That morning Rangga came out of the palace dressed like an ordinary swordsman, without any royal appendage attached to him.
He spurred his horse quickly to the east because he wanted to know the state of the people there, because after becoming king he felt he had full responsibility for the prosperity and condition of his people.
The scorching heat of the sun does not make his spirit slack he feels like a free-flying bird that lives in the open without a separation wall like in the palace.
Rangga was really like a wanderer at that time, because if he slept on a tree or in a paddy field eating even potluck sometimes roasted cassava or chicken forest results of his hunting, that kind of life is what he really likes.
After a long journey he arrived in a village that is so densely populated, Jatisari village.
Jatisari is one of the villages that is a remote village that is rarely visited by royal officials because of its very difficult location and terrain ,if you want to go to Martapura it takes days or about five days by horse ride.
"It looks like I have to stop for a few days in this village" Rangga said in his heart
then he got down from his horse and walked on foot while looking at the state of the village .
he intended to head to one of the residents' houses to hitchhike but from the back he suddenly sounded loud and rough yelling at him.
"get aside..get aside.. Demang train wants to pass" said a guard rudely to Rangga because his horse blocked the road that will pass him, but Rangga did not budge and did not care about it.
"Hi.why are you deaf" said one guard angrily, then Rangga finally pulled over ,
"luckily my patience has not run out, if I have beaten you," said the bodyguard ferociously as he brandished his sword.
"There is a bodyguard "said the person in the carriage who was none other than a Demang.
"there is only a rug that disturbs our journey Ki Demang" replied the guard.
"Hurry up and get her done lest I be late to the house" Demang said.
"I've Ki Demang he's done" the guard replied.
After a while, Demang's party passed.
"You're okay Raden" asked a grandfather who arrived,
"i'm fine Kek" said Rangga with a smile,
"that's who Kek was" asked Rangga,
"it was Demang Karto den" replied the grandfather,
"is all his bodyguards Demang Karto that his person like that rough rough cake" asked Rangga.
"True den , besides being rude they are also cruel , what else with the villagers who are late in paying taxes and the end of this tax is getting higher " replied the grandfather .
"Have anyone ever reported their actions to the kingdom of cake," asked Rangga.
"No one dares to be afraid" replied the grandfather.
"then if there was ever a party of the kingdom of Martapura who ever reviewed here the kekke" asked Rangga, who,
"Have never been, even though this village is far away but the Dungga king has not forgotten us" said the grandfather, Rangga just nodded his nod when he heard it .
"How is Demang Karto's treatment of the villagers kek, is like what I experienced kek" he asked Rangga to know for sure and clearly.
"It can go even further than that" replied the grandfather.
"Then I have to investigate this matter I will teach Demang a lesson" Rangga said in his heart.
"like this Raden is a distant man ? "asked grandpa, though,
"i really am a traveler who happens to pass by here cake" answered Rangga lying.
"Well the cake sorry in advance if troublesome," replied Rangga.
"Don't worry so young" said the grandfather.
Then Rangga followed the grandfather to his house .
Not long after that there was a hut with a thatch roof with a state of attention, that was the grandfather's house.
Rangga was really astonished to see that, he felt guilty seeing the people in such a state.
"We have arrived and let's go in" said the grandfather, and we have arrived" repeated the grandfather.
"ba.. well.kek" answered Rangga nervously because he was so surprised.
"Grandma please prepare a drink there is a guest" said the grandfather, telling his wife.
"Yes cake" replied the grandmother from the inside.
"If I may know who this Raden is and where to go" asked the grandfather,
"My name is Rangga kek", he replied,
"i am just a traveler who follows where the steps go to the cake "answer Rangga explained.
A moment later came the grandmother from inside with a drink and boiled ketela that was still hot
"this is the cake" said the grandmother, putting her in front of the grandfather ,
"please drink, son of Rangga," said the grandfather,
"thank you cake" replied Rangga.
"Sorry kek, if it is not troublesome I want to stay here maybe two or three days" said Rangga.
"Oh of course it's okay Rangga son I was happy, because there were friends chatting coincidence we were just two in this house" replied the grandfather explained.
After a long talk with Rangga's grandfather was willing to come out for a while, Rangga intended to see the life in the village.
Rangga was angry with Demang Karto's arbitrary actions, so he decided to go to his house and would teach him a lesson
By riding his horse, Rangga arrived in front of Demang Karto's house,
"who are you and what do you want?"ask a guard.
"I want to meet Demang Karto," replied Rangga, by stepping into the house ,
"hi stopped!!!, cried the guard earlier, but regardless of the words of the guard Rangga continued to step in, the guard immediately attacked from behind ,knowing from behind someone attacked him, Rangga turned his body and kicked the attacker to bounce dozens of spears and the attacker was lying down not knowing his fate was alive or not.
Soon a number of other bodyguards arrived with swords drawn in his hands,
"who do you dare to make a fuss here, then,?" ask one of the newly arrived guards,
"i just want to meet with your Demang, if you want to fate the same as your friend please block me," said Rangga threatening.
Finally, the guards let Rangga go inside because they did not want to suffer the same fate as his friend.
Then from the inside came the other guards "who do you dare to enter carelessly ?"ask the guard.
"I just want to meet Demang Karto," replied Rangga coldly.
