Chapter 19

Yasmin arrived at the 25th floor, where the CEO's room was located. He went straight to the CEO's room, when he was in front of the door, Yasmin was a little nervous and her heart was racing. Yasmin was pacing around the door, hesitating to go inside. A few minutes later, Yasmin knocked on the door of the CEO's office.

Tok tok tok tok

"Get in" came an answer from within.

Yasmin took a breath and threw it away slowly, to relieve her nervousness and neutralize her racing heart. Yasmin tidied up a bit of her clothes, then opened the door of the CEO's room and went inside.

Yasmin saw a Gio sitting in his big chair focusing on his laptop.

"Excuse me sir." Yasmin ventured to greet her superior.

Gio who is still focused on his laptop turned to see who entered his room and greeted him.

"You." said Gio flatly. "O yes I almost forgot, you are Yasmin Kiara Prasetyo right ?!" asked Gio then he switched again to staring at his laptop.

"I-yes sir." Yasmin replied nervously as she lowered her head.

"Sit down." said Gio flatly without seeing Yasmin.

Yasmin walked closer to Gio's desk, and she immediately sat down in front of Gio who was blocked by his desk.

"You must have known? why do you I call my room."

"Yes sir." Yasmin replied.

"i've worked in a famous boutique for a year in the city of Surabaya, sir." replied Yasmin.

"I see your grades are very good, so you can be my secretary" he said.

"I've never worked as a secretary, sir. But I'll try to work as best I can." Yasmin said convincingly.

Yasmin was confused and hesitant to accept as CEO secretary or not. But he thought back, what's wrong with trying and adding new experiences for him to be a secretary, let alone the salary talked about by the HRD was quite large.

"I like your answer. Okay if so, I hope you can work well. You can work from tomorrow, to now finish your work first as an administration" said Gio as he looked at Yasmin, coinciding Yasmin also looked at him. A few minutes they both looked at each other, then Gio realized then turned his eyes towards his laptop. Yasmin lowered her head.

"ehmm, now you can go out" said Gio who returned to talk without looking at the person in front of him. "remember this, tomorrow do not be late, I least like the late employees." added Gio again flatly.

"Okay sir, if that's what I'm sorry about."

"Hm."

Yasmin got up from the chair, walked to the door and exited Gio's room.

Gio himself continued to steady Yasmin's body from behind, until the door closed and Yasmin was nowhere to be seen again.

Gio let out a long sigh, like there was a feeling of relief. Actually Gio did not mean to be cold or flat on Yasmin, just that he did it to cover up his nervousness and his heartbeat is very tight. Gio also did not know why he was like this, even though with some of his lovers never felt like he felt now.

Ever since looking into Yasmin's tender eyes that time, her heart was beating so fast. Gio would not take his eyes off Yasmin's eyes. Makes Gio curious about Yasmin. Moreover, he had read the middle name Yasmin, namely Kiara. But Gio did not want to immediately conclude, he was afraid of wrong people.
