Snowy Day

The cold wind blows slowly with the air temperature decreasing. Tree branches no longer have green leaves, standing firm despite the cold air, standing firmly covered by the white of snow. Snow descended slowly from the sky, falling down to the earth gently caressing the earth. The city streets are covered in snow, and so are many buildings.

The sun was ashamed to show itself. The air temperature is getting lower, it feels like lazing around, snuggling in a blanket in front of the fireplace while accompanied by a warm drink. The chimney began to billow one by one from the many buildings on the land of the country. Every family gathers together in his home with warmth and cheerfulness.

Not everyone is happy, not everyone is warm. On the other side of life that is so cruel, those who cannot feel it will be alienated and think differently. They just think simple, though,

"How do I keep my chimney steaming?"

They only think about how to get through the cold and how to survive for tomorrow. They need a helping hand, but not to be humbled and utilized. They are not their choice when they are born, they are only the hardest in carrying out the destiny that has been outlined for them. Being born is a gift, with different fates making people learn to sympathize and empathize. Not only that, but it also makes people express themselves and remain grateful under any circumstances.

Seeing the circumstances around him, a young man works hard to change his fate and those around him. He is determined to be a member of the council who voices the aspirations of the people. It works honestly, meaningfully and responsibly.

Years passed by that young man. Now he's wearing the councilman's badge on his chest. He made it halfway from his goal. There are many obstacles that he has to overcome in carrying out his duties. He always believed that, in this world there were still many of them who were good. It sounds naive, but it is something that at least needs to be instilled in his heart and mind. After that, his ideals were passed down to his children. He taught his children to remain confident in themselves and not be afraid to make decisions about the interests of many people.

. . .

A middle-aged man stared out the window. Behind his glasses, his eyes looked agitated and tired. He slowly exhaled his breath slowly which produced steam in the air.

A woman entered his reading room. He carried a blanket in his hand and walked up to the middle-aged man,

"Dad, the day is getting colder" said the woman with a gentle smile as she placed a warm blanket on her shoulders.

"Yes, the day is getting colder. I hope the chimneys in the houses light up, and they have enough food and blankets for the family..." Said the middle-aged man who then walked slowly towards his work chair.

The woman looked worried, she looked at her father with a gentle and affectionate look.

"Dad, Simon did well in his exams, I sent him something to reward him" said the woman, who sat on the couch in front of her father's desk.

"He's not a kid anymore, Joy. Why did you do it" said the father to his son.

"I know, but in my eyes she's still my little sister..." Reply Joy with a smile.

Mr. Howard drank the warm tea that was on his desk. Then he asked his daughter again,

"When's he coming back?" Short question.

"Ah, Simon will be back after the winter sports festival. He's great at playing Ice hockey, he's going to play this time. I'm sure he's busy preparing himself" Joy replied to her father.

Mr. Howard just nodded in understanding. He then drank his tea again and smiled sincerely. He seemed happy to hear about his son.

"How's his friend?" Ask Mr. Howard to Joy.

"Simon said he met Adreano Heinze. He said the two are quite familiar, it seems Adreano is a twin of Adrianne Heinze" Joy explained to her father.

"Heinze.." murmured Mr. Howard.

Joy turned her gaze towards the window and walked up to the window frame, then placed her fingers on the window pane. His gaze was fixed on the street in front of the Mansion covered in thick snow.

"I hope Simon eats well and sleeps well. Not thinking hard and learning well..." Say Joy slowly.

. . .

Lydenn Academy in winter has shorter teaching hours. Having already carried out the exam and the weather conditions were quite extreme, the Academy made the hours shorter. They'll be home at one in the afternoon. The cold air made the students and teachers lose their spirits since the morning. Many teachers have ordered their students to study independently.

The atmosphere of the corridor seemed more lively in winter. All of them were wearing winter uniforms and warm coats. Room heaters do not seem to be able to resist the cold of the air in winter.

"bbrrrrr... It's so cold this year!" joseph clasped his jacket tightly.

"Yes, this year. How to run a winter sports festival if the cold has made it lazy" continued Youngjoo.

Adreano only smiled slightly and exhaled his breath, steam appearing in the air. He then wore his black gloves,

"This year feels like it's been at the North guard post..." Adreano.

"Would that be? How long have you been there, Adreano?" Ask Youngjoo.

Adreano displayed a thoughtful facial expression and replied to Youngjoo while raising his eyebrows next to his,

"Maybe... Three months more" he replied seriously.

"Huh?! real long! Uh! I think I'll go home first and stop being a soldier..." Joseph said, shivering with cold

"Hahaha, that's why those in the military don't accept half-measures like you, fool!" Reveal Youngjoo with a small laugh.

Joseph who heard that then hit Youngjoo hard on the back, then the two engaged in a debate. Adreano who was between the two tried to calm down and looked resigned. Moments later, the back door of the class opened slowly and featured a tall Simon in his ice hockey team outfit.

"Well, do you go to this class dressed like that? " youngjoo asked Simon who then ignored Joseph again.

"ah! This... One of our team members suffered a broken injury in our last training -" Unfinished Simon explained, Joseph cut his talk.

"Yes! That's right, Joseph!" Simon cried with hope.

"Skip" Briefly said from Youngjoo's mouth.

"As a child these glasses "Joseph continued.

Simon who heard it immediately showed a sad and disappointed face, then he turned his gaze toward Adreano who just sat quietly near Joseph and Youngjoo.

"Why?" Ask Adreano.

Without further ado, Simon dragged Adreano's body forcefully and attempted to leave the classroom area. A panicked Adreano flashed a sharp glare towards Joseph and Youngjoo who waved at him.

Simon actually took Adreano away to where the ice hockey teams were training. The location is in the school area, a special place such as the indoor sports hall area but has an ice play area. Adreano looked around and saw some male students wearing the same uniform as Simon were busy in the ice arena.

"Simon, you are dragging me" said Adreano with his flat face.

"I'm sorry Adreano this time please help me. No, please help this team. Winter sports festival is just around the corner" Pinta Simon told Adreano.

"I can't be as professional as you guys, but I'll try" Adreano replied.

Simon then took the uniform, skating shoes, and hockey sticks that were nearby, then gave them to Adreano.

"Wear this and meet me at the ice rink" he said, who immediately entered the ice rink and chatted with other teammates.

Adreano looked at the uniform and then stepped into the dressing room. He soon changed his uniform to a hockey game. He took off his shoes and, after he finished changing his clothes, he put his uniform in one of the lockers. He walked with a hockey stick and a pair of skating shoes and called Simon on the ice rink,

"Simon!" Exclaims.

Simon who saw that immediately shot towards the edge of the ice arena. Apparently Adreano's exclamation brought the training to a halt, the whole team's gaze heading in his direction.

"You've changed? Put your shoes on and get into the arena!" Simon's words of spirit.

Adreano nodded and put on skating shoes then slid slowly over the ice rink. He was able to stand upright and control his steps on the Blade pedestal of his skating boots. Adreano stood next to Simon and put a helmet on his head.

"Well, can you control it?" Said Simon while embracing Adreano's shoulder.

"I help you, I want you to return the favor this time, because you forced me to" Adreano said with a sharp look in his eyes at Simon.

"Okay calm, I'll pay for it after your game on the team, Adreano" Simon said with a warm smile behind his protective helmet.

Adreano listened to all the brief explanations and play from Simon. Later, Simon introduced Adreano to his teammates. Adreano seems to be starting to blend in with them. Shortly after, they began training again with Adreano as one of their team members.

An hour had passed, and the time felt fast in winter. It's time to go back to the dorm. The entire practice was stopped and everything stopped and rushed to the dormitory. Simon's Ice Hockey team is still gathering together in the dressing room. They discussed Adreano's hockey game,

"The two great teams can find someone like Adreano!" Praise a team member.

"You're right, with Adreano we're really helped! four days of the festival are about to begin" the rest of the team continued.

Simon who heard that then walked up to his team members with Adreano by his side. Both of them had neatly changed their clothes to the academy's winter uniform.

"My friend is great, right? I told you I'd find a replacement as soon as possible!" Simon looked happy.

Adreano just kept quiet and smiled at the team members talking about him. He then turned around and walked towards the exit of the dressing room. Simon then says goodbye to the rest of the team and catches up with Adreano who is walking out of the training ground, the winter sports hall.

"Adreano wait!" Shouted Simon who was half running after Adreano.

Adreano opens the door and goes out, so does Simon.

"Hey, thank you for today" Simon said as he patted Adreano's right shoulder.

"Sama-sama" Reply Adreano briefly.

The two walked in silence and continued walking towards the exit of the school gate. The awkward Simon was just him staring at the back of Adreano who was walking in front of him.

"You seem more alive when you're with your team..." Said Adreano who broke the awkward feelings of the two.

"Of course, they're my team. I've really loved ice hockey since I was in junior high school" she replied, who then approached Adreano and walked up to him.

"It's no wonder you're the captain of a respected team" Adreano said.

"Thank you for the compliment" replied Simon.

The two walked through the gardens and headed to the dorm area. A black car parked in the front yard. A woman wearing a warm, dark red coat was shaded by a servant, she carried a carry-on suitcase in her hand. The girl looked familiar, apparently it was Jia Rong.

Simon who saw it immediately ran towards Jia and told Adreano to enter his dormitory first. Adreano obeyed Simon, but he looked at Simon who was running towards Jia Rong. They both seem to be talking about something. Adreano decided not to interfere in the affairs of the two and went into his dorm building.
