Why Are You So Disinterested In Affection?

Why Are You So Disinterested In Affection?
Chapter 06

Early in the morning, Albert was already in front of the northern castle at this time.

He looked at the northern castle that looked unfit for habitation, the walls that were cracked in various places, the wild plants that were creeping over the wall.

At that instant he realized, wasn't the northern castle a castle for unwanted concubines? It's like a place of exile.

Albert looked at the deserted surroundings of the northern castle, there were no servants passing by in the castle grounds, Albert frowned, he seemed to have forgotten something.

The small door of the castle opens, revealing the figure of Elena who intends to come out when she feels the air of Albert's existence.

Albert gasped, he looked towards Elena who was looking at him with a flat gaze.

"Ekhem, where's the Princess? I'm here coming to pick him up" Albert cleared his throat once, he asked with an inquisitive face.

Elena was silent for a moment, she actually stepped out of the castle door, looking at Albert's curious face.

"I'm sorry, but please tell His Majesty the Emperor, the Princess is currently sick, last night she had a fever, and is currently resting in her quite cold room" elena explained with a word of insinuation at the end.

Albert frowned thinly, the words of this servant in front of him, sounding insinuating. He was sure it was a word of insinuation for the Emperor.

Albert was silent for a moment, so he decided to go back and tell the Emperor that the princess was sick at this time.

"It just so happens that yesterday was the first day the Princess met His Majesty the Emperor, and that night she had a fever" Albert's inner voice was filled with monologues.

"Well, I'll convey it to Your Majesty, may the Princess get well soon, I'm resigned to retreat" Albert lowered his head slightly, and passed away from there.

Elena's gaze gradually got worse, it seemed to be filled with an obvious cold gaze.

Elena inwardly cursed the Emperor, she closed her eyes then let out a long sigh, she should calm down.

"Hufft-forget it, I'll go to the forest looking for herbs for Miss' medicine" Elena closed the castle door tightly.

He started to walk towards the west of the castle, there was a small unspoiled forest at all, he was not worried about leaving Liana alone in the castle, he had no worries about leaving Liana alone, there was one small ferret who claimed to be familiar to Liana who was guarding her.

Aaron is currently in his study, busy with various files on the table, financial statements, various complaints from the people, and many more.

He sighed, thinking the rebellion was well dealt with, and the perpetrators were currently being held in a dungeon.

Her mind flew, she thought of her youngest daughter coming here, a faint smile rising on her face, a paper-thin smile, she couldn't wait to spend time with her youngest daughter.

Tok tok tok tok

"Excuse me Your Majesty, this is Albert" Aaron heard that, he told Albert to come in.

"Enter Albert" he pretended to read the file, as the door opened, Aaron glanced at Albert who was alone, without his youngest daughter.

When caught by Albert's eyes easily, he saluted Aaron before starting to explain.

"Mr Princess is currently affected by His Majesty's fever, his personal servant said the Princess is resting now" explained at length Albert.

Aaron raised his face, looking at Albert, as if he was judging whether Albert was lying or not.

Albert has cold sweat on his back, Aaron then stands up from his desk, after confirming his truth.

"Albert, go find Sean and tell him to work on the files, I'll go first" Aaron left, Albert dropped his jaw on hearing that.

"Your Majesty behaved the same as 8 years ago-ah" just then, Albert was aware of something.

As if in the middle of chasing something, Aaron's footsteps grew faster, he went to the northern castle, feeling worried when he heard that his youngest daughter was sick.

Aaron arrived at the northern castle, he looked at the castle that looked very unkempt with the quiet surroundings.

Aaron immediately felt a feeling of frustration in his heart, his daughter could get sick because of this unhealthy environment, he had to build one more castle close to the main castle.

With heavy strides, Aaron stood in front of the small castle door, actually not too small, just that it was not even half the size of the other castle doors.

Aaron just barged in, the door of the castle almost out of its hinges.Look inside the castle, inside the small castle looked clean.

Aaron stepped foot, through a long hallway without another room, the northern castle was designed with a small castle that only has two bedrooms.

After all this was a place where a concubine was exiled, its size was not even more than half the size of the eastern castle, which was famous for the smallest castle.

Aaron's steps were stopped at the doorstep of the room with blue paint, the wood seemed to have long been consumed by age.

His heart felt cold, as if he had just been dabbled with ice water.

"Aaron, what exactly have you done in the past? What did your youngest daughter do until you put her here?" Aaron cursed to himself.

Now she was willing, if her youngest daughter hated her, she would not protest, this was entirely because of her fault, but, not that she would just shut up when her youngest daughter hated her.

"Mother ..." a soft voice rang out from inside the room, Aaron's body stiffened.

Kriet....

Aaron smiled wryly at the shrill creaking of the door, when the door was wide open, he could see the interior of the room that seemed very simple.

Aaron stepped in, with cautious footsteps, he could see, a mound under a thin blanket for him.

Aaron's heart seemed to be pierced by a knife right then and there, his hand shook, and moved hesitantly, wiping off the part of the blanket that covered the figure behind the mound.

Looking at Liana's pale face, Aaron placed his hand on Liana's forehead, feeling the burning heat of the skin.

"Ugh-Dad ... Why don't you stare at me just once? I just want Dad to look at me, just once" Liana deliriously slept in her sleep, filled with tears.

The fever she suffered brought back bad memories she had almost forgotten in the form of a dream.

Aaron was immediately tense, now he was more and more convinced, that his daughter was reborn, Aaron's face became sad, ah, this is all his fault.

Footsteps rang out, Aaron ignoring it, his hands stroking Liana's head gently.

"Your Majesty?" a surprised voice rang out, Aaron turned his head, and he saw a woman in servant clothes looking at him with round eyes.

"Elena?" Aaron opened his mouth in doubt, he remembered now, Elena was the personal knight of Rafaela, his late wife.

"What are you doing here, Your Majesty the Emperor? Aren't you so oblivious and not even concerned about Young Miss? Do you intend to lick your own spit?" elena said.

Aaron fell silent, his face showed a look of regret, he was not angry with Elena's insolent attitude, he deserved it.

If to be honest, Elena wanted so badly to hit the Emperor in front of her this, she still remembered the promise this Emperor had said.

But what? She denies it, and Elena hates someone who doesn't keep her promise, let alone a promise made with the late empress.

Aaron stared at the fruit basket containing the various herbs in Elena's hands, thinking maybe it was medicine for Liana.

Aaron gathered the mana in his hand that was stroking Liana's head, Elena who saw that immediately came forward, her gaze sharply staring at the Emperor in front of her.

Giving a warning not to do anything to her Young Miss, Aaron ignored it, he slowly channeled the mana into Liana's body.

The mana with golden color was visible, it started flowing, enveloping Liana.

It was Aaron's healing magic, looking at Liana's gradually improving face, Aaron commented a faint smile.

Elena looked at that in silence, Felix was seen coming out from under the bed and approaching Elena.

The gazes Felix and Elena met, they seemed to have one thought in common.

Sensing the warm flowing mana, Liana slowly opened her eyes, her gaze was blurry, yet she could see the silhouette of someone right beside her.

"Dad? Is that you?" a hoarse voice sounded, in a tone of disbelief.

Before Aaron opened his mouth, Liana had already returned to speaking.

"But impossible, Dad never loved me, never wanted to look at me, Dad only loved Sera" Liana's voice sounded increasingly soft, until a sobbing escaped her lips.

Aaron panicked, but he still displayed his flat face, while continuing to channel mana to Liana.

Liana's memories were mixed up now, but the most dominant first life memory appeared, Liana crying.

Aaron smiled sadly, directed another hand and gently stroked Liana's face, wiping Liana's flowing tears.

"Honey, this is Dad, don't cry, forgive Dad" Aaron's voice softened, Elena who just kept quiet and saw the scene in front of him rounded her eyes perfectly.

"Lying, I don't even want to look at me, let alone call me with a call of love" Liana's tears flowed more and more, sobs of more cries sounded.

Good, Aaron feels increasingly guilty now, how much did he leave this wound on his daughter? He will never forgive himself.

Aaron sat down Liana's body, then hugged her tightly, his voice sounding vibrating withstanding the sobs that could have come out right then and there.

"I'm sorry Dad, I'm really sorry, please forgive Dad" Liana just kept quiet, but no doubt her crying became louder.

If this is a dream, please don't wake her up, she wants to feel her father's affection for her more, she just needs it, not anything else.

Elena had teary eyes, she took Felix then went out, giving space to the Emperor with her daughter.

"Emer, it seems like a miracle has happened, perhaps, Miss will be able to feel the affection of the Emperor, I will continue to be beside Miss, protecting her" Elena muttered as she had been far away from Liana's room.

Felix was just silent, he patted the back of Elena's hand, and looked at Elena with his round eyes.

It's a good start, isn't it? I hope for everyone's happiness in the future.
