Chapter 4

The national exam is held for four days. It doesn't feel like everything has passed. Anne felt a little relieved, at least one less burden. Anne was just waiting for the SNMPTN announcement. Anne didn't expect much, but Anne was convinced that whatever the outcome was, it was for the best.

Because the national exam is computer-based, the national exam is divided into three sessions. Anne gets the first session. He had a morning session. At 12:00 WIB, Anne and her friends had finished one session. Everyone was relieved even though the questions that appeared did not match the expectations of the students.

Anne should be home soon. He walked towards the parking lot. His eyes were fixed on Reyhan who was on his motorcycle while wearing a helmet. Anne ran up to speed, then approached Reyhan.

"Hey. How's testing?" anne asked Reyhan.

"Alhamdulillah."

"From the look on the face, it looks like it's good?"

"You too, right?"

"Hm.. I don't know, the matter that came up was beyond my expectations, but at least the exam's over."

"Yet. Life is a lot of testing. The test will continue."

Anne just grimaced hearing it. "I mean, exams at school."

"Yes, I'm going home first."

"Wait a minute, Rey. We haven't talked much. So you are free? I want to talk to you a lot."

"It's important?"

"Yes, there is something in my heart and mind. It may take a while."

"OKAY. I'm free now. Where are you going?"

"As far as you are. Your comfort."

Reyhan smiled, then said, "What a woman you are."

Anne fell down and remained silent.

"Well, what about my house? There's a family there, so there's no slander." Reyhan gave me a choice.

Anne nodded without a word.

"You know the food stall 'Hani', right? My family lives behind it. I'm sorry, I can't get too close to women. Sorry, we can't shake hands. When you get to the front of the shop, call me. I'm gonna put my bike down first."

After Reyhan left the school grounds, Anne smiled with flushed cheeks. Reyhan is not as cold as usual. He is more friendly than ever.

Anne took the bike. He pedaled his pedal towards Reyhan's house. The distance is not too far, but if taken by bicycle, fatigue appears as well. Finally, Anne arrived in front of the food stall "Hani".

Anne took the device from her bag. He immediately contacted Reyhan via whatsapp.

"Rey, it's here" Anne wrote in the short message.

Shortly after, Reyhan came out to see Anne. Anne is welcome in. Anne was a little confused as she walked in from the door of the food stall that was opening.

"So this is your food stall?" ask Anne.

"My parents were more precise" Reyhan replied.

Behind the food stall, stands a house with a mediterranean design that is very luxurious and magnificent. Anne is welcome in. Anne clucked in admiration. His eyes glared as if he could not believe what he saw. Unlike the appearance of an almost invisible food stall outside, Reyhan's house is actually very spacious. A completely clean marble floor adds to the person inside feeling comfortable and at home. In the living room, Anne was greeted by Reyhan's sister, then she sat on the brown sofa there.

"Please sit down, Ma'am. I make you drink the same potluck food yes," said Reyhan's sister.

"Not bother."

Reyhan's sister goes in to make him a drink and prepares a meal for Anne. While waiting for someone to come out into the living room, Anne took a look around. His eyes glanced to and fro. He remembered the atmosphere of his home before Anne's father died. After Dad died, Dad's company went out of business. All of Dad's legacy assets are for sale. The house of Indekos managed by Anne's mother also ran out unceremoniously, only one house left that should have been contracted. Finally, Anne and her mother lived in the house. Anne's present home is much narrower and much simpler, but Anne is so grateful to have such a strong mother that they can both rise from adversity.

Not long after, Reyhan's sister came.

"Sir, I'm sorry if you wait a long time" he said with a smile.

"It's okay. I even thank you so much for being treated like this."

"Please enjoy" said Reyhan's sister. "This boy is Mas Reyhan's classmate?"

Anne shook her head. "Reyhan was my loyal customer when I was selling cookies. Almost every day he bought. Buying too much. From then on, we met often and I borrowed many interesting books."

"Oh, so. By the way, we haven't met. My name is Reyhani, just call Hani."

"Oh, so the name of the food stall is your name anyway.. Funny too, her name is both Reyhan," Anne said with a laugh.

"Yes, Mother. Reyhan and Reyhani actually abbreviated the name Papa-Mama. My papa's name is Reynaldi, and my mama's Hanin."

"Your fathers are very creative" said Anne. "Oh, yes, your parents' restaurant business is quite large, why is it still called a food stall?" ask Anne.

"It's just branding, Ma'am. Food stalls don't just connote small eating places, right? From the past until now, starting from our food stalls were small, until it was big like now, Papa did not want to change the term of this place to eat because the cuisine we serve is still the same," answer Hani.

"Interesting too yes. By the way, what class are you in?"

"Class XI."

"SMA 1 too?"

"No, Ma'am. My school is at Islamic High School near Toko Ijo."

"Oh yes, yes" said Anne, nodding. "Tomorrow you're leaving dong?" anne asked Hani.

"Yes dong, Ma'am. Class XII exams are over today. It will be addictive if the holidays continue."

The two laughed at each other in their conversation. Shortly after, Reyhan came out into the living room.

"Han, you accompany Mas here" Reyhan told Hani.

"Sorry, An, if you wait too long. Thanks for waiting. Uh, yeah, what do you want to say?" Reyhan went straight to the crucial point Anne needed.

"Rey, I read your book 'The Story of My Love' yesterday."

"Continue?"

"I like your language style. I'm interested in studying in the field of authorship to fill the free time before the SNMPTN announcement."

"If you want to learn, you can. But is it not wrong if you ask me? Maybe it's good if you ask other female friends, who are more qualified than me. Dina, your classmate, is good at writing too, right?"

"But this book is yours, Rey."

Finally, Reyhan is willing to mentor Anne during her free time before entering college. However, Reyhan has one condition, writing tutorials will be implemented if one of them brings at least one person to mediate so as not to arise slander between the two.

"So, what message are you going to give me before I leave this house?" ask Anne.

"The test will remain as long as the wheel of life is still spinning and the chain has not broken. You have to pedal it stronger" Reyhan said.

"By reaching a point above a predetermined timeline" Anne continued.
