The Throne Of The Heart

The Throne Of The Heart
Section 41

“Grey, do you think .. do I need to see my real father?”

Greyson immediately got up from his seat of pride and approached Lashira. “If you want all this to be done soon, then I suggest yes ... you should meet him.”

“Then after meeting him, what should I do?” Lashira rests her head on Greyson's shoulder. The girl looked far away, wondering what she would do if she met her real father.

“Do what you want to do, I will always be by your side.”

Lashira looked up to see Greyson's face. “In your opinion, why did Brother Nobert come like this?”

“What answer do you want to hear?” ask Greyson back. Lashira's forehead frowned deeply as she completely did not understand what the man meant.

“Your father needs a kidney donor from you as soon as possible. Because it is impossible for his young son to donate his kidney. Here's what I'd say if you asked a Greyson Masson.”

Lashira remained silent. Everything Greyson said was not wrong, he thought the same thing the last few days. But on the other hand, he also hopes that his biological father really wants to meet him without the frills of the kidneys in his body.

“But he may feel sorry for what he did to you and would like to at least be able to meet and apologize to you in person before leaving. Maybe that's what Greyson would have said a dozen years ago.”

Lashira slightly moved away after hearing Greyson's words earlier. “What do you mean, Grey?”

“I have a meeting outside the company, you can have lunch first. David can accompany you to lunch if you don't want to eat alone.” Greyson looked at his watch for a while then kissed Lashira on the forehead before picking up his suit that was draped over the arm of the sofa.

Even until Greyson disappeared behind the door of this room, Lashira still fell silent thinking back on all the words the man had told her.

Drrt!

From, Sven :

I'm waiting at the cafe in front of Grey's company, old man wants to see you. Make sure Grey doesn't know this.

Lashira smiled faintly at the short message Severin had sent her.

***

Lashira's facial expression instantly turned flat upon seeing the arrival of Chris and Severin. I don't know what the old man wanted to talk to him about to the point of asking him to meet in secret in broad daylight like this.

“It's good to see you again Miss Wil-ah I mean Ardiansyah.” Chris smiled broadly to make Lashira even more fed up. Clearly the old man was mocking him earlier.

“Not to be pleasant, what do you want to talk about? If you ask me to leave Greyson again as before, then I will say once again that I will never leave him no matter what.”

Lashira's eyes glanced sharply at the loyal Severin standing behind Chris. Knowing the girl's interest in his men, Chris smiled faintly. “Why tense once? Order food because today I just want to have lunch with you while talking about light things.”

“Halo Old Grandpa!”

Severin and Chris turned in unison to see the appearance of David who was still wearing his school uniform. The man immediately sat down next to Lashira and threw his big smile at Chris.

Chris laughed a little. Some waiters showed up to bring some food and drinks. “You enjoy this food first, I'm sorry to come out for a minute.”

“Wah, Severin! You're doing your job so well, how can you arrange a meeting for Lashira and the old man without Greyson's knowledge? You better start deciding who you're going to be-”

“I remind you once again. I work entirely on Chris .. not Greyson,” cut Severin.

David nods his head at Severin's words, the man's attention now shifting to Lashira who is currently focusing on her phone screen. The boy instantly understood while peeking at the contents of the screen of Lashira's phone.

“You want to see him? Want me to drop off?” david's bargain made Severin also curious what the two saw until the brazen boy's tumbens offered him.

“Go,” cut Chris.

Lashira and David left immediately. “Why did you let them go? You haven't said anything to the girl.” Severin frowned confused by what Chris was doing at the moment.

Chris smiled slightly as he shook his head. “You know? If I told that girl earlier, then I would really be the most jerky old man of the century.”

“Not it true?” retali Severin, who is also owned by Chris.

“Looks like I'm going to let the girl to accompany the damn boy.”

Severin raised his brow in confusion, but this morning the old man in front of him had said all his rotten plans to separate Lashira and Greyson. So why now?

On the other side

Lashira and David's car stopped in front of the city's largest hospital. David turned his head towards the silent Lashira with a straight-forward look. “You-”

“In the meantime, I have to arrange myself first,” cut Lashira fast.

David scrunched his forehead deeply because he did not understand the meaning of Lashira's words.

“Ayo.” Lashira quickly clasped David's hand to come down with him. David was stunned before, even he was ready to open the car door next to him.

“Do I need to call Greyson?” david's bargain as Lashira's hand grips on her hand tighter at each step they enter the hospital.

Lashira shook her head slowly. “No need, there's you here.”

David just rolled his eyes lazily when he saw Lashira's extremely forced smile. David immediately followed Lashira's line of sight as the footsteps of the girl next to him came to a halt.

“Ma-”

Plaque!

Both of David's eyes were fiddled with shock, he immediately looked at the old woman before Lashira sharply. “You-”

Lashira squeezed David's hand to shut up. The girl looked up again to pay attention to the expression of the family who had thrown her and the mother. As her eyes met with Nobert's eyes which seemed to be unexpected as well, Lashira smiled obliquely.

“Basic child does not know himself! Your father is dying and wants to see you so badly, but you're acting so hot selling as if you're a very rare diamond.”

Both of Lashira's eyes looked straight at the omah. “Yes, I'm very valuable Omah. And I'm so grateful to you for dumping me and my mom out of this really disgusting family.”

“You-”

Lashira held back the hand of her scumbag who was about to slap her again. “Enough! If you also leave a wound on my face, all the members of this family will suffer the consequences.”

“You heard me say ‘kan, Brother Nobert?” lashira continued while staring at Nobert sharply.

David silently smiled slightly, he returned Lashira's hand in pride. “Kak Lashira is right, this family can stay a name if I open my mouth just a little about how you treated Lashira's sister earlier.”

“According to Brother Nobert's request, I will meet your son one last time. I will kindly accept his apology so that he can be calm in the afterlife.” Lashira threw out the hand of the omah who was still looking at her hatefully like before.

Lashira walked slowly towards Nobert's mother who was the younger sister of her biological father while David still clasped his hands tightly. “How are you, Auntie? It seems good because you and the others look so happy,” greet Lashira smiling sweetly.
