The Perfect Love

The Perfect Love
The Perfect Love

"Again the night." Supiah says. She had fallen asleep waiting for her husband to come home. He woke up in shock when the door of the room suddenly opened.

"You're so chatty, "" Rustam took off one by one the buttons of his shirt until then he just wore a singlet shirt. Thrown it so dirty shirt into a plastic rag located in one corner of the room.

"Not so Bang, I'm just worried lately brother often come home at night."

"You know your brother is new from the Jawi River, who has land does not want to take off his land too cheap the price you offer, he said."

"Does the price quote take a long time Bang until brother comes home at night?"

"You're asking again."

"Sorry Bang I just....."

"Have you, brother, been taking a hot bath and you've prepared it?"

"Not Bang."

"How are you."

"Sorry Bang if I prepare early while you haven't come home the water will be cold."

"You're ready now quickly."

Rushing Supiah into the kitchen, she heard her husband say back,

"Where's nizar?"

"I've been sleeping since Bang."

A week later. Big success. All units of the house located in Jeruju sold all. The land in the Jawi River has also been obtained by Rustam. Eventually that shitty landowner could be conquered as well.

"Allhamdulilah yes Bang finally all housing in Jeruju can sell all. Land on the Jawi River can also be obtained at a reasonable price." Supiah brought me a piece of fried rice, breakfast for Rustam today.

"Go to Jakarta." Rustam took a plate of fried rice from Supiah's hand.

"Why go to Jakarta?"

"Babang's friend in Jakarta wants to buy a house in Pontianak. He wants to buy a house in one of the houses you made in New Town."

"Yes, but why go to Jakarta? Through the phone can only if you want to make a deal to buy a house that you make in the area of New Town."

"You're a chatty bini. Brother to Jakarta met with friends Abang tuh not just talking about home. There's something you want to talk about with your brother's friend and it can't be over the phone."

"What's the Bang about?"

"You're asking again."

"It's wrong for me as a baby brother to know about what he's doing."

"Business satisfied"

Supiah didn't say anymore. Her husband is so character. It's not fun to talk to. Rough, gluttonous, but I don't know, maybe love his name that people say is confusing. He just wanted to accept this man's proposal when he came to face his parents.

"When did you go to Jakarta?" ask Supiah again.

"Tomorrow."

"Sir, so when does Nizar go to check?" ask the boys only their puppets with plate logic. Nizar himself is currently sitting on a small zero bench in a Kanak-Kanak Park located in the Lower Siantan area.

"Bang, bile brother want to marry me?" ask Nurpiah to Rustam. They are currently in one of the luxury hotels in the Central Jakarta area. They were this morning to Blok M which is the most hits shopping center of the era. They buy several items such as bags, jewelry, clothes and shoes, and makeup equipment. Then they set foot into a fast food restaurant in Sarinah, not far from the hotel where they stayed for lunch.

Nurpiah is a widow but eight years younger than his wife. He married a wealthy businessman twenty years his senior. Nurpiah's husband had once bought one of the houses sold by Rustam in the Sungai Raya Dalam area.

When Nurpiah's husband bid the price of the house sale that Rustam met for the first time with the figure of Nurpiah because he participated with her husband looking for a house that they want to occupy later.

It is clear that Nurpiah occasionally steals a glance at him secretly. At once Rustam knew that Nurpiah was unhappy with her marriage and put her heart into it. The paddles are also welcomed. Rustam at that time also began to get bored with his own marriage. His wife no longer drew in his eyes. As his ego man begins to be challenged to conquer again the heart of a woman. Moreover, their age was more or less only ten years adrift. That means he is not too old for a beautiful, young Nurpiah, and so alluring in his body as the perfect Spanish violin.

Secretly she always met Nurpiah if her husband was not at home because he had to go outside the city or out of the island of Borneo and also out of the country for business. They often meet in restaurants just for lunch and the night ends in a hotel room.

From the mouth of Nurpiah then flowed the story according to what he did. Nurpiah was not happy with her marriage because she had to marry a man she did not love at all. He came from a village located in Sintang district. She was forced to marry by her parents because her parents were in debt with the man who is now her husband. She and her husband are a village. Her husband owns a contractor in Pontianak City.

Nurpiah also said the reason why she was so heartened to Rustam was because she thought Rustam was not too old like her husband. And from their meeting which although sometimes because they could not meet every day, Nurpiah can conclude that Rustam is a good man.

Rustam then explains that he has a wife and also a son. At first Nurpiah was surprised but then he said it did not matter to him whatever Rustam's current status was. It is also ready for honey.

A few days later Nurpiah's husband died of kidney failure. Nurpiah's husband has been suffering from this disease for a long time. Nurpiah then sold her husband's contractor company which automatically fell into her hands. They are not blessed with children.

"Later, Brother is thinking about the right time to marry you," said Rustam, holding red wine in a small glass placed on the nightstand close to their bed. His departure to Jakarta to meet his friend just the reason so that Supiah does not suspect that he to Jakarta just want to have fun with Nurpiah, his cheating that he has known for more than three years. After making a big profit because he managed to sell all units of houses in the area of Juruju.

"Later on, I got tired of hearing that - that was just the reason Abang delayed marrying me," Nurpiah said as he lifted his head that he had put on Rustam's chest.

"Are Abang afraid of the bini Abang tuh," Nurpiah said with his face bent and both hands set in his chest. Rustam remained silent unable to reply to Nurpiah's words.

Throbbing Supiah's head at this time when he remembered the words of some of his neighbors the other day.

"I've seen you have a man on both sides with another woman. He was alone with the woman. It just so happened that the place he was coffee with the woman was close to my coffee shop," said Bu Lim with a thick Chinese accent. Bu Lim, one of his neighbors, accidentally met with Bu Lim when he just returned from Puring market. Bu Lim is the owner of a coffee shop on Gajah Mada street.

"Who are you going to Jakarta?" ask Ms. Salma one of her neighbors also another time. Bu Salma's husband has a business in the field of pharmaceuticals and private hospitals in Jakarta.

"I saw that time accidentally fitting me shopping in Block M with other women," Ms. Salma does often go back and forth Pontianak-Jakarta because she has to accompany her husband in Jakarta and take care of her two sons in Pontianak. The eldest sat in the sixth grade of SD while the second child just sat in the fourth grade of SD. Both attended one of the leading private schools in Pontianak City.

"Maybe I saw it wrong" Nurpiah said at the time.

"Sort of mane I've been wrong to see I know the look of your man very well."

Supiah massaged her head which she felt more pain because she recalled the words of Bu Salma next.

"Don't your man cheat again."

Well he wants this problem not to be protracted. He should talk about this to Rustam.

***

"Bang, I have something to talk about."

"What about?" Rustam asked as he stuffed a mouthful of rice with his sarapanya this morning into his mouth.

So be quiet for a moment. Trying to win the rumble in his heart.

"Who...Who is Bang?"

"Who do you mean by that?"

Supiah then recounted her meeting with Bu Lim and Bu Salma the other day as well as the conversation that took place between them.

"Do you believe them?"

"I ....Bang tell me the truth Bang, is that true?"

"Don't I answer that."

"I mean Brother?"

"You believe what they say rather than with your own man."

"But why did Bu Lim and Miss Salma grow me up."

"So you trust them now" Rustam stopped eating now. Red on his face. He stood up from the chair he was sitting in. An empty chair next to her fell to the floor. Brak! The seatback was broken when it hit the floor of the dining room which was lined with ceramics. Supiah was shocked at her husband's unexpected actions.

"My appetite is gone now" said Rustam as soon as he left, leaving Supiah in shock.

"Mom, why are you even like that?" tanya Nizar who had been peeking at the quarrel between her parents from the gap of the door of her parents' room which happened to be close to the dining room. His face was full of fear at this moment.

"Maybe your father is upset again."

"I regret why? Did you make a mistake?"

"Ndak nong'e now let the mother who sent Nizar to school ya."

Nizar.

Rustam never came home after he quarreled with his wife. Almost three months, he came home to bring another woman to his house.

"Abang has remarried," Rustam said as if it was no big deal.

"Like not like you have to accept it, "he continued.

"What's my fault Bang, why did you do this to me?" asked Supiah while holding back sobs.

" You know what it is you're wrong." Rustam then got out of bed, leaving Supiah now overwhelmed with grief and question marks.

Supiah then rose to look at her reflection in the mirror. It was not the same as the shadow before he married first. Some parts of his body such as arms and stomach began to be filled with fat. There were a few wrinkles that adorned the surface of his face. His own age was currently approaching the beginning of forty years.

That woman is still young. Supiah taxir is eight years younger than him. Her face also still looks beautiful and her body is slim like a perfect violin curve. Is that what made you turn away from me Bang? O Allah grant your servant the strength to endure this trial.

"Kiss my clothes after this," Nurpiah placed a plastic crack containing his dirty clothes near Supiah who had just finished washing the dishes. They are currently in the kitchen.

Three months had passed, Supiah had to be patient with the behavior of her husband's young wife who was so rude. Soup is older than Nurpiah. But Nurpiah did not respect him in the least.

"I'm bothered, I have to cook after this anyway you'll be able to wash your own clothes."

"You know I'm pregnant."

"Yes I know, but the doctor said it three days ago."

Three days ago, Nurpiah and Rustam went to the doctor. After being examined it turns out that nausea and vomiting experienced by Nurpiah every morning is a sign he was pregnant with a child.

"You know how Nurpiah got pregnant you could wash his clothes" Rustam said at night. Just a few minutes ago he had just arrived at the house of Nurpiah had complained about the behavior of Supiah to him this morning.

"I'm not babu Bang any more the doctor just stated she was pregnant three days ago so if just to wash her own clothes she can still."

Supiah had expected Nurpiah to complain about this to Rustam. He wanted to divorce from Rustam but he remembered Nizar, his only child. If he chose a divorce with Rustam certainly many questions that will be asked his son, why his mother until separated from his father.

When Rustam decided to marry Nurpiah and decided to bring Nurpiah to live with them, Nizar had already started asking her about Nurpiah. He must also be smart to explain with language that children the age of Nizar understand about Nurpiah.

Fahri's nickname quickly grew into a boy. His face is pretty bland. Nizar is so happy to play with Fahri who is now five years old while Nizar is currently eleven years old. Next year Nizar entered Junior High School.

"You're a bad boy." Glaring at Nurpiah's eyes looked at Nizar. Nizar accidentally made one of his mother's other sister's knees hurt.

Nizar was piggybacking Fahri using his bicycle. They had just come from a stall located not far from the housing complex where they lived. They bought two chocolate bars and two lollipops. A large stone blocked their path. Nizar tries to avoid the stone but he loses his balance and they fall. Nizar blisters on his elbow while Fahri injures his knee due to hitting a pebble on the road.

Nizar is crying now, not only because of the pain in his scuffed elbow but also the anger from Nurpiah that made him afraid.

"Ep..Bang Nizar's mother should not be scolded," Fahri pleaded between her sobs.

"You're actually defending him, "Nurpiah is now glaring furiously at Fahri. Screaming Fahri saw his mother's gaze like that.

"Had their Nurpiah gone, they were slaves" said Supiah. Right in the kitchen he heard a noise on the porch. He then stopped for a moment his activities in slicing red onions and decided to go to the terrace of the house. There he sees Fahri and Nizar being scolded by Nurpiah.

"Eh listen, I don't like my son hanging out with your son."

Nurpiah then drags Fahri into the house, leaving Nizar and Supiah on the porch of the house.

"Emak, why does Mother Nurpiah seem to hate me so much?"

"Emak Nurpiah doesn't hate you."

"But Mak...."

"Here you go, let's go inside, your wounds must be cleaned for infection."

***

"Emak why?" ask Nizar. Her mother has been nauseous lately and has been going back and forth to the bathroom to vomit.

"Emak ndak nothing might catch a cold."

Supiah stared at the two pink lines in the tespack. Impregnated. His age is now entering the middle forty. Where could this be.

The next morning, Nurpiah went straight to the hospital to determine whether the results of the tespack he did was correct. He went to the hospital after taking Nizar to his school.

"If Allah wills anything can happen Mom" said the doctor who examined him. The doctor stated that the results of the testpack conducted by Supiah were indeed correct. She was pregnant.

"But Doc I'm not young anymore."

"Originally diligent mother control of the mother's womb Insha Allah will all be fine," continued the doctor.

"Are you revenge on me Dek?" asked Rustam the next night after Supiah gave this news.

"I mean Brother?"

"Whose child is that really?"

"Astghfirullah Abang accused me of cheating."

"You're in a way Bang," Supiah held back her tears now. While Rustam just left her in the room with a wound in his heart.

***

Rustam did not care about Supiah's pregnancy who tried to be airy over her husband's attitude, trying to withstand the pain of seeing the intimacy of her husband with his young wife who always they sumbar in front of his eyes. I don't know what they meant to do that, to make him hurt maybe.

Supiah poured orange ABC syrup into a plastic kettles. There was the sound of Nizar and his friends studying the group at the moment in the living room. They are busy discussing the lessons they are doing, which will probably come out later on the final exam.

Although not asked to make a drink, Supiah knew the children would be thirsty later. The weather is so hot right now. Nizar himself has planned that graduating SD will continue to a state Junior High School located not far from the housing complex where they live.

Rustam and Nurpiah were going to Kampung Arang, meeting the invitation of a relative who married his son this Sunday, taking Fahri there with them.

Supiah then brought a tray on which there were several plastic cups and a plastic kettle with syrup inside with a fragment of ice cubes into the living room. The content itself does not feel has entered the fifth month.

When down the steps to go to the living room he was less careful. Legs slipped. It's falling.

Brak! The sound of the fall shocked Nizar and his friends who were again engrossed in discussing about the subjects. They stopped discussing. They quickly came to the source of the sound.

"Emaaac!" nizar's hysterical scream saw his mother lying on the floor with blood flowing from her groin. He ran to his mother. Almost slipped because his feet stepped on a puddle of syrup that spilled from inside a plastic kettle. Some plastic cups seemed to be scattered around them. While his friends who had been participating in the group study looked shocked by the incident in front of them at this time.

The afternoon was so bright with the orange sky. Contrary to the mood of Nizar shrouded by fog. After being rushed to the hospital, Supiah's life and the child she contained could not be helped anymore. He's had heavy bleeding. In the afternoon Supiah and the child she contained were buried in a burrow. Supiah and her child were buried in a public cemetery on Prince's street.

"Bang Nizar don't be sad" Fahri entertained. Nurpiah quickly dragged her son away from Nizar.

"Don't get near him" Nurpiah said in a whispering tone as he lowered his head towards Fahri.

"Don't be like that Deck, let it go, after all the atmosphere like now Nizar does need to be entertained for his mother's departure."

Time has also returned. No one can stop him. After a long struggle in the field of development, Rustam developed its business wings. He opened a travel agency business whose office is located on the Jawi River. He also moved his development office which was originally at his home to the Kota Baru area. Both efforts continue to make significant progress.

Rustam saw the reflection of his face in the mirror. Both of his efforts were indeed advanced but his age continued to decrease. The figure in the mirror was no longer young. Both of his children are now adults. Fahri has been sitting in the tenth grade at 5 Pontianak State High School which is the only public public school in the district of North Pontianak. While Nizar continued his education to UPB. He majored in Management at the Faculty of Economics. Currently Nizar is in the last semester and is planning to compile a thesis.

Rustam felt the left chest that suddenly a little pain.

"What's Bang, Brother's heart hurts again?" ask Nurpiah who went into the room without Rustam noticing.

"Not really Dek" said Rustam lying so that Nurpiah would not be worried. One month ago he felt pain in his left chest. After being examined by a doctor, he was diagnosed with heart disease.

"Breakfast then bang."

"Which kids?" rustam asked after he arrived at the dinner table.

"Fahri had gone to school earlier," Nurpiah poured hot tea from a ceramic kettle into a ceramic cup.

"How many stone horns are Bang?"

"One of them."

"Oh yeah, Nizar took off to campus?"

Rustam can catch a glimpse of the change in Nurpiah's face.

"Dec, what's wrong with you?"

"Ah, not really bang."

***

Fahri and Nizar can only be glued, staring at the figure of their father who is now stretched rigidly shrouded in a rags. Nurpiah contacted them, informing them that their father had a sudden heart attack at breakfast. He was taken to the hospital, but his father's life could not be helped.

A week later after Rustam was buried.

"What are you doing?" asked Nurpiah with a face she didn't like. Tonight he and Fahri are in their house. Nizar himself no longer lives in this house. After getting a job as a cleaning service at one of the luxury hotels in Jalan Gajah Mada. Nizar decided to live independently by spending around the area of Juju close to the campus.

"What does Mak mean?"

"You changed your father's will and gave the travel agency business to Nizar."

Fahri, after receiving a will from his father felt a little disappointed because his father bequeathed all his business from the development and travel agency to him. All of that will be obtained later after he completes his education. For a while the development business owned by his father was held by Mr. Gunawan. Mr. Gunawan he is a friend of his father's time in college and his father's confidant. While the services of the travel agency held for a while by Nurpiah.

Through a lawyer Fahri changes his father's will. The business of the travel agency then fell into the hands of Nizar.

"Mom, that Bang Nizar is also my brother even though I and Bang Nizar are other mothers."

"But Nizar already has a job you know it's cleaning service."

"I want what is appropriate for Bang Nizar even though it does not mean that working as a cleaning service is despicable, but I do not want to be greedy to control all of your property, I can't stop both of them anyway."

Fahri recalls the incident a month ago. He saw the door of Nizar's room slightly open to make a reproach. He could see inside Nizar's room sitting on the edge of the bed. Next to Nizar was a large bag of clothes. Which makes him wonder Nizar seemed to cry while holding a book covered in chocolate.

Shocked Nizar when Fahri suddenly went into his room. Quickly Nizar wiped the tears that had dripped on the cheek.

"Abang cried," Fahri's whole life only knew his brother was crying like this at Supiah's funeral. He sat down beside Nizar.

"Sir, just a flick of dust earlier," Nizar lied as he pulled the nightstand drawer beside him, putting the brown book into the drawer. Then close that drawer.

"That's the book what Bang?"

"Just a regular book about my college records." Nizar said but Fahri knew his brother was lying to him at this time. After all, there are people who cry while holding a lecture notebook like that.

"Well, why did you have to move out of this house?"

"Consider already said that time, this brother just wants to be independent."

"This house will feel lonely if there is no brother."

"Every Sunday or holiday Insha Allah Brother must be here."

Three days later Nizar moved into his hostel. What Nizar doesn't know is that Fahri secretly entered his room three days ago, opened the nightstand drawer, picked up the brown-coated book and read the contents. At that time Nizar had to go to his nursery lecturer's house in the Batu Layang area.

Fahri actually cried while reading a book that turned out to be Supiah's diary. In it is written the outpouring of Supiah who was so hurt because of being betrayed by her husband by having an affair with her mother and her mother and father were married. Even worse when the second pregnancy the husband does not care about him. But Supiah remained airy to accept her husband's treatment.

Fahri then promised himself that if he had a wife later he would not follow in his father's footsteps to polygamy. But who knows the future because as told at the beginning Fahri seems to have to break the promise.
