49 Days: Getting Into the Body of a Vegetative Man

49 Days: Getting Into the Body of a Vegetative Man
6. Plain or Stupid?

"He forgot a lot of things. I've confirmed it" said someone on a cellular connection.

"Is he amnesiac?" ask the interlocutor across the call.

"I don't think he still remembers me, but there are things he doesn't remember."

"Are you sure he doesn't remember? I mean...is this not his plan to investigate something related to his accident at that time? He could have been pretending to forget."

"I'm sure. He even looks like a fool."

"Good, that means he won't remember, that he used to suspect you."

"Of course, I will take advantage of his condition like this. Looks like she'll be easy on me."

"Then, execute your plan well for our goal to be achieved."

The call was interrupted, a smile rose at the corner of Agatha's lips.

"I'm sorry, Andres. It turned out that eliminating you wasn't that easy, so now I'm going to play smooth and not have to dirty my hands anymore" her inner self.

At first Agatha was very surprised to hear the news of Andres who was aware of his coma. He was afraid that Andres was suing him because he already had the evidence to bring him down. That's why he didn't go straight to Andres when he found out that he was recovering. However, after investigating further, Agatha was grateful that Andres realized he was in a state of forgetting many things, including suspicions against him.

"If by rude means you don't disappear either, then I will use good means to destroy you, Andres," Agatha said.

...****...

Qia looked at Andres who looked ordinary. There was no sign of the man telling her what had happened.

Qia had no idea what the man was thinking, but she was curious what happened after Andres and Agatha left last night.

"Sir, did you come home late last night?" tanya Qia ventured. He did not know it, because at 5 pm his working hours were over and he came home from the Andres residence.

"No, after dinner I went straight home."

"Did something happen?" qia asked with a worried look.

"Nothing." Tagara is not as open as Andres who can tell everything to Qia, especially he also does not know whether to trust Qia or not. What he judged was that Agatha was good to him and Qia's accusations against Agatha were unfounded so it was not worth thinking about.

"All right, sir." Qia left the room with a lethargic face. He was increasingly convinced that the people now sitting in wheelchairs were not Andres, although somehow, their appearance and physique looked exactly the same.

Tagara breathed a rough breath. He was also confused as to who to trust here. But clearly, he already knew that Andres' life was surrounded by people who could not be guessed.

"Agatha is good, Qia is good." Tagara thought about who she should trust. Jordan said Agatha was a good girl and Tagara had seen that the speech was true. As for Qia, did Tagara also have to ask Jordan about Qia?

"Right now all I believe in is Jordan," said Tagara. He also did not know why he trusted the man who claimed to be his best friend. I don't know about Keenan. It seems that Andres' brother also loves his sister.

"Everybody in camouflage is getting good in front of me. But I have to be smart to find out their true nature, before 49 days end in vain" Tagara murmured.

It has been 2 days and now there are 47 days left. Tagara hopes that before the day runs out, she will get the answer and punish the culprit.

Tagara stood up from her seat then looked out the window. He was determined to get to who did it. But he also realized he didn't have the resources to start his investigation.

"Mr ..."

I don't know when Qia entered her room again, but now the woman seemed not surprised at all when she saw Tagara who was not sitting in her wheelchair.

"You ..." Tagara is out of words. Actually, Qia had deliberately caught him while he was standing like this.

Tagara pias, but she can't dodge it again this time.

"... Who are you? You're not Mr. Andres!" tuding Qia later.

Tagara lowered her head. Checkmate, he cannot answer Qia's true accusation.

"I know you doubt the truth I'm telling you. From what I can see, it seems that you consider Agatha a good woman, so you must feel that my words yesterday were nothing but nonsense" Qia said bluntly.

"Yes, he treats me well."

"Because he's tired of using bad ways, so he's willing to take advantage of your current ignorance."

"really?" Tagara's brows fused, showing her doubts at Qia's speech.

"You may not believe me, nor may I force you to believe me. But if Agatha asks you to marry, make a prenup with her" Qia suggested.

"Why?"

Qia pulled one corner of her lips. "Because Mr. Andres didn't really fall into poverty and it looks like Agatha knows that."

Qia's statement made Tagara's face shocked. Especially this? Why does Qia know about this?

"How do you know that?"

"Because all of Mr. Andres's asset papers were deposited with me, ever since he suspected Agatha of being engaged to him."

Tagara was increasingly shocked by this, especially after saying that Qia showed her letters in front of her eyes. Has Qia not been an ordinary housekeeper? Why did Andres leave everything to this woman? Do you believe that's Andres to her? That's what Tagara thinks now.

"Can we open up to each other now? I know you can't trust me right away. But rest assured that our goal is the same: to find the mastermind of all the events that happened to Mr. Andres," continued Qia.

Tagara saw the hand of Qia waiting to be held by him. He hesitated, but looking at the woman's eyes that seemed reassuring to him then he could judge if Qia was a person he could trust.

"I'm Tagara. My chance is only 49 days and it's been 2 days without any bright spots at all."

Qia was not surprised at all. He had expected that this sort of thing was indeed within his beliefs.

"Alright, we will complete the mission," Qia replied calmly as she shook hands with Tagara.

"Hmmm..." Tagara nodded, one question then popped out of her mouth. "Can I trust Keenan and Jordan?" tanyakanya.

"Of course." Qia sniffed his shoulders. "Brothers or friends have never been too close to Andres all this time" he said.

Tagara's eyes are breaking. "I trusted Jordan" he said.

"I know. You believe it on what basis?"

"Maybe because he claimed to be my best friend."

Qia laughed softly. "You plain or stupid? Looks like you don't fit in Mr. Andres' body" he admitted.

Tagara doesn't like Qia's blatant statements, but she was stupid in the past, which is why she's been a loser all her life.

"Don't think about it." Qia patted Tagara on the shoulder. "I'm just kidding, I'll help you finish this, Tagara," he said with a confident smile.
