"Did I faint after defeating the evil spirits?" Shua Xie again asked after a few minutes he fell silent.

"Sst! Be quiet, I am mourning this weak body of yours," the man replied as he strengthened his embrace so that Shua Xie would not flee from within his arms.

"Stupid, this attitude of yours will only make others misunderstand!" shua Xie replied firmly but she did not squeal in the man's arms, instead Shua Xie gave a thin smile accompanied by her cheeks that began to turn red.

"Hey, if they misunderstand me I'll explain who I am to you" the man replied again.

A moment of silence between the two of them, Shua Xie dissolved into the warm embrace of the man while the man smiled as he dropped his hand on the top of Shua Xie's head.

"Thank you."

"What?" Shua Xie raised his head, looking at the man who had just said a single sentence to her. Shua Xie clearly heard the man's voice, only that he wanted to re-hear and prove whether he had not misheard the man just say thank you to him. Unlike the one Shua Xie was familiar with, the man was usually high-handed and did not want to be humble.

"I won't repeat it again, I think you've heard it." The man patted Shua Xie's head slowly, making Shua Xie grimace slowly as his body was still not fully healed.

"Huh, don't get me wrong, I don't know if my actions helped you recover. But ... I'm grateful you can get your power back, Phoe," Shua Xie replied softly.
