Ch. 006. Are These Tears?

The girl called Lian Qiyue was smiling warmly. Qiyue grabbed onto Hua Lin's shoulder and said, "How? Isn't this mission a good fit for you?"

"It is you who understand me the most, Yue'er!" he hugged his best friend tightly.

At the moment when Qiyue was still walking through the passage to look for the target, suddenly someone appeared behind her while staring with a dark look.

From earlier his breath was blocked, his heart racing with just the cold gaze of the mysterious woman.

When turning, Qiyue passed Hua Lin who was kicking the door to make the locked door open.

Hua Lin turned his head to the side and found Qiyue who was panting heavily from running from earlier without stopping.

The two went inside to catch the scientist. There, a man who was shocked by Hua Lin's kick that knocked down the door instantly neutralized his expression.

"Hurry now!!!" said the voice of the mysterious woman encountered(?) by Qiyue a moment ago with a sizzle.

Qiyue with trembling hands picked up her gun and pointed it at Hua Lin. He was ready to pull the trigger.

"What's a—?!" hua Lin asked as she saw Qiyue point a gun at him. However, his speech was stopped by the sound of gunfire echoing.

Hua Lin's eyes grew bigger in surprise. He looked towards Qiyue with his eyes fixated. Then his eyes drifted backwards.

Hua Lin could see a man drenched in blood. The blood was pouring out of his left chest. It seemed, Qiyue indeed wanted to point towards the heart of the Scientist.

"It looks like she's dead" said Hua Lin who had checked the man's pulse and breathing, but there was neither a heartbeat nor a breath.
