Chapter 33
Arriving at the city gate, Huang had been waiting for Shin's arrival. Huang went straight into the line again knowing they were leaving. Shin who saw Huang had entered the line immediately went forward followed by his troops.
His army is lined up neatly. Shin lost 15 thousand troops during this 3-day war. He felt that he was still lacking in leadership because many of his troops were dead. On the way Shin could only daydream about his flaws.
In war, strategy is important. Especially for someone with the rank of General, they have to think about it carefully because they have a very big responsibility. Different stories if the General is the type of instinct that directly hunts with all his troops. The average general like this has a slightly greater strength than the General who uses strategy.
Shin was a strategy type but he also strengthened his strength so as not to be overwhelmed when fighting against an instinct-type General who had a slightly greater strength than him.
On the way, Shin and his troops drove slowly while replenishing his depleted strength and stamina. He also did not want to be the only person who arrived first to the capital.
…
In the royal capital of Yan, messengers have reported all the events that have occurred in various cities that have been attacked and are now on their way to the capital.
The superiors in Yan kingdom decided to wait for the enemy troops outside the gate. They were worried about the people inside the fort. They intend to hold their enemy outside in the vast field.
Now the troops of the Yan kingdom are running in a hurry to go outside the gate to prepare for the arrival of his enemy. The superiors also told their citizens to leave the capital, but they forced the men to want their children or parents to stay in the city. The bosses thought about all the possibilities.
The enemy forces only needed time to prepare. The large number of troops made them a little slow to prepare because of the gate that could not be directly entered by thousands of people.
45 Minutes later, though,
The enemy troops are now preparing in an empty field with a number of 200 thousand troops including the troops on top of the fortress. The general of the Yan kingdom only had 2 more Generals, the other 3 Generals were killed by Shin all.
Now each General must lead 100 thousand troops, which is a great responsibility.
The color of the sky begins to yellow, the sun begins to set which indicates that the afternoon will end and enter the night. Shin's army and the other generals have not arrived yet. The Yan royal troops who saw the situation now felt very disappointed because of the long arrival of the enemy troops.
…
On the way Shin and his army had arrived, only Shin chose not to appear.
Fortunately, the road that Shin took was a lot of trees that were large and high so they could hide. Shin also ordered his troops to rest because the battle will be carried out tomorrow.
The other generals who did not know that Shin and his troops had come directly into the empty field. They are now facing the enemy.
The other generals ordered their troops to put up tents to rest.
Late at night, I guess at 11 p.m. Shin accompanied his two younger siblings to the General's tent.
He intends to discuss the plans that will be carried out tomorrow. Upon arriving near the tent, the troops were shocked by Shin's arrival from behind, they thought it was an enemy intent on killing silently.
Shin explained to the guards that he only wanted to discuss the plan. Discussion of the plan is a natural thing when the war occurred let alone involve many of the highest leaders in the field.
It was done so that everything runs smoothly. Sometimes there are generals who want to show their prowess and their troops usually choose to attack at the beginning.
Of the other 4 generals, they now only have an army of 40 thousand each. Shin who heard that still felt relieved due to the considerable amount.
190 Thousand troops of Ming kingdom will fight 200 thousand troops of Yan kingdom. A fairly normal number for both armies if including a major war. Usually for a large and very powerful government they will bring down all their troops which are estimated to amount to 500 thousand more troops.
Inside the tent, Shin had already started discussing with the other 4 Generals. They also decide who will give the opening attack. Here Shin did not want to act much, Shin wanted to assess the opponent's abilities first. He decided to have another general act as the opening act.
The number of plans in the discussion made them forget that time was early.
They can't rest enough. But since the generals in the tent were old men, they were not worried either because the troops were about to plunge into the field, they just gave orders and arranged.
Shin who came out of the tent saw his two younger siblings still faithfully waiting.
“Let's back!” said Shin brought his two sisters back to tent. Shin Kasian to his two younger siblings. It did not take long for Shin to arrive at the tent belonging to his troops. He saw his soldiers who were soundly asleep from exhaustion.
“Rest with ease!” said Shin slowly.
He then entered his own tent and parted with the two of them. Shin began to close his eyes trying to sleep even if only briefly but better.
…
“Back up!” said Duan who went straight to Shin's tent because he had shouted from earlier but there was no answer.
“Kakk!!” he shouted near Shin's ears. Shin who heard that immediately woke up and stood up. Duan explained to his brother that he did not wake up even though he had been summoned from earlier. Shin was exhausted by the long war. He also doesn't know when it's over.
Shin who had reused his armor came out of his tent and was greeted by his neat troops. He shows his index finger in the front direction which means forward. The troops who understood also immediately advanced to the front with a neat.
Most of the front troops were soldiers who did not wear horses. They were an army carrying weapons and shields.
For the second layer are cavalry troops supported from behind by archery troops.
The squad consisted of 5 large ranks led by their respective captains. Shin lost 3 of his captains in previous wars. The captain was a captain who led the front row. But seeing there are still some captains, he is not desperate and still feels calm. It took 10 minutes to
Shin and his troops entered the empty field.
