TITISAN MARANTI'S

TITISAN MARANTI'S
AMBULANCE DRIVER

Nur Rahman's gaze was fixed on the gurney that was being used to support Rendi's body. It was still firmly placed in the middle of the room. Rendi's body was still lying on it with the same circumstances as when he left it earlier in the room. The tail of Nur Rahman's eyes swept through the entire room and when his eyes turned to the left, the young man knew the source of the loud voice he had just heard.

“Oalah, the sound of his water bottle Mr. Makhrus falling was the cause,” muttered Nur Rahman while walking towards the bottle that slammed onto the floor.

Nur Rahman picked up the metal bottle from the floor and placed it in its original place. His friends who were initially afraid had finally dared to enter the room.

“Nur, Rendi's dress how is it?” nizwar asked as he walked closer to Nur Rahman.

“We take it home for the peace of heart of his family. Maybe later they will also bury the last clothes worn by Rendi,” replied Rendi while walking towards the bucket that was used as a place for her friend's clothes.

“It just so happens to be a crackle, Nur! Maybe it was deliberately provided by the Puskesmas,” sela Karmin while thrusting black crackle to Nur Rahman.

“Thank you,” replied Nur Rahman while picking up one by one Rendi clothes from inside the bucket to put in the Karmin handing crackle just now.

While Nur Rahman wrapped Rendi's clothes into black crackles, Pak Ibnu and his two men returned to face the corpse of Rendi who had been forgiven. They send prayers to the spirit of the Rendi.

Nur Rahman who was putting one by one Rendi clothes into a black crackle became surprised because he found a strange object in the pocket of Rendi's pants. Out of curiosity he put his hand into the pocket of his friend's pants that have died and he took out the contents of the round shape.

“Yes God! It's a lato-lato toy. Maybe Rendi wants to buy this lato-lato toy for her two sisters,” muttered Nur Rahman with a sad feeling.

The young man could not imagine how lost his mother and two sisters to the departure of Rendi forever.

Nur Rahman put the two toys in his sling bag. He plans to deliver the toy later after meeting the deceased's two younger siblings.

After finding the toy, the, Nur Rahman was curious and reached into all the pockets in his friend's clothes and his efforts were not in vain because he found a piece of paper which is the receipt of the purchase of the two lato-lato toys. In the receipt is written with the complete address and phone number of the store that sells the two toys. Nur Rahman also put the purchase receipt into his bag. After that the young man continued to look for other objects, but he found nothing more.

Right after he managed to put all the last clothes worn by Rendi into the crackle, the ambulance that would deliver Rendi's body came to the Puskesmas. The alarm was not turned on, but the siren light was still turned on so that the arrival of the ambulance to the Puskesmas was immediately known by people who were there because they saw the reflection of the look of the lights twinkling.

Five minutes later, police friend Kevin came with a Puskesmas officer to the morgue to pick up Rendi's body. Nur Rahman and his three friends also helped move Rendi's body from the morgue to the ambulance.

“Monggo just left, Mr Sanusi!” order the police on duty there to the ambulance driver.

“Who will accompany me on the ambulance? Mr Ridwan or this Mas-Mas?” ask Mr. Sanusi.

“Let me only, Mr. Sanusi,” replied the usual police called ‘Pak Ridwan’ it.

“Pak Ridwan knows the rain location?” ask Mr. Sanusi.

Mr. Ridwan shook his head.

“I don't know, Mr. Sanusi. But, we figure it out with these guys, right?” ask Mr. Ridwan.

“Iya anyway, Mr. Ridwan. But it would be better if those who accompany me who already know the delivery location to arrive faster. By the way, does Mas-Mas anyone want to accompany me on the ambulance because Mr Ridwan does not know the delivery location?” mr. Sanusi said to Nur Rahman and his three friends.

“Which ushers sit in front of what in back?” asked Nizwar innocently.

“You sit in front can, want to sit in back can also! Just like it. But, if you sit behind ntar tell me what direction?” sahut Pak Sanusi with a friendly tone.

“Let me accompany Mr Sanusi!” Nur Rahman offered to the ambulance driver.

“Aalhamdulillah's. Yes it is, monggo! We'll just go, okay? There will be other patients who need this ambulance. Understand suburban Puskesmas only get one ambulance ration for all the needs of Puskesmas patients,” said Mr. Sanusi kindly.

“Monggo!” sahut Nur Rahman.’

Finally they set out to deliver the body of Rendi to his home. Mr. Sanusi rode an ambulance accompanied by Nur Rahman, while Mr. Ridwan who originally wanted to accompany Mr. Sanusi also switched to ride in Pak Ibnu's car.

Ambulance cars also drove to break the cold of the road in the early hours of the morning in the small town. After walking for some time, finally the ambulance arrived at Intermart which departed was visited by Nur Rahman and his friends. Across the Intermart street there is a simple house that has been abandoned by its residents for two years. By the time the ambulance passed in front of the house, conditions there that were usually quiet and dark at that time became crowded and bright. The crowd happened because there were police and forensic teams who were there on the orders of Captain Suhermanto.

Mr. Kevin and Mr. Makhrus have managed to find a small child-sized skeletal bone in an old cupboard that has begun to be eaten by termites in the house. Of course Mr. Makhrus became hysterical when he first saw the skeletal bones. It turns out that the information he received from the spirit of his son through the body of Nur Rahman proved to be true. Forensics team immediately collected the skeletal bones for further observation. Who and what committed the crime of murdering the child.

As the ambulance passed in front of the house, Nur Rahman saw the spirit of Pak Makhrus' son waving at him from a distance. Nur Rahman could only smile back at the child's spirit. He was happy because seeing the spirit of the little boy was not as bad as before. The longer the child's spirit becomes more transparent. Nur Rahman concluded that soon the spirit of the little boy would leave this world.

“Whose smile, Mas?” ask Mr. Sanusi.

“Neither, Sir,” answered Nur Rahman lying.

“Oh yes, what is the name Mas?” ask Mr. Sanusi again.

“Nur Rahman, Sir,” replied the young man.

“Friend or brother mas who is behind?” ask Mr. Sanusi again.

“Friends, Sir. Oh yes, Mr Sanusi has long been an ambulance driver?” Nur Rahman asked back.

“Hm ... Twelve years old, Mas Nur,” replied Mr. Sanusi while throwing a smile.

“Twelve years is not new anymore, sir. Like it is older than the age of this ambulance car,” protest Nur Rahman.

“Iya, Mas. The old ambulance car was damaged so it was replaced with this one. But, the driver was still me. Well, how else, my ideals actually want to be a personal driver businessman or official. He even became the driver of the dead,” replied Mr. Sanusi joking.

“Yes, just grateful, sir. Businessman or his office later if it's dead, Mr. Sanusi also intervened, right?” ledek Nur Rahman's.

“Ya yes ... reasonable, Mas Nur!” sahut Mr. Sanusi with his crisp.

“Oh yes, Sir! During his time as an ambulance driver, did Mr Sanusi ever experience strange events?” ask Nur Rahman.

“Hm .. there is, anyway. Why, Mas?” ask Mr. Sanusi.

“News dong, Sir! Let's not sleep on the road. Our journey is still long,” replied Nur Rahman.

“I was actually lazy to bring up the spooky incident. You see if I remember that incident so cringe again, Mas!” mr. Sanusi's Timpal.

Nur Rahman did not. He only looked at Mr. Sanusi's face as he spoke. He hopes the man in front of him does not abandon his intention to tell him about his experiences as an ambulance driver.
