the drink to drink it.

Wildan came over from beside Anna and immediately hit the glass until it fell and broke.

"Don't drink this drink Ann," Wildan insisted, leaving Anna frowning in confusion.

"What do you mean Wildan?" ask Anna

"Hey, how dare you bother us like that" Ryan snapped angrily at Wildan.

"That drink has been added to the drug by Ryan" Wildan said, staring intently at Ryan.

"You mean what Wil? how could I have done that to Anna? he's my best friend from childhood," snapped Ryan didn't want to lose.

"But I saw you Ryan! you obviously put the medicine in Anna's drink," Wildan raised his voice in annoyance.

"There's no way I'm doing that, and what are you doing here? are you spying on us again?" ryan's murmur cornered Wildan.

"Stop your bullshit Ryan, don't divert the conversation" Wildan said.

"What empty egg? how could there be such a coincidence as you say that, coincidentally a vacation to Toraja, coincidentally seeing us here, it wasn't a coincidence but you did spy on us, right?" Ryan's getting into Wildan's emotions.

"How dare you say I'm like that" growled Wildan pulled Ryan's collar and was about to hit him.

"Stoooppp!!!" anna's shout made the two men instantly speechless.

Anna immediately left the place without speaking.

Ryan is silent to Anna's departure, while Wildan goes after Anna.

"Anna wait, please believe me, I'm not spying on you guys, and what I said earlier is true." Wildan spoke while following Anna who walked first in front of him with quick steps.

"Ann, please trust me," said Wildan making Anna instantly stop her steps and turn around.

"What's? believe it? how can I trust you more than Ryan I've known since childhood, we grew up together. There's no way she's doing that to me." Wildan immediately felt his heart pinch, he felt his legs so weak that he could no longer step.

"So, you don't trust me?" she explained, "i have never spied on you, I only overheard your conversation while at the restaurant, and I followed you not to spy on you or disturb you, I just want to keep you from people like Ryan" he continued.

"What do you know about Ryan? he's good, always there when I need help, if there's anyone I should be aware of, it's you" Anna snapped and left Wildan, who was still standing, unable to puckle.

Wildan's tears did not come, his heart was so sick to hear Anna's words. His intention to protect Anna was instantly broken by Anna's disbelief in him.

In the other corner, Ryan smiles satisfied to see Anna's anger at Wildan.

"That's the result if you interfere in my affairs," the cynical Ryan smiled cunningly.
