The King D's request to pray for the five spirits who were dying from turning gray, was immediately made by the descendants. It is because the souls of the spirits have been poisoned by demonic incitement. It's just that, since Vesper and his comrades were unwilling to turn into evil spirits and put up a fight, their bodies were gray. This is what causes their spirits to be trapped in another world. They are lost and confused to find their way home.
"Vesper," called someone who made the beautiful woman turn to the origin of the voice.
The place he is now is just darkness. Its body only emitted a faint light, but it was gray in color. Vesper could feel his soul raging like a person of confusion determining the direction. The woman did not know where to go in the empty room without a single edge without anyone she knew.
"Liana" called out a voice again, but it was more similar to her heart.
"Who is that?" asked Vesper with a frown because he found no one.
"I am you" replied the voice as the person whispered.
"What's going on? Where am I? Where are Jonathan and the others? Did ... I fail the duty of the Death?" asked Vesper.
"Okay, I don't know either. But I don't like this place. Too quiet. This is not peace" said Vesper's justified conscience.
"How do I get out of this place?" asked Vesper nervously while looking around.
"I don't know. It's just, this place is better than hell."
"Don't call that place again. I don't want to go back there" Vesper said shuddering in horror.
He recalled the moment his hand was cut off and his blood was allowed to continue dripping into the body accompanied by cries of pain. His tears dried up because of the heat of the fire-filled air like being roasted alive. His immortal spirit in hell is not allowed to die. As Vesper was dying, he was restored again to the same torment constantly as if endless. As if, his sins were incalculable.
"Yes, yeah! This place is better than hell. A thousand times better. Silence in solitude is best without the screams and whips of torment" Vesper replied with a body so violently shaken that he could not support his sudden legs.
Vesper collapsed on the cold black floor. Vesper hugged both knees with his body swaying back and forth and his face buried above the knees.
"Here is better, here is better" he said constantly as if there were no other words to say.
Slowly, there was a faint voice that made the woman's head lift. His eyes narrowed as he looked at the faint-looking shadow in front of him. Vesper sharpened his eyesight when a familiar figure appeared like a praying person because his two hands looked up.
"Lord. Forgive the sins of Vesper and others. You've had enough to torture them in hell since death. Let them complete their tasks and feel peace until the end. Listen to my prayer, Lord. I know that my sins are also countless, but .. Accept my prayers and forgive them as you love you your servants. Amen" said a little girl who was none other than Cora.
Vesper was moved and smiled widely. He did not expect that Eko's grandson would pray for him. Before long, another shadow appeared and the woman was Iris. The beautiful woman prayed. Vesper did not expect that he would be prayed for by his descendants like a promise. Their prayers reached him and Vesper could not cover his happiness.
"Thank you ... Thank you" Vesper said in tears.
As Vesper was wiping away his tears that kept dripping, suddenly the dark room glowed little by little. The movement of warm light reconciled the soul moving towards it from the passageway containing the prayers of the descendants. Vesper eyes widened and swiftly stood up. He was tense when he saw a long hallway with a bright light shining without dazzling. The long haired woman looked doubtful. The floor that had been cold as ice began to warm up. His body felt peaceful and the breeze was waving his scattered hair. Vesper laughed softly and galloped towards the direction the light somehow took him to where. Until finally ....
"Oh! Huh! Huh! Huh!"
"Oma! Oma! You're back!" shouted a man who made Vesper immediately turn his head.
He was stunned to see King D prostrate on the prayer mat with a roar of grief. The flustered Vesper saw his two hands that were still transparent, but white in color.
"Whoah! Huh!"
Vesper turned his head and found Tobias, Jonathan, Lucifer and Jordan floating beside him. The spirits looked at each other and smiled together. Jonathan swiftly embraced the mother, followed by other spirits who embraced each other.
"Do you feel what I feel?" ask Jordan to make sure.
"Looks so. Truly, a spiritual journey that is difficult to express" said Lucifer and is possessed by all spirits because it is true.
Vesper turned to King D, who was now sitting down as if he were praying because his eyes were closed, his head looking up with two hands. Vesper approached his grandson, followed by another spirit.
"Thank you, D. Say thank you to everyone" said Vesper, who opened King D's eyes slowly.
The man smiled with a nod. King D took a deep breath and tidied up his equipment. Jonathan looked proud of his brother's son who could help them from their heresy with the help of prayer.
"Master King D!" call someone suddenly from a distance. The man ran and came to King D with a sigh. "We found the missing parents. They're locked. But something is strange. They ... don't recognize us. In addition, their condition is as miserable as the undead" said the man who had removed the gas mask.
"Take me" he asked.
Vesper and the curious spirits follow King D to find out. Sure enough, there was a prison in that basement. The old men who were old with thin, dry bodies looked like undead. Yet, strangely. The iron bars are not padlocked, only closed. Vesper and the others approached to check on the poor people's condition.
"Vesper, watch. Their faces are crossed out with some sort of cet, but can fade if exposed to water or sweat. Looking at the pattern, it was formed using three fingers" Lucifer observed.
"He's right. Look at these people's fingers. There was a cet mark on their three fingers. The index finger, the middle finger and the ring finger" Jordan said pointing to the back of an old man's hand that raised his hand on the ground floor.
"Their mouth is always open, like .. a hot person. Their breaths are stingy. In addition, the view is uncertain. Then .. more interesting. Observe their clothes" Lucifer added, crouching in front of a thinly shaved gray old man.
"Really! It's the uniform of men who always make a troublemaker by killing innocent people!" jonathan's cry made King D squat in front of a man.
The condition of the old man was the most excellent among others because his eyeballs like being able to follow the movements of King D's head.
"Master, can you hear me?" The man nodded slowly. "What's going on? Why are you here?" king D began to interrogate.
"I. .. don't remember," he answered listlessly.
"D. Looking at the symptoms, could it be ...," Vesper said with a frown.
"The hallucinatory gas" replied King D, Jonathan, Jordan and Tobias together. Lucifer silently watched.
The King D, who was wearing trousers with many pockets, pulled out an iron box the size of a pocket from the right pocket. He took a small injection with a white liquid in the tube. He then stuck the syringe into the man's side of the neck. The young men who had come with him were surprised that King D was doing without cue.
"Ergh ..," the old man whispered and closed his eyes as if he were about to faint.
"Move them all. Get out of this godforsaken place. Keep an eye out and don't let strangers approach them. I'm afraid these witnesses were targeted and probably killed for leaking secrets" King D said.
Suddenly, the speech of Javier's son made the newly injected parents suddenly hold King D's arm with bulging eyes. The stunned spirits included the other healthy humans.
"Don't let them find us. Save us, son D," said the old man who apparently recognized the figure of King D.
King D's eyes sharpened then nodded slowly. The parents were immediately evacuated and taken to the settlement for treatment. King D continued the investigation to the end of the hallway where he never knew the intricacies of the building.
"D! The end of the passageway here penetrates into the river!" shouting Tobias.
"really?" king D answered and ran because Tobias and Lucifer flew first to find out.
While Jordan and Vesper, looking for clues in the hallway. Eko disappeared as soon as Vesper and others were rescued and unconscious. Sure enough, there was a river that was big enough to stretch as soon as King D came out of the end of the hallway covered with vines so that it was invisible. King D watched around with a serious face.
"This is the Siak River" he said confidently.
"D. You better focus here. Let us go hunt down the evil spirits. Those people need your help. Get your people to investigate this. A group of men in black uniforms should be arrested, interrogated and tried. Even though I don't know what the court system is like in this day and age" Vesper said as he exited the tunnel door.
"The court in this age is different, Oma, unlike the time you lived. And ... There's no butcher like Jordan's uncle, sorry," said King D clumsy, but Jordan just kept a flat face. His spirit form looked increasingly terrifying.
"Then, like what?" ask Lucifer as he approaches.
"I purposely let the people of Great Ruler find one of our masterpieces. Lie detectors combined with decapitated necklaces," said King D, who made the eyes of all spirits glare.
"Wow! So ... you mean ... there is a special necklace that has a sensor to detect someone's lie and .... if lying will immediately behead him? Got a knife out of that necklace circle?" ask Lucifer to imagine.
"Yes, that's it. However, they made modifications by making a new breed without a knife. That ... is too cruel" replied King D.
"Of course it's vile. Don't equate mafia executions with civilians. You are wrong" said Lucifer.
"Hoamp, boring," complained Tobias yawning while turning his face away. Jonathan chuckles. Lucifer chose to remain silent and refused to argue.
"Yes, D. You stay here with Junior. Pray for us to complete the task of the Death before the deadline so that it can help you uncover this tragedy" Jordan said.
"Thank you," replied King D with a nod.
"No, we're the ones who thank you. If there were no you and the descendants, maybe we would have settled down in hell by now" Vesper said, making King D smile.
"Alright, evil spirit capture team! We're back hunting! Yeah!" jonathan exclaimed in spirit, but the other spirits found him strange and silent. "Yeah, passion for me! Bye, D!" jonathan shouted as he flew over waving his hands.
"Be careful! If you get to Java, stop by Herlambang's house!" king D shouted and embraced all the spirits that were now flying into the sky.
