Mafia Misses Heaven
"Abi, Umi, say hello to Hafidz." The little boy innocently called the two criminals as Abi and Umi as if his parents. His eyes were only in one direction.
"Well! Greetings?" They are both confused. What they should do.
"Abi, Umi, forget, if greetings are to be answered." The little boy again reminded with an enthusiastic and radiant expression.
"Relieve your respects!" whispered the mafia. He told the murderer to return the greeting of the little boy.
The murderer shook his head because he did not know how to return the greeting.
"Abi, Umi, replied wa'alaikumsallam, Hafidz was also taught by Abi and Umi."
They look at each other. It is strange to hear the word wa'alaikumsallam. For the mobsters and the ruthless and sadistic killers, they know no religion. Especially living his lead. The word greeting is rarely heard. They don't know either.
"Wa'alaikumsallam," said the two. Wouldn't want to return the greetings of the little boy. This is probably the first greeting they say.
"Alhamdulillah, Hafidz seneng Abi, Umi, is home." A look of happiness from that innocent little face. They both remained silent and astonished.
"Does that kid think we're his parents?" whispered the mafia.
"Maybe" answered the lazy killer.
The little boy in front of the two of them just smiled. A face without sin looks sincere. Only his eyeballs did not blink. They soon realized the little boy was blind.
"Kill him!" whispered the mafia.
"You crazy? he's still small, blind again" said the killer.
"You're saying a murderer without compassion, where's your guts?" ask the mafia.
The killer was silent for a moment. He gathered his courage that had been held back. He raised his sword back into the air to slash at the little boy. He swung his sword down quickly. But the sword fell, his hand unable to kill.
Prawn ...
The killer's hand shook. This time he was unable to kill. It was as if a light was emanating from the little boy's face, shaking his heart. Makes him weak.
"Why? You scared?" ask the mafia.
Tacit. Fixated. The killer is incapable of speech. He doesn't know why he's like that.
"Let me, let me" said the mafia. He picked up the sword that fell on the floor. He wanted to slash the little boy standing at the door with a smile that was still awake from earlier, but the killer held his hand.
"Don't!" ban the killer.
"Why?" ask the mafia.
"He's small, blind, won't trouble us" whispered the killer.
They both stared at each other. Eyes to eyes are linked to ensure a safe condition. Slowly the mafia's hand came down. He dropped the sword.
The little boy grabbed the hand of the mafia kissed him like his own brother as well as the killer he considered uminya.
"Abi, Umi, come on in!" bring the little boy.
"So soon, son, Umi talks to Abi first" said the killer.
"Okay Umi" replied the little boy.
The killer pulled the mobster's arm, took him to the edge of the porch. He started whispering to the mafia.
"We pretended to be Abi and Umi the blind boy for a while."
"You crazy? for what's complicated, just kill it off."
"We need a safe place, here far from the city and the house of the people, being the parent of the child is not wrong anyway he was blind."
The mafia thought. There is a truth that the killer said. There's nothing wrong with them being the parents of that little boy, but he's blind, and he won't know who they really are.
"okay."
"Come on!"
"Hafidz drink water first, Abi, Umi, must be thirsty." Hafidz walked into the kitchen slowly, while the two of them were still looking around.
"What good stuff isn't there?"
"Basar women everywhere matre."
"What did you say? my sword is still sharp."
The mafia was silent. It is futile to wake a tiger to sleep. He has to fight again. It is not certain that he will win against the tiger. They were drawn in the fight.
"Where are his parents? how can we be considered his parents?"
"Maybe dead or eaten by a wild animal."
"Can't you think that's smart."
"Speculation is free. Anyway, if they're alive and coming home, we'll kill them."
"Stop being cruel first, we don't know what that kid is?"
The mafia laughed. He was amused by the words of the killer who asked him to stop being cruel first. Not the mafia if not cruel, but he must stop rowing in a place that is foreign to him.
"Why are you laughing? I've never cut down a mafia like you."
"Sudden killer baper, where is your credibility as a ruthless and sadistic killer?"
"No silence? or my sword that keeps your mouth shut!"
The two of them again argued until Hafidz brought two warm teas with his small hands. Stand in front of the debate.
"Abi, Umi, this is tea for you." Hafidz gave one by one the warm tea for both. They simply stared at the teacup in front of him.
"Abi, Umi, where's the thank you. Abi said if someone gives us something, don't forget to say thank you."
"Ha ha ha." The killer laughed softly. Laughing Hafidz's speech.
"Thank you instead of laughing" whispered the mobster to the killer.
"You're there! abi's word is not Umi."
"Umi also says whoever does good to us, say thank you to her."
"Ha ha ha." The mafia laughed.
"You happy, huh?" whispered the killer.
"Glas."
"Thank you." Both of them said a sentence of thanks, a sentence that used to be very anti-spoken by both. There is no courtesy let alone reciprocity for a good. They do something more there is a power base like the law of the jungle, anyone will be killed if it is necessary.
Hafidz smiles.
"Change, Umi, drink the tea mumpung warm."
"Yes." Yeah." Both answered simultaneously.
Sip both teas in a cup made of zinc, green in color. Cups that are still outdated compared to the tea cups of today. The size is also quite large.
Just one sip. They're dumbfounded. The taste of the tea is very different from what they usually drink.
"What a drink this is."
"Fresh and made my throat feel relieved."
"What did you give me in this tea?"
"So my name is Hafidz, Abi who gave that name, let Hafidz be memorized by the Qur'an."
The killer stepped on the right foot of the mobster.
"Aw ..., you!"
The killer glared at the mobster. Gave him the code to call the name of the little boy heard right.
