Chapter 149 - Surviving To Win
Three days of time passed quickly the planned arrangements Xiao Yuan had finished easily. There were only a few Sky Level Beasts that came out from within the Monster Forest, yet they were all killed by the Front-ranked Guards.
Ye Lin, Tang Yu and Qin Yue did a pretty good fight, besides the three of them all had already gone out of the Cloud City and fled.
Xiao Yuan did not hate him at all and respected their decision. After all these Beast Waves were too terrifying and it was hard to tell that they would return in one piece.
But holding this Beast back was a necessary action for now. The refugees took longer to run because most of them were just ordinary people, Women and Children.
If they didn't hold it back it was only a matter of time until this batch of Beasts caught up with him. So this action was not something futile for them.

The Beast's roar began to echo from the direction of the Forest, the ground began to shake slightly and everyone's gazes focused on the direction of the Monster Forest.

Xie Tan shot an arrow that had a fire on its end. The Arrow shot down and a huge Flame started to light up forming a pathway, thousands of Beasts slowly came out of the Forest and everyone felt extremely shocked.
The beast looked at the wall of Fire on both sides and seemed hesitant to pass through it. The thousands of Beasts simply followed their instincts and advanced forward according to Xiao Yuan's calculations.
Xie Tan and the others had already made a huge oil lake that was in the middle of the path, the Lake was covered by straw and many Beasts were forcing their way forward and passing through it.
Xiao Yuan felt that enough Beasts had already entered his trap.
"Song Sie.. do it now !" Shouted Xiao Yuan who gave his order.
Song Sie flew up into the sky and mobilized his Source Qi. Song Sie formed a seal in his hand and a flame appeared in his hand, The flame formed a snake and moved towards the Beast horde.

The Fire Snake hit one of the Beasts below and burned him to death. The flames that burned his body began to creep down and hit the straw, suddenly the explosion of Fire below began to enlarge and nearly hundreds of Beasts were burned alive within the Fire Pool.
Everyone who saw this felt very happy and their plans did not end in vain. Hundreds of Beasts died from burning alive and this would lighten their burden, although this method looked simple but the result was not something to be underestimated.
"All of you do not let your guard down. There are Beasts that have quite high Fire resistance, prepare your Great Arrows and focus on killing the Beasts that made it out from within the Fire Pool !" Shouted Zheng Qu loudly.
Everyone began to prepare and use a tool in the form of arrows with a large size. Any Beast that managed to escape the Fire Pool would be shot dead by them, so this would reduce the damage the Cloud City had.
As much as possible Xiao Yuan made a plan to keep his distance from the Beasts, at least he intended to reduce their combat power so as not to take a lot of casualties.
After all the difference in strength was too great and this was the only way he could think of. Save as much energy as possible and avoid unnecessary fights.
Even with this simple method of killing Creation-level Beasts, if this were to be passed on then victory was not impossible.
