We Are Together
Twenty-three

"Wait a minute, don't-don't-don't you be late this morning huh?" Nindhi asked curiously.

Keysa nodded. "Lied if I said no,"

"Crazy! How come you're late and punished, Key?" Nindhi asked excitedly. Of course, the excitement of Nindhi managed to attract many pairs of eyes to look at the two. The next second Nindhi's face met—awareness of the mistake she had just made.

For a moment, Keysa lightly inched his pulsating head with both palms. Really, he now feels dizzy when he hears the questions thrown repeatedly by his best friend for him. "It's a long story anyway" Keysa replied in an annoyed tone.

"Ceritain dong," Nindhi asked while installing her flagship puppy eyes.

Keysa let out a long sigh before finally clearing his throat slowly then nodded lazily. He could not resist if Nindhi had installed puppy eyes that could very easily make him melt.

...*...

The bell of his sign home had rung, some classes sounded boisterous for a moment. No exception to the class 11 IPA3. Not long after the sound of squealing chairs, tables, and doors sounded one by one. The hallway of the corridor that had been quiet now became crowded. The students are there to go home, play at a friend's house, go to the Mall or group work with his friends.

Keysa himself immediately returned excited after hearing the bell home rang just now. Keysa is now free from boredom. He started putting some books and stationery into his backpack. After finishing cleaning all his things, he sat down and swung his legs to approach the bench Nindhi, seen Nindhi was busy cleaning all his stuff.

After making sure if there are no items left behind—Nindhi immediately wear her backpack which is maroon red. Nindhi smiled, she then grabbed Keysa tightly, then they both walked together to go home.

Today the weather is so supportive. The sun shines brightly, the sunlight that manages to sting and make the body become flooded because of sweating, the sky is light blue surrounded by thin white clouds that are very pleasing to the eye. Although the light managed to make the skin warm up.

"Why did you leave this morning, Key?" Nindhi asked as they were walking down the corridor of their class.

"Come story now dong," he continued excitedly. Keysa had not been able to tell the story because the bell had rung.

Keysa let out a long sigh before answering a question from Nindhi just now. "Eum, but I'm not saying you cut it, are you?" Keysa asked with a bit of hesitation. Because when he tells Nindhi, surely Nindhi will cut his words continuously, and it makes Keysa lazy himself to tell Nindhi again.

Nindhi nodded in agreement. "Yes my dear friend," Nindhi replied in a voice that sounded very enthusiastic. However, his smile from earlier did not fade at all.

Before starting to tell the story, Keysa first took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. "So gini.. was this morning, did I wait for the bus at the stop? But the bus I was waiting for didn't come, uh lapse a few minutes suddenly he da—"

Nindhi's eyes immediately glared. "Who is he, Key? Does he mean that it's a ghost?" Nindhi asked with a slack.

Before Keysa finished his words, Nindhi first cut him off. Keysa continued to stomp his feet in annoyance, he pinched Nindhi's smooth arm softly. "Gue did not want to continue the story," upset as he crossed his chest and turned his face to the left side, sulking.

This immediately made Nindhi pursed her lips cutely. "Well, what's that?" Nindhi protested while stroking Keysa's smooth arm. He himself made his own crime.

Keysa turned his face again towards Nindhi. "Lo cut my words, I'm going to be lazy to make a story again," Keysa said in a tone that sounded annoyed. As Keysa guessed, Nindhi must have cut her words again.

Why did I cut off Keysa's words, huh? Nindhi asked inwardly.

Naturally, Nindhi was indeed a little forgetful.

Keysa just rolled his eyes. Actually he was lazy to tell a story—given that every time he spoke, Nindhi must have always cut his words. But he tried to cover it up. "Well, you must have remembered your mistake, right, Nin?" Keysa asked right while clucking annoyed.

Nindhi scratched at her nape that was not itchy, she then nodded her assent as she smiled withholding embarrassment towards Keysa. "Yes, the story goes, Key? Not good to know if hanged, my heartache," Nindhi said as dramatic as possible—hal was going to make Keysa again grunt annoyed.

The next second Keysa cleared his throat slowly before answering Nindhi's words just now. "But you have to promise first, don't cut my words huh?" Keysa asked as he thrust his little finger towards Nindhi.

Nindhi though? He immediately smiled faintly, his face looked instantly sparkling, at once he nodded in agreement. Nindhi linked her little finger with Keysa's finger while smiling sweetly. He had promised himself that he would no longer cut off Keysa—'s words if he did then it was certain that Keysa would never tell him again.

"Eum, where did I tell you?" Keysa asked again. Now his face was confused. He raised his head up and tapped his cheek with his pointy fingernails.

"Until he suddenly comes, maybe?" Nindhi guessed correctly.

A second later Keysa smiled broadly and nodded in agreement. Nindhi's answer is not wrong, the truth is true. "Suddenly he came—" Keysa deliberately paused his words, he then glanced at Nindhi who was putting on a very curious face.

"She I mean is Darel Arsenio" Keysa explained in a soft-sounding voice as he mentioned Darel's long name. Because the red school has not been completely deserted—given that there are still some students who roam in the school. Of course Keysa does not want if there are students who hear his chat with Nindhi.

Then Nindhi immediately glared in disbelief towards Keysa and shook his head slowly. To be honest he is very confused, the article so far Darel not just allow a girl to ride his motorbike—Darel was forced to do it if you have to let Sherly ride his bike. Really, Darel does not like if his goods are touched by others, not least his family.

"Gue automatically surprised dong? I kept going straight to Darel, why can it be here, with his leisure he replied that he accidentally saw me who was sitting in the hall and then he samperin me deh," he whispered.

Keysa glanced at Nindhi's face that looked cengo, Keysa chuckled softly. Very amusing. "She's the time I make sure I go together, at first I really nolak ya but finally I want to go with him. You need to know, the bus I was waiting for was not passing by, so I had to nebeng Darel,"

Keysa let out a long sigh before starting to say again. This time Keysa was upset. "Worse yet this morning the streets were jammed for mercy, as a result me and Darel so late dong?"

Nindhi just nodded her head in the sign that she understood Keysa's story that had just been told. "And we both ended up being caught equally, Nin. Luckily, no one heard Keysa's story just now. Because the corridor they passed seemed quite lonely. If the killer teacher heard the words of Keysa just now—last Keysa's history.

Nindhi shuddered in horror upon hearing the name of the burik. Especially when seeing rattan wood owned by burik? Hell no's!

"And finally we were both punished deh, around the field fifteen times, but we were both only around thirteen times prayer, the end of the break bell was already sounding, I'm very lazy if I run seen by many students" continued Keysa which ended with a slow puck.

Nindhi was not surprised anymore when he heard the word running, for him running was food every day. If he was given a choice—then he would be happy if he had to replace Keysa to run the field. Nindhi nodded her head, a sign that she understood everything. "Oh, so that's the story?"

Keysa sniffed his shoulders indifferently. "That's it, Nin,"
