"Valentin is. As we thought, he's really clever!" Mikail said as she took off her shoes after they arrived at the apartment. "Until this far, he's never half-and-half. He's a very dangerous opponent!"
Cheri did not react, the girl was stunned in the doorway, looking at the empty air in the middle of the room.
Mikail spontaneously turned her head with a frown in confusion.
"No phone call from Rafael" Cheri murmured as he leaned over to open his shoes.
Mikail gave a short sigh.
I have been waiting since yesterday.
"A little while Valentin will be sleeping" Mikail encouraged him. "If there's a chance, Rafael will call you soon."
Cheri pushed both of his shoes to the corner, then took off his coat.
"Take care of your health, Cheri." Mikail patted the top of her head. "From tomorrow, we will launch a counterattack."
Cheri looked into Mikail's eyes.
The man just smiled thinly as usual, then urged her gently, "Sleep," she said.
Cheri returned his smile and rushed to his room.
A few minutes later, the girl fell asleep without changing clothes.
And at what time, a phone call finally came in and woke the girl up late at night.
"Cheri—"
"Rafael!" Cheri exclaimed happily, his drowsiness instantly disappearing.
Rafeel smiled warmly across the phone. He was waiting, Rafael concluded. Then cleared his throat, "Hm, Cheri. Valentin has messed up all the plans. I can't do anything, just see what he's doing, and I'm not sure…"
"There's definitely a chance for a counterattack, right?" Cheri cuts off Rafael's speech.
"Ah, I don't know. But I'll think of a way."
Silent.
Cheri could feel the man had lost his confidence. "Rafael…"
"Yes." Yeah."
"Your voice. What's going on?"
"Ah—i'm fine."
No, thought Cheri worried. His voice…
Is he really okay?
"Rafael, I. I want to meet." Finally, Cheri managed to express it. "I'll be there! Where are you now?
"Ah—best not!" Rafael answered quickly. "It takes an hour and a half from there. I am now in Moscow Oblast. If it takes up to two hours, Valentin could have woken up."
"I can get there faster" Sergey Cheri. "I'm leaving now!" Then without waiting for approval, the girl closed the connection unilaterally.
Rafael sighed helplessly.
This girl is really stubborn and impatient, he thought.
Cheri could not let the man lose his spirit. I don't know why he's calmer than Cheri. That's getting more troubling for Cheri. If Rafael loses his will to fight, it is likely that the man cannot win. If he loses, that body will forever belong to Valentin.
No, thought Cheri. I'm not gonna let that happen!
It wasn't until an hour, the girl had actually reached Rafael's place.
"Wait here" Cheri told the taxi driver. "I won't be long. I promise!" he said convince the man.
Rafael was already waiting in a park in the grounds of the hotel where he was staying.
Cheri rushed towards the man with sparkling eyes, his heart racing and his heart flowered.
Rafael glued to look at the girl's face with a rumbling feeling. Everything in him wanted to catch the girl and never take it off again. Sadness suddenly strikes him.
"Rafael-eventually.." Cheri stopped one step in front of him, looking up at the man's face with the smile of a lover.
A lover who missed that man.
Yeah, Rafael thinks he's almost unsure. She's my lover now!
Can he take it off? Forgetting it? Leave it with someone else?
Uh!
"The witness is still waiting" the girl's voice resuscitated Rafael from his daydream.
"Ah—ya... um..." Rafael suddenly misbehaved and a little disappointed. Even time is not on my side, he said inwardly. But he tried to force a smile, adding, "Good, good" he said. "That way, you can just leave before I endanger you."
Cheri bit his lower lip half grimacing. Then suddenly hit him and drowned himself in Rafael's arms. Put his face into the man's chest. "Please don't think like that" he began to cry. "You have to fight it. Defeat him! You'll win."
For a moment, Rafael did not know how he should react.
"Please don't give up" lamented Cheri. "I love you so much."
Rafael's heart immediately slipped, and automatically made both his hands move up and round on Cheri's shoulders, peeking at the top of the girl's head, then raising her face.
Cheri blinked to get rid of the tear grains that blocked his view.
"I'll win, for sure." Rafael whispered as he brought his face closer to Cheri's, "And.." His face drew closer. "You'll be mine." Rafael landed his mouth in Cheri's mouth and gripped him longingly.
I won't be able to take it off, Rafael realized. Then determined to defend the girl as well as her body.
So in the end, the meeting was short without any more talk. The two decide to pour out their feelings for each other through a long deep kiss, letting go of each other's longing. Hugging each other, kissing each other again. Hardly willing to let go of each other.
No matter how, Cheri must remain mine, Rafael thought.
Rafael actually did not care much about his body— at first. If this body is not mine, then why should I keep it again. After all he had no objections whatsoever regarding the heirs. He didn't want that position either.
But the presence of Cheri that night seemed to open the eyes of his heart. Realizing the girl was in his arms, feeling the girl's sweet lips on his lips as if awakening Rafael that he still had business in this world. So, he decided not to give up. Even if they have to fight over the body for all eternity. He doesn't care.
At least, he'll just look after and see Cheri. The rest is up to Valentin. Rafael will give his all to Valentin.
It's not Cheri!
.
.
.
The morning came so fast.
Cheri's meeting with Rafael last night, felt like a dream. He doesn't even remember how he came home. Along his way to the apartment, filled with unexpected shadows of Rafael's affection. The man had actually dared to show his feelings blatantly.
Now, Cheri should have calmed down.
But the memory of that kiss won't go out of his mind.
When Mikail's car finally rolled down the highway, Cheri suddenly worried that he would face another man who was not Rafael.
How I'm gonna deal with it after their kiss last night. After all, it was the body that Rafael used to kiss and hug him.
Uh! Cheri exhaled heavily many times.
Mikail glanced at him with a questioning expression and was a little anxious.
"How do you think you can keep up with Vladimir and Valentin?" Cheri asked half muttered. "I'm really scared" he admitted. "Especially Rafael's self-confidence has also been lost."
Mikail smiled knot. "Calm down, Cheri. They must be hostile to each other."
Cheri finally turned to Mikail.
Mikail stared back at him with a strengthening intensity of gaze. "Inevidently from today Valentin decided to move the practice to the town hall. Vladimir is really angry."
"True, too" chimpal Cheri. "From the beginning, they were just as unwilling to lose."
"It won't work out" Mikail agreed. "This is our chance."
"Good then," Cheri let out a sigh of relief.
"We've arrived" Mikail told me.
Cheri looked out and was stunned.
"In the past, to take care of the preparation of the staging, I had to go around," Mikail told. He slipped out and turned. Then open the door for Cherie.
Cheri stepped down and looked up at the city hall building in front of him worriedly.
A magnificent building in the classical style of the medieval era, towering haughty in front of him. Feels cold and arrogant, wanting Cheri on Vladimir and Valentin.
Cheri sighed deeply, trying to brace himself to face whatever was waiting for him inside.
"I'll pick you up later." Mikail closed the car door and patted the girl on the shoulder to provide support.
