The Mistaken Son-in-law

The Mistaken Son-in-law
CHAPTER 2

Pov (Aisha)

PRAAANGGGS...

I was picking up a glass in the kitchen, accidentally dropping the glass I held after hearing my mother-in-law say.

All this time there were so many ca*ci ma*ki and insults I received from my mother-in-law, but when she said I was barren my heart ached so much, accidentally my tears dripped without me being able to hold.

The age of my marriage with Mas Arya has entered the third year and during that time there have been no signs of pregnancy for me. We went to the doctor and the test results said we were both healthy and fertile.

Mas Arya and I did not have no effort to immediately have offspring, from trying medical drugs, herbal medicine, and medicine, eating and nourishing and other efforts but it seems that God has not entrusted the presence of children in our marriage.

Is not the child a gift of God, we as his servants cannot force desire if God has not willed, we can only pray and be patient.

But it seems like my mother-in-law could not be patient so she immediately asked me who was troubled even though we had shown the test results stating that we were both the same - both healthy and fertile.

In the past his attitude to me was not like this although sometimes jutek because at first he did not agree with my relationship with his son because I and Mas Arya were different tribes. I am a Bugis and Mas Aryan Javanese, but he never uttered a harsh word or insult to me.

But after my father-in-law died two years ago and we moved here, because Arya was discharged from her workplace, my mother-in-law's attitude turned hostile and hateful to me.

He accused me of being the unlucky carrier that caused my father-in-law to die and Mas Arya was fired. Moreover, I who was not yet pregnant made my mother-in-law hate me even more.

"Basar son-in-law is not very clever, why the glass can be broken so, quickly clean it so that there are no shards of shard left behind, then stepped on Maira". Snapped my in-laws while staring hard at me.

"Sorry Mom, I'm going to clean up soon". I answered while holding back the cry.

"Have Ma not been like that Aisyah, she said it was not intentionally, no need to scold her until it was like that". Said Ryan defending me.

My mother-in-law looked at me with a dislike gaze due to the defense of her first child.

"Give up, I've no appetite, I want to go to the room, and you're smart once you look for the face of the child and my daughter-in-law. Quickly clean that up and clean the dining table". My in-laws as they passed entered his room.

After cleaning the remaining glass, I headed to the dining table to clean up their food marks. For a moment I stared at the remaining meal, I cooked it but I couldn't enjoy it.

"This is Ma'am auxiliary". Mother Bella's voice approached me.

"No need, Ma'am Bell, let me just be right, better Maira deal with this is my duty, after all, Mbak is also a guest here". Refuse me smooth.

It's not that I refused Ms. Bella's help but that I was afraid that if my mother-in-law found out, she would scold me again because Ms. Bella was her favorite daughter-in-law.

"It's okay to be done quickly, after all, Ma'am is not busy, Maira has taken care of her father". Said Bella.

I let Ms. Bella help me, because she kept pushing me.

Finally always all, so it's faster because it's helped by my brother-in-law.

"Thank you Ma'am for helping me". My speech

"Same - same Aisyah, we are family so never hesitate to ask for help with Ma'am and Mas Ryan yes. You are patient to face the mother, hopefully the attitude of the mother can be better to you". Said Bella.

"Aamiin Ma'am Inshallah, only Allah is the All-Rejector of his servant". I smiled, I felt like I had an older sister because I was an only child.

"Yes, Ma'am to the room first yes, you also see Ma'am see your face pale". Bella then passed to her room.

"Yes, happy break". My reply

Then I passed to the bathroom to clean up and commute to perform Isya prayers.

After praying I tidied up my prayer kit and changed clothes to sleep, I saw the clock on the wall showing it was almost nine o'clock at night but my husband had not yet returned.

'Yes Allah protect my husband'. I murmured in my heart.

I opened the drawer next to my bed and took a picture, it was a picture of my late parents.

"Etta, Emma Aisyah longs". Say it while crying.

My memory goes back a few years to when my parents were alive, even though we lived in simplicity but we lived happily. But the happiness was lost because of the sudden departure of my parents. At the time of the incident I was in school to see my high school graduation results.

'ANDI AISYAH MAHARANI'S'. I smiled happily seeing my name in first place on the graduation announcement.

Thank God I graduated with the best grades, my faith to study at my favorite campus is getting closer, thank you I said to Allah SWT. My friends and teachers congratulated me.

I refused to invite my friends to celebrate our graduation, because I wanted to go home soon. I can't wait to tell my parents about my graduation.

I rode my bike as fast as I could, to get to my house, I passed through a vast expanse of rice fields, because the majority of the livelihoods in my hometown were farming and gardening.

I didn't feel like I was getting to the entrance to my house, but I was confused as to why there was a white flag in front of my fence and many people in my yard.

I just left my bike and broke into the house, when I arrived at the door my body was staring at two bodies lying stiff in front of me, heard the cry of Aunt Hasna my mother's sister, she said, roaring - roaring my mother's name. Next to my aunt husband calms her down.

Suddenly I lost strength in my legs and sat on the floor. Aunt Hasna noticed my presence, then moved towards me and immediately hugged me.

"Patient son, have gone Etta (father) with your Emma (mother), you are strong yes son, there is a aunt with your Om who will take care of you. Let them go, son". Aunt Hasna's words strengthened me.

I let go of Aunt Hasna's embrace and headed for my late parents' bed. I looked at their faces one by one. And broke my cry. I cried hugging the two bodies that had been stiff.

"Etta, Emma why do Aisha stay. I want to be alone. Build Etta, Emma saw Aisyah pass with the best grades according to Etta's expectations of Emma.

"The same Emma said she wanted to see Aisyah become a scholar, so successful people, married, had children and lived happily. Why did you leave before you saw it all.

"Wake Etta, wake Emma". Shouting hysterically.

"Have sincere parents, let them calm down there". Said Aunt Hasna back to strengthen me.

I also fell unconscious because I could not accept the passing of my parents so quickly. I fainted long enough that I couldn't see my parents buried.

And as I learned from the story of Aunt Hasna, my parents died from being hit on their way home from the market by a sleepy driver. The driver has already received his sentence

I have forgiven him but I have not been able to let go of my parents who suddenly.

After my parents' departure, my world was at a standstill, I lost my spirit. I have no interest in continuing college anymore. Every day I just stay in my room.

My aunt and Omku never stopped comforting me, not even my friends and teachers could persuade me.

After being satisfied with crying, I fell asleep while hugging a picture of my parents.

I don't know how long I slept, I woke up because someone rubbed my cheek. I opened my eyes and saw my husband standing in front of me smiling.

"You're home yet?" My toot.

Seriate...
