Challenge races can be considered as a testing ground for player abilities. After a player entered the trial field, all of their Attributes would be fixed at 10 points, their skills disabled, and their equipment rendered useless. In a field 30 yards long and 10 yards wide, players were only allowed to block or avoid incoming shots from a Gnome rifle. The win will happen after the player arrives at the end point.
The Gnomes gave three levels of challenge: Copper Prize, Silver Prize, and Gold Prize. Once the challenge is over, there will be a three-day cooldown. There was a cost of 5 Copper for the Copper Prize, 5 Silver for the Silver Prize, and 5 Gold for the Gold Prize. Naturally, the higher the ranking of the challenge, the greater the reward. However, if players obtained the First Settlement for the challenge in Red Leaf Town, the reward of the Copper Prize might be comparable even to the Silver Prize.

“Guests, we have a new challenger on the field. Please allow us to welcome this brave Swordsman.” The gnome announced loudly.
“Bos Piercing Heart, the child who lent you money participated in the Challenge Race,” said the male Cleric.
Stabbing Heart who was resting while laughing said, “That child is just a beginner. Does he think the Challenge Race is so easy? Even though the distance is only 30 yards, the attack pattern of the Gnome will change once you pass 15 yards and their attack rate increases tremendously. Not to mention, even I have trouble facing them.”
