Ex-Chapter 18: A star that shines in the darkness

Nevada is a place where there should be living things and beautiful cities, but just like when Yuri and Charlotte were already in Nevada everything was destroyed.

Yuri's heart breaks as she remembers her youngest child, Wolfram. Her heart was pounding hoping that her son would still survive this massacre, maybe Wolfram was not here and nurtured by Grace, but considering that their world was being slaughtered, Yuri felt uneasy.

Until finally his anxiety broke when he heard a voice that was not foreign to him. At first Yuri thought it was her hallucination, but not so. The reality is that Charlotte also heard this and she guessed that her voice was on one of the big stones that looked like a mini cave.

Grace remembers the brutal incident and panics and takes Wolfram to Nevada.

Hearing Grace's story, Yuri could only fall silent. He feels the sadness of Grace and Wolfram is the only person he can bring. Yuri then patted Grace on the shoulder three times and she stood up, walking towards Wolfram who was lying peacefully while stomping her feet forward while babbling.

Yuri then placed her sword beside him and started to lift Wolfram up and kissed his son's cheek lovingly. Yuri then gives milk to Wolfram who looks thirsty, Yuri is grateful Wolfram is fine.

The ground was shaking and Yuri stopped to give Wolfram milk and tidied himself up, he took a long cloth nearby and slightly tore the cloth, wrapped it around Yuri's waist,make a small sling with her body as her crutch and ask Charlotte for help to put Wolfram behind Yuri's back which is ready as a sling.

Charlotte nodded and quickly put down Wolfram as Yuri said.

"Ahh, namuh sti emit ot llik."

A big sound was heard, a big and heavy sound like a rumble, not only that, a huge shadow appeared and covered the sunlight and this place looked very dark.

"He's right here... That's him, your majesty." With fear, Grace

Yuri looked up, the brown giant monster was staring at them. Yuri casts an anti-shake spell on the cloth that was used as Wolfram's sling and he also gives an invisible shield to keep Wolfram safe.

After that Yuri took out the sword which was granted heavenly general, each core of the sword opened showing its identity a golden yellow aura came out and the sky darkened together by the sound of thunder.

Lightning began to strike brutally at the monster until finally, when Yuri opened the sword from the sword sheath completely, a huge surge of lightning energy emerged from the sky and created a huge explosion as it hit the giant monster.

"Charlotte..!! now!. " Yuri Seru.

Charlotte nodded and then she changed the shape of her weapon into a sword that has the elements of ice, lightning and of course one of Charlotte's new powers, void.

With lightning speed, Charlotte shot herself close to the huge monster and she slashed several times relying on its speed.

As if motivated by her mother upon seeing her mother use her powers, Charlotte begins to move agilely but brutally at the same time, no matter how many times Charlotte's stab and slash made the body part of the monster she was attacking freeze and an empty ball appeared on it. Like a magnet, the void of the sphere continued to absorb the Monster.

Charlotte looked at her mother, Yuri was already gathering energy for the ultimate attack. Charlotte also gave some distance while blowing up the ball with a flick of her finger which caused the monster's body to pause for a moment. At that moment, Yuri made use of this, she slightly thrust her sword back before pulling it forward.

Yuri exclaimed, he unsheathed his sword with all his might, a sword hunch that produced waves of elemental energy that shot out and crushed the monster's body to ashes.
