"You're home, Mom?"
"What are you doing here?" morgan asked rounding his eyeballs looking at Megan's face who was currently sitting leisurely in the living room.
"Waiting for you, what else? But, why was your secretary brought home? What besides working in the office, she also works at home?" megan asked looking intently at Sherli's face, also smiling with a grin.
"It's none of your business. You better go home now, Megan. Did you forget we were divorced? Or-"
"Or what? I just stopped by here for a minute. Did you forget that the day is the anniversary of our son's death? Or, you purposely forgot about it because it was too busy with this woman?"
Sherli of course felt stunned. He learns that Morgan has a son who has died. It's only fitting that he looks happy when he meets Dami's only son.
"Sorry, boss. I think I should go home now. I don't want to interrupt the memorial service of his son's death boss" said Sherli. Megan Queeni's eyes look sharp and clearly show that the woman is very unhappy with her presence there.
"It can't be like that, Sherli. You just arrived, time to go home just like that? We haven't even copied that."
"Oh so, in addition to being your secretary, he also became your coffee friend, Mas. That's great of you, Sherli. Not even divorced from your husband, uh your own boss, really amazing" Megan smiled.
"Be careful when you talk to Megan Queeni. Want him to be a friend coffee cake, a friend eating cake, or even a bedmate cake, not your business. I want you to go home right now!" Morgan began to lose patience.
"Mas Morgan, did you forget that Jacky died because of you? Did you forget your promise that he said he would make amends for your whole life, huh?"
"Jeez, Megan. Do not make me feel more ilfil same you yes, I beg you to go home right now. Do I need to call a complex security guard to expel you?"
Megan immediately rolled her eyes in annoyance. He felt sorry for saying all that. He should be more able to hold back and not be hard on Morgan. Megan rubbed her face rough, she grabbed her little bag and wrapped it around her left shoulder. After that, the woman actually came out of the house with a feeling of annoyance of course.
Megan stopped right in front of Sherli's body, looked at her sharply for a moment then resumed her footsteps. While Sherli did not return Megan's gaze at all, she simply turned her face away, even though she actually felt dislike for the woman's attitude towards her.
"I'm sorry for my ex-wife, Sher. He's always been like that. I'm also surprised because after 2 years of divorce, I think he's forgotten about me" said Morgan who actually felt bad about Megan's demeaning attitude.
"It's okay, boss. But still, I have to go home. I don't want-"
"Don't do it, accompany me to have a coffee for a while. Do you feel disturbed by my words?"
"Huh? Eu ... No ko, boss. It's not like that."
"Yes, you just sit down first, I'll ask auntie to make 2 cups of warm coffee for both of us."
Sherli just smiled a little. Inevitably, he who was originally just standing is now sitting in the living room chair with great force in fact.
"Bi ... Aunty!" Morgan shouted for his housekeeper, and not long after, the summoned one came and stood right in front of his master.
"Yes, sir," Aunt replied later.
"Please make 2 cups of warm coffee for your future great mistress. Oh yes, same with all the snacks."
"Okay, sir," Aunt answered obediently, and she walked back to make what the master had ordered.
"Is it not an exaggeration for the boss to call me the big lady candidate?" ask Sherli later.
"Why? You don't want to be Mrs Morgan's candidate? There are a lot of women out there who want that honorable title."
Sherli silently did not respond, for some reason her heart again felt flowery. Morgan is good at seducing women. Iva Sherli Jovanka, who incidentally is a woman of cold character, even had to show his dislike to his boss, seems to have begun to eat every flirtation of a Morgan.
"This is the coffee, sir," said Bibi kindly.
"Thank you, bi."
"Together, sir." Auntie went back to the back.
"Please drink Sher's coffee."
"Eu ... Sorry, boss. Actually I-" Sherli stared at the coffee mug that was still steaming giving off a small smoke.
"What actually? Just tell me not to hesitate."
"Actually, I don't like to drink coffee" Sherli said.
"Huh? Holy hooch! Why didn't you say that from earlier? Ahhaha!" Morgan laughed loudly.
"I'm sorry, I forgot the boss."
"Yes, I'll ask auntie to make you a cold drink."
Sherli just nodded her head. In fact, he himself felt confused why he did not say from the beginning that he did not like the caffeine-containing drinks at all. Her excessive nervousness due to Morgan's sweet demeanor really made the woman feel like she had forgotten the mainland.
Dret! Dret! Dret!
Sherli's cell phone instantly shook. He grabbed the phone from a medium-sized bag that is still on his lap, then picked up the phone later.
📞 "Hello, Ma'am? What's up?" ask Sherli.
📞 "Anu, mom. Dami-"
📞 "What's wrong with Dami?"
Morgan, who was actually about to leave the living room to ask aunt to make a new drink for her guests, immediately disengaged her intention and also stopped her footsteps now.
"Why are you, Sher?" ask Morgan was curious of course, but the question was ignored by Sherli because the woman was still focused on listening to the explanation of the baby sister who had been keeping Dami.
📞 "What? God, why did Dami fall down the stairs. Okay, I'll be home right now."
Both legs of Morgan immediately felt limp. His body suddenly trembled, the shadow when Jacky fell from the stairs to lose his life immediately filled his brain now. Tight, the chest of a Morgan also felt tight. He immediately walked over to Sherli and grabbed her rough wrist. Without further ado, Morgan pulled the woman's hand making Sherli instantly feel astonished of course.
"We have to take Dami to the hospital immediately, not to be late" Morgan said later. His face looked very worried.
