The Successor of the President

The Successor of the President
Episodes 18.

All members of Mahendra's family are having dinner together, including Hanna who finally decides not to say anything to Alden, she is afraid to make trouble later if it turns out Alden has not known about it.

Hanna kept her head down, she was enjoying her dinner a little nervously since David had been staring at her. Not only Hanna, Alden also realized that.

Alden put down his spoon and fork and looked at David coldly, "I noticed that you kept looking at my wife, what's wrong?"

Hanna was surprised and raised her head to look at Alden and David alternately. Adel and Cindy looked at David.

David immediately turned his eyes away from Hanna. He had no intention of answering Alden's question.

"Why silence? Don't tell me you're interested in my wife!" accuse Alden.

Hanna is confused, Alden's accusation proves that if she does not know David loves Raline, fortunately Hanna did not tell him earlier.

"Or don't you want to take it from me, like your mama who wants to take my papa's treasure," Alden continued.

David immediately looked at Alden sharply, his emotions began to be provoked by the accusations of his stepbrother. It should have been him who said so, Alden had taken Raline from him.

"Why are you looking at me like that? Not accept my accusation?"

David clenched his hand, he rose blood, "Originally you know, I ...."

"Enough!" cut off Cindy quickly before David continued his words, he did not want the son to tell Alden the truth.

Hanna and Adel just flinched seeing the three people staring at each other fiercely.

"Don't talk too much! Your wife is not my son type, she can't possibly be interested in an uncivilized woman like this!" cindy's murmur was upset, she also deliberately wanted to insult Raline.

David looked at Cindy, "Mama!"

Alden glared angrily, "Get me talking! Don't try to insult my wife, or I'll kick you out of this house!"

"Keep threatening me like that, I'm not afraid. Don't forget Alden Richard Mahendra, I'm your papa's legal wife, I have rights in this house, too" Cindy said.

"You and your son are just real people in this house, so don't act like hosts! I hope you're self-conscious and not power-mad!" curse Alden in flames.

"Shut up!" snapped David who could not hold back his emotions anymore.

"Oh, you've got the courage!" ridicule Alden, since long ago David did not fight let alone avenge every insults and insults that Alden hurled for himself and the mother. But this time he didn't want to be quiet.

"You think I'm afraid of you?" reply David.

"So good now?"

"I don't need to be great just to fight an arrogant human like you!"

"You!" alden's growling with hardened jaws.

"You're all quiet!" hanna snapped annoyed.

Everyone was surprised to hear Hanna yell at them, including Alden who already knew his wife's true nature. Hanna didn't want this fight to continue because she was sick of hearing it.

"Look! He had already dared to yell at the people in this house, how brazen!" Cindy sneered cynically.

Hanna looked at Cindy cynically, "What more insolent with people who are always noisy and quarreling at the dinner table? It's like there's no ethics!"

"That's it, you're making my appetite go away!" Hanna moved up and left the dining table just like that.

David only looked at Hanna's departure which he considered Raline confused, he couldn't believe the woman he knew so gently could snarl at others like this.

Alden got up and rushed after Hanna.

While Adel could only sigh in relief because the dispute had ended. He's used to all this, and prefers to be quiet even if he's upset with Cindy. Adel didn't like Cindy, but she never had a fight with her mom. Likewise with David, Adel never harassed him and vice versa.

An annoyed Hanna decided to go inside the room.

"Are all rich people like them? No ethics and no manners!" hanna grumbled while throwing her ass on a soft mattress.

Before long Alden went into the room and stood before Hanna with a sharp look.

"Why were you yelling at everyone, huh?"

"You are not ashamed! You should eat first, or at least let others eat quietly. After that it's up to you if you want to fight, until the murder is not a problem" said Hanna exasperated.

"But your attitude can make them suspicious if you're not Raline, because Raline was gentle and never rough! How many times do I have to warn you?" sumpul Alden's worried about Hanna.

"Raline again! Raline again! Just keep praising your ex that you think is perfect and the best in the universe!"

"She is good and perfect, so I fell in love with her" Alden said.

"If it's good, he won't leave you and hurt you, until it ruins your good name" Hanna replied in emotion.

Alden suddenly fell silent, his fierce face turned sad to hear the words of the curse of Hanna, at once his heart was like pricked when he remembered what Raline had done to him.

Realizing Alden's now-sadden face change, Hanna felt worried and a little guilty. Has he been too talkative?

"I'm going to sleep." Alden nodded and climbed onto the bed. His mood was getting damaged, his heart again felt pain due to the wounds that had been incised by the woman he loved so much.

Hanna was stunned, she turned to look at Alden who was already lying behind her.

"You're mad at me?" ask Hanna.

Alden shook his head without changing his position.

Hanna flinched along, looking at Alden's back with a guilty feeling. She should not be emotional and bring up what Raline did to her husband. He finally got into bed and slept next to Alden.

"Good night, Alden," said Hanna softly.

"Hem."

Hanna exhaled, she recalled David's words earlier this afternoon, did Raline decide Alden had something to do with David? But it doesn't seem, because David himself thinks Hanna is Raline, it means he doesn't know anything. What is David and Raline's relationship? Why doesn't David seem willing to marry Alden?

All those questions revolved around Hanna's head.

While Alden was still awake, Hanna's words seemed to make him realize that Raline was not as good as she said. Hanna was right, if Raline was good, she wouldn't have left Alden and hurt him, even to the point of ruining his good name. But it is undeniable, Alden's heart still loves Raline until sometimes she forgets what she has done to him.
