~Mayan Conditions....
###
Tonight is supposed to be the night of Love's birthday celebration. Where exactly on this date Amara met her little angel. Yes, from that day on, Amara decided to make the date as the date of birth of Love.
Every year, Amara always celebrates this day simply, and gives a surprise to Kasih. However, it is different from previous years. This year, Amara could not celebrate because of the condition of the baby, who was struggling in a sickle bed after undergoing spinal cord transplant surgery.
Love is still asleep under the influence of drugs. Amara could only stare at him without being able to do anything. His daughter was lying with various medical devices attached to almost the entire body. Which mother would have if presented with a heartbreaking sight like this.
The boy who is usually cheerful and full of laughter, now can only surrender in control of these tools. All the pain there is certainly very painful. Without even saying Love, Amara could feel it. Before, entering the operating room, Kasih was frightened and asked him to accompany her inside. However, doctors forbid it, because only the medical team is allowed there.
"Rba..." The touch of Galang's hand distracted Amara. The man had just walked into the treatment room, with sterile clothes attached to his body.
"Buck...." Amara glanced back, then looked back at Kasih who was asleep in the patient's bed.
Galang embraces the wife who some days is really shaken. Amara did not stop crying after knowing other facts of the condition of Love. He had even tried various ways to make the woman to not dissolve in her sadness. However, Amara still could not feel calm and even more sad.
"Let's get out, Ra. You were here from now. You haven't eaten since last night either, honey. If you are sick, how? You can not take care of Love," said Galang trying to seduce the wife who is very difficult to eat since yesterday.
Galang was afraid, that Amara would even follow the drop and get sick.
"I can eat, Mom. Look at my son in this condition. My appetite is gone. I just want to be on the deck of Kasih, that's all" said Amara in a hoarse voice. Hunger he did not heed at all, defeated with anxiety at the thought of Love.
Amara's answer was responded to a long speech by Galang. He could understand Amara's current feelings. However, Galang also could not let the woman he loved was constantly drowning in grief. And neglects his own health.
"Honey, this once, you've beaten me. This is all for your good too. If you are healthy, you can continue to be beside Kasih to take care of him," said Galang still trying to explain it with a soft word. Not even a little to make Amara's heart offended and think if he was pressing her.
Then, Amara was stunned for a moment. Digesting the words of the husband with a branched mind. If only, Amara still ignored the advice of Galang and kekeuh no eating. Maybe he'll get sick. And, can't keep your love for 24 hours. Then, Amara was forced to obey Galang's orders to eat, at least he had the energy to keep Love.
"Alright, Mas. I'll eat" Amara finally breaks, as she grabs Galang's hand to hold. "Mas, you haven't eaten yet, have you?" He knew that, because Galang had never left him alone since last night.
A smile on Galang's lips, even though half of his face was covered with a mask. Seemed from both of his sweets are squinting.
"Where can you eat? If the wife did not eat," said Galang who then led Amara to get out of the room.
"It shouldn't be that way, Mas," she looked as if Amara was squinting at her husband. They are now outside the nursery room.
Galang opened the mask and headgear, he chuckled anxiously at Amara's reaction. "Why can't you? Evidence could?" he said while helping Amara remove the mask and head covering. "Come, let's go to the dressing room first. Only then do we go to the hospital canteen."
Amara obeyed Galang's orders. This is all for the good of both of them. He was not eating, all because of him. So Amara decided to stop going on hunger strike. She was not that hard, leaving her husband starving because of his ridiculous actions.
_
"Udah, Mas, enough. I'm already full" said Amara, covering her mouth with her palm. His stomach was completely full, and he could no longer chew the leftover food on the plate.
Galang pulled his hand, then put a spoon containing food that had been held in the air to the plate. "Are you really full?" ask her, then take a glass filled with orange juice from the table, and give it to the nodding Amara.
"Really." Amara received her order orange juice, then drank it slowly. "Now it's your turn to eat, Mom. Your food is cold, because you're busy feeding me." She placed the glass on the table and pointed to her husband's order, which had not been touched at all.
"Yes, it's a meal." Galang also took a spoon and began to eat his food. It doesn't matter if the food is cold, as long as he makes sure Amara eats properly.
Seeing the husband eating quietly and without any objection at all, made Amara shake her head. "Sorry, Mas. Because of me, Mas so sluggish," he said feeling bad himself.
"What, the hell, Ra? I don't have to think about it" looks Galang, who is busy chewing his food. "It's important that you eat now. It's calm, that's it."
Smile on Amara's little lips. What happens, if there is no Galang on his side. The man stood by him tirelessly.
"Mommy and Papi, where are you going? How come I haven't seen them since?" Amara suddenly recalled her two in-laws who had not been seen since Kasih had finished surgery.
"Mami's with Papi in Maya's room." Galang answered while wiping both corners of his lips with a tissue. He just finished his meal.
"In Maya's room? Why?" Amara gave a glass of warm tea to Galang.
"No Maya doesn't want to be left behind. She's scared." Drink it slowly, then put it on the table again. "It's possible he hasn't shown any signs of healing, Ra. My brother hasn't done anything yet."
Amara nodded in understanding with the condition of her sister-in-law. It is not easy to cure a person psychologically. It takes time and patience to restore the condition as it was. Moreover, the brother of Galang seemed to hate Kasih so much, and had wanted to eliminate his own daughter's life.
"Come, Ra. I'm done. We're going to Maya's room, okay?" Galang moved, then reached out to Amara.
Amara looked up, gave a small nod, then returned the hand of the husband. He stood up and picked up the sling bag he had placed next to him. "Come, Mas. I also want to see Kak Maya."
The two left the hospital cafeteria and headed straight for the room where Maya was being treated.
