DNA Test Results

"Rich, can I come in!?" Raf bows his head before entering the workspace of his cousin's sister.

"Come in!" rich said lethargicly.

"Are you okay!?" the husband of Menta looked at Rich carefully.

"Come away" he answered while shrugging his shoulders listlessly. Since Richela's arrival a few days ago, Rich has been quiet and brooding in his room all day. He didn't even want to have lunch outside with the others. When he saw Runi, he tended to avoid and did not want to interact because he felt very embarrassed.

"The test results will come out this afternoon, the doctor who was sent to handle it will come and meet with all of us" Raf gave information.

"I'm really not ready for all this Raf!" Rich pulled and exhaled heavily.

"Everything will be okay!" papa Raguel patted Rich's shoulder to strengthen him. Of all the Anderson extended family, Raf was the only person who was quite close to Rich. They had always been through their days since childhood together. When Raf falls Rich is the one who is loyal to guard it, then when Rich falls, Raf also who sustains it.

"Hufffff" he put his head over his folded hand on the table. The frustration that ensued made his days very bleak.

"Have you met the boy at Rach's?" ask Raf.

"Not yet" Rich shook his head violently.

"I heard he had several fevers and nosebleeds" Raf got his info from his wife who was in Anderson's granddaughter group.

"I don't care about him!" Rich still denied the boy's whereabouts.

"Then did you get any information about Marleena?" Raf then asks about the girl's mother.

"Not yet, I've completely lost track of him" pending DNA testing, Rich also tries to find information about Richela's mother by hiring a detective.

"Patience!" again Raf gave reinforcement.

"What I'm confused about, if he's my son, why did he just tell me where he is now? why not from the beginning when she was pregnant!?" Rich was furious with Marleena who kept this a secret to him.

"If you knew from the beginning, what would you do? do you want to be responsible for marrying her? or even drop it?" Raf tried to dig into his sister's mind.

"Come away!" Rich didn't think much about it.

"I think he has a special reason why he would prefer to keep it a secret and just tell you now" Raf tried to be objective.

"But it still hurts me!" Rich emotion.

"It wasn't a loss to Rich, but rather a consequence of what you've done before!" Raf invites Rich to think logically.

"You look at me, Menta used to keep her pregnancy a secret from me, even until our son died for years I just found out. At that time he had his own reasons for keeping it a secret from me. The pain that I inflicted on her life made Menta choose to no longer communicate with me. And that was the consequence I had to accept for having done evil to her!" give an example of his own life.

"Ahhhh my head feels like it's about to break!" Rich did not reject Raf's words, because he knew they were true. He grabbed his own hair violently as if he wanted to release his tired mind from his head.

"Calm yourself!" Raf slapped Rich on the shoulder.

"Thank you, we'll be there soon" Raf replied.

"Okay sir, excuse me" the secretary nodded before closing the door again.

"Come on Rich, let's meet" Raf took Rich whose face was very gloomy.

"How did the doctor go?" Mike asked the Head of Anderson Hospital Lab after a blood sample belonging to Rich and Chela were taken to the laboratory for DNA testing over the past few days.

"Half of Miss Richela's genetic markers match those of Mr. Richard's, meaning ninety-nine percent of them do have a father-son biological relationship" the doctor explained, handing over the results of his lab tests.

"No way! There must be a mistake, I want a retest!" Rich shook his head violently.

"Calm down Rich" George tried to calm down.

"Yes, sir, there is one more thing I want to say, after doing DNA testing, it turns out there are some who have genetic disorders and it seems quite severe" explained the doctor again.

"How do you mean doctor?" Dimas asked to clarify Chela's condition. However, the girl is now officially a part of Anderson's lineage, even though she was born outside of a legal marriage.

"Miss Richela has a genetic disorder that leads to blood cancer" the doctor told Dimas.

"Chela's sick with cancer?" Gide then recalled that during the past few days, during which the little girl lived in her house, she had frequent fevers and sudden nosebleeds for no apparent reason.

"True sir" he nodded.

"What's the pain?" Gamal also tried to confirm the information again.

"If you look at it, it seems serious enough, but I can't say anything more, because there are special specialists who are more entitled to explain this" the doctor didn't want to get ahead of his colleagues.

"Then how should we?" Raf felt sorry for Rich as if given a long ordeal.

"My advice needs to be re-examined as a whole so that the results are accurate" then the doctor gives a letter of recommendation for further examination.

"Hhhhh my head hurts so much!" Ron who had heard the results then walked out of the meeting room just like that regardless of the others. Now all he had in mind was the reaction of Ayu's wife who would feel very devastated when she heard that Chela was their granddaughter and was suffering from blood cancer.

"Dad!?" Rich feels guilty to Ron and then tries to chase him to apologize.

"Let Dad calm down Rich!" Mike held Rich's hand.

"But yeah," he stopped when he understood Mike's eyes.

"Well doctor, thank you for all the help" George gestured to the doctor that his task was done.

"Okay sir, then excuse me first" he nodded and then resigned.

After the doctor leaves, Mike and George move out of the meeting room, leaving Raf, Gide, Gamal and Dimas who are still loyal to accompany Rich to provide moral reinforcement to him.
