Plaaq!! A hard slap landed on the face of a girl named Eliana Bowie. The loud slap he got as a result of the words he said himself.
Eliana Bowie, a twenty-two-year-old girl struggling to raise money for her mother's hospital fees that she has not paid for a week. Her mother lay sick due to the end-stage cancer she suffered and because of that made Eliana had to be looking for money.
They have nothing left, so Eliana has no other choice. Today Eliana ventured to her married father again to ask for her mother's medical expenses. He hoped his father would help but a hard slap he got in the face.
Eliana held onto her hot face, eyes also staring at the father with a look of anger. He came to speak well with his father but also the words that his father should not say were actually spoken by his father so as to make Eliana hurt.
"I told you, just let your mother die!" his father said without feeling.
"Why don't you just die?" it was because of his words that he was slapped by his father.
"Shut your mouth, Eliana. What slap did I give you less?" shouted his father loudly.
"You're the one who's supposed to keep your mouth shut, Dad. You've never fulfilled your obligations as my father, you've never given me a living but for so long after you and Mommy separated, it's the first time I've asked for your help, but you've just cursed Mommy to die. Why do you have to say that word?" eliana said while crying sobbing.
"You're a big boy, I don't have to make a living anymore. Your mother is also not my responsibility so leave, I won't help you at all!"
"No, Dad. Please, loan me money. I will definitely give it back to you" Eliana said.
"Reverting? What are you going to return the money with, Eliana? With your meager salary, do you think you can give it back?" his father's wife sneered.
"Silence, Aunty. I'm not asking for help from you!" eliana was upset.
"Take care of your words, Eliana. You're so disrespectful!" shouted his father loudly.
"Dad, I didn't come here to fight with you. I want to ask for your help so help me, Dad. I promised to give her the money back" Eliana still persuaded her father and wished him to change his mind and help.
"No, go. Even if you kneel down and beg under my feet, I won't help you!" said father.
"Please, Dad. Only you can help me!" shouted Eliana.
"Go, Eliana. Otherwise I will order someone to pull you away!" his father shouted angry.
Tears flowed profusely, a paper he had brought to show his father in tight grip. It was the total fee he had to pay within a week and if he could not pay it, then his mother would be expelled from the hospital but what could she do. His father's heart was as hard as a stone even the bill paper was not his father saw.
"Go, Eliana. We'll attend your mother's funeral later" his father's wife said.
Father and wife stepped in, Eliana wiped her tears violently and passed away. The only hope he had turned out to be so disappointing, he thought his father was petrifying but the bitter pill he got. He should have known because his father didn't care about them long ago.
Eliana stepped aimlessly, she had to go back to the hospital but she couldn't because she had no money at all. The park became his destination, he did not know anyone was watching him from a distance and was looking for data on him.
The garden bench becomes the place to shed the chest-stifling sadness. Before looking for her father, Eliana had tried to borrow with friends, relatives of her mother even she also borrowed money from the boss but no one wanted to lend because the amount was not small.
"Where else should I find money?" she complained, she hoped that there would be a miracle for her. Either way, he would do anything so he could earn money for his mother's hospital expenses.
"Looks like you're in trouble, miss," suddenly an old man was sitting by her side. Eliana was startled and shifted her seat, eyes looking at the old man in full search.
"Don't be afraid, I just want to talk to you" said the old man, a friendly smile adorning the old face.
"Oh, what's Grandpa doing here?" Eliana wiped her tears, she looked embarrassed.
"Like you, I'm looking for the wind to solve the problem I'm facing."
"What's the problem Grandpa's having?" ask Eliana.
"I haven't eaten in two days, miss. No one wants to feed me, it looks like this old man is going to die on the street."
Eliana looked in disbelief, the old man looked so neat. The expensive clock was also circular in hand, how could he not have the money to eat? I wanted to ask, but he did not dare. Eliana opened her bag, took the money from there and gave the money to the old man.
"I don't have much money, Grandpa. But with this money Grandpa can buy two portions of fast food," he said, while giving the money he had on the grandfather.
"You're a really good girl. My problem is solved, now tell me what problem you're going through. Maybe this grandpa can help."
Eliana smiled, she looked reluctant. But he felt that there was no harm in saying what he was dealing with, perhaps thus the burden was slightly reduced.
"Just tell me, don't be afraid of me."
"Actually I was looking for hospital fees for my mother, Grandpa," a heavy breath exhaled, a look of eyes gawking. Why does life feel so heavy?
"What happened to your mother, Miss?"
"My mother had been sick for a long time, I had nothing left," she looked down and cried, "I have tried my best, but I am just a useless child. The father I expected to not help me, I really didn't know what to do. If I can't afford my mother's hospital fees, then my mother will be expelled. I wouldn't be able to see my mother lying at home without getting treatment" Eliana said with tears streaming down.
"I can't do anything, Grandpa. I really wish there was a miracle for me, I'm even willing to do anything so that my mother can still get the proper treatment."
"Are you serious about what you say, miss?"
"Of course, I would do anything for my mother."
"Good girl, my eyes don't misjudge" said the old man.
"I mean Grandpa?"eliana did not understand.
"Call me Ray, I am indeed looking for a sincere hearted girl like Miss. Would you like to listen to the offer I'm giving you? If Miss is willing, all the hospital fees as well as Miss's mother, will get the best treatment."
"What?" Eliana surprised. Is this a miracle?Or was that old geezer a long-legged uncle?
"How, but the task that Miss has to do is not easy," Ray smiled, he hoped Eliana would accept the offer from him.
"W-What should I do?" ask Eliana. He hopes it is not a difficult task because it is an opportunity he should not miss at all.
"It's easy, I want Miss to give birth to a child for Young Master."
Eliana was surprised. Eyes even glared as he looked at Ray. Childbirth? Is this a joke rich people like to throw?
"No need to rush, think carefully," a business card was taken and given to Eliana.
"I look forward to the good news from you, Miss Eliana. Call me as soon as you make a decision," Ray moved on after saying so. The old man stepped away, he was sure Eliana would have received an offer from him.
The girl was the most competent candidate among the other candidates to give birth to an heir for the Young Master she served.
Eliana was like a dazed person after Ray's departure, had she just heard a joke amidst the sense of despair she felt? No, he thought the old man was serious about the offer he gave.
