The gray sky faded. The full moon shone, spreading a faint silvery radiance throughout the quiet forest. From the crystal-clear lake, one could hear the sound of raucous toads. Fireflies danced throughout the forest. The scene was like a fantasy from a children's fairy tale.
This place was the Moonlight Forest, also known as the 'Eternal Rest Land' by players.
The moment Shi Feng arrived at this place, the first thing he did was to take out an Isolation Scroll. Immediately, he activated the magic that was inside the scroll.
The dazzling magical runes inscribed on the scroll rushed out, and Shi Fengs body suddenly became blurry. If looking at it from a distance, it was extremely difficult to notice Shi Fengs existence.
Each Insulation Scroll cost 40 Copper Coins. That was practically the wealth of an entire average player.
Despite its high price, its influence is remarkable. The Isolation Scroll can greatly reduce the player's sense of presence, making it difficult for enemies around him to find them. The scroll had a duration of half an hour, and it was a must-have tool when exploring dangerous areas.
Although it was not as effective as Stealth Assassin, it was better than nothing for Jobs who did not possess Stealth.
When the Isolation Scroll was used, within a 30-yard radius, players would not be easily found by Ordinary Monsters below Level 15. Unless, of course, said player was looking to die and attack that monster.
Following which, Shi Feng infiltrated the forest. He headed to the middle area of the Moonlight Forest to search for the Moon Stone, wanting to dispel the curse of hatred even a little faster.
The Moonlight Forest was a Level 9 monster area. Its location was not in Star-Moon Kingdom, but an isolated space. Each City had a Teleportation Gate that was directed to the Moonlight Forest. In Shi Fengs previous life, over 90% of the Level 9 players in Gods Domain would grind to obtain treasures here. However, even if a player was already Level 10, that place would still slaughter them. That was because the monsters here usually stayed in groups of three to five, and they had strong skills. A single misstep can lead to a party-erasing. Even so, the players would still survive, rushing towards their deaths over and over again as if they were possessed. As a result of constant death, the Moonlight Forest was referred to by others as the Eternal Land of Rest.
Meanwhile, the reason these players survived to a certain degree was because the monsters here dropped the Gemstones. What's more, the drop rate is relatively high. The number of Treasure Chests here was also high. As long as one found the Treasure Chest, there was an 80% chance of obtaining the Gemstone.
The gemstone is extremely valuable within the realm of the Gods. The reason being, they were able to increase the Attributes of the equipment. Depending on the color of the Gemstones, their Attributes increased also differently: red increased Strength, yellow Agility increased, blue Enhanced Endurance, purple increased Intelligence, and Green Vitality increased. Tier 1 Gemstones can increase Attributes by as much as 2 points. However, this amount should not be underestimated. A piece of Bronze Equipment could have one Gemstone embedded into it, while a piece of Mysterious-Iron Equipment could have two Gemstones inside. If every piece of equipment the player wore was equipped with a Gemstone, the amount of Attributes accumulated would be extremely frightening.
That's why the demand for Gemstones is huge. The price of Gemstones would always remain high, causing many players to take great risks of farming Gemstones in the Moonlight Forest.
Moreover, there were various resources such as ores, herbs, rare foodstuffs, and so on in the Moonlight Forest. However, the most famous part about the Moonlight Forest was the fifty-man Dungeon, the "Sleeping Fortress," that lived there. Dungeon was also a location to exchange Card Sets. However, only after the Dungeon was cleared by a team were players from the same Area allowed into the Dungeon to exchange their Card Sets.
However, Shi Fengs current goal was not the Card Set, but the Moon Stone. Moon rocks can only be found in the core area of the Moonlight Forest. Merely, Shi Feng could not help but be cautious while taking action. Not mentioning the extreme danger found in the Moonlight Forest, Shi Feng was only Level 3 right now, and he entered the Level 9 monster area.
If he were to die by accident, then the 200,000 EXP he collected would be useless, and he would have to start collecting it again. He had yet to reach Level 10, so he could not activate the Teleportation Gate found in the City. If he were to die, the only option would be to return to Red Leaf Town; if he wanted to return to this place, his only option would be to gather the necessary experience.
Right now, Shi Feng was far behind the leading experts on levels. It would be an absolute nightmare if Shi Feng died once and had to accumulate another 200,000 EXP.
Right after entering the forest, Shi Feng could see a Tier 9 Shadow Shadow hiding in a tree or in a bush, each preparing to attack their enemies. If not for the Isolation Scroll, Shi Feng would have long since been discovered.
Shi Feng was naturally not an opponent for Level 9 monsters, so he could only avoid them. Moreover, his goal here was not to kill monsters, and moreover, there was no need for him to fight with Shadow Leopards.
Shi Feng carefully circled the Shadow Leopards, one after another. After spending over an hour to do so, he arrived at a vast and towering forest made of stone.
In this stone forest there was a group of battle maniacs called Mountain Beast Fighters. They were a group of tenacious warriors who were not afraid of suffering. The thing they love the most is to fight, and the fiercer, the better. At the same time, they were also guarding a large pile of treasures, and among those treasures was the rarely seen Moonstone.
However, the entire stone forest was filled with these armored giant creatures. Holding a two-man thorny cane, these creatures patrol the stone forest, preventing anyone from entering. If Shi Feng set foot in the stone forest, there was a 100% chance for him to be found. At that moment, a group of Mountain Beast Fighters would come rushing over, and the swings from each of the spiked clubs would easily turn Shi Feng into meat paste.

“It looks like I can only clear the way slowly.” After searching for half a day, Shi Feng still could not find a safe way to penetrate the heart of the forest. The only option was to kill the way there.
Shi Feng could not help but admit that the difficulty of the Epic Quest was indeed very difficult. This was only the beginning, yet he was already required to face off against a Level 9 Mountain Beast Fighter. He had no idea what kind of challenge he would encounter further down the line.
Fortunately, he was very familiar with the terrain of the Moonlight Forest. He knew many methods to deal with the Beast Warrior before him.
The Mountain Beast Fighters were extremely powerful, and their attacks were unusual. Even Shield Warriors and Guardian Knights of the same level could not take more than a few hits from them. However, their bodies were extremely large, resulting in their relatively slow Movement Speed. In Shi Fengs previous life, there were many Elementalists who used Frost Arrow to reduce their speed. They then made use of the unique terrain of the stone forest to evade the attacks from the thorny club, kiting and killing the Mountain Beast Fighters.
After that, this stone forest became a sacred ground for long-distance players. Mountain Beast Fighters can be seen being tried through various means throughout the stone forest.
Although Shi Feng did not possess any speed reduction skills, he could use other methods to augment them. As for the Mountain Beast Fighter kiting, he possessed a rare skill, Defensive Blade [1], which could increase his attack range by quite a lot. Shi Feng did not believe that a Sword King expert, like himself, could not defeat a Level 10 Elementalist about utilizing the terrain to dodge attacks.
After observing the terrain properly, Shi Feng ran the simulation exercise in his mind five times.
Performing mental simulations will have tremendous effects during the actual operation. Therefore, each expert will often perform a mental simulation of the operation before actually taking action.
The reason why experts were experts, was because the preparations they made were far greater than others.
There were often many ordinary players who would admire experts in Gods Domain. They would lament as their own skills became poor, determining that they would never be able to reach the level of these experts. But in reality, they had no idea how much effort these experts were putting in each day. The suffering these experts experienced every day far exceeded the average player. That was the reason why they could shine brilliantly.
After running the simulation, Shi Feng took out a Black Steel Beer and a Speed Scroll.
Black Steel Beer could reduce monster levels by as much as 2. Other than the Attributes of the Abyssal Blade, Shi Feng would not be depressed due to the level difference, even when facing a Level 9 monster. He will be able to deal damage normally. As for the Speed Scroll, each one cost 25 Copper Coins. This increases the user's Movement Speed by 25% for 10 minutes. These scrolls were things that saved lives while in the wilderness. Shi Feng bought a total of twenty of them just for such an opportunity.
If the average player learned this, they would definitely curse Shi Feng as a spender. Such items would only be used when one was in a life or death crisis. Meanwhile, Shi Feng used it to kill ordinary monsters. That's too wasteful.
If Shi Feng were not cursed, he could easily kite this monster, just based on its Attributes. However, his Attributes were now reduced by 50%. The suppression was too great, so it was safer to use Speed Scroll.
If Shi Feng messed things up, it was not just a matter of losing levels. He would also dispose of 200,000 EXP.
Shi Feng took a deep breath, relaxing his body as he looked towards the nearest Mountain Beast Fighter. Following which, both of his legs exploded with force, rushing towards the Mountain Beast Fighter.
