A Match for Kanaya

A Match for Kanaya
Chapter 1 Marriage

"How's it going Doc?" a man in his fifties asked in an anxious tone mixed in panic as a doctor walked out of the icu room. In the accompaniment of a woman his age next to him in a panic waiting for the doctor's answer.

With a worried look on his face the doctor said. "Mr Arya, thank God the current state of the mistress is back to normal. But do not rule out the possibility of the disease can anytime relapse again. Do not let the mistress experience too much of the burden of the mind, because it will make it worse. Mrs Rita really has to rest a lot now" she explained wisely.

The man nodded in understanding.

"Okay doc, I get it. Please always give him the best care for him, "

"We will do everything we can with the best doctors in the hospital" replied the doctor. "I'll excuse you first because there's an operation schedule, then,"

"Yes please doctor,"

The doctor left. The middle-aged man forged the air in relief.

"Thank God my mother is fine. But we have to stay careful. Any time something worse could happen to him. I was very worried about the state of the mother" said the wife who stood next to him, no less panicked with her husband.

He looked at his wife's face gently. "My wife. Don'worry. Mom's gonna be okay. The doctor has worked hard for him" he said.

"How can I calm down after what our son did to your mother. Mother always insisted that Alex obey her will. I can't imagine what it will be like when I wake up and come back to demand her rights"

The teary-eyed old man could only fall silent and think of a way.

"For now we should be able to persuade Alex. I'll try to persuade him once more. Because he had to understand his current state"

A middle-aged man not too tall approached master Arya. "Mr Arya, Mr. Alex has just come here" whispered manager Hans after a few minutes and received a call from the office.

"The kid came here?" exclaim Mr. Arya.

Suddenly came a tall young man dressed in a neat black shirt with quick steps and a panicked face. He approached his father and mother who were still standing in his place. The person they were talking about had already appeared in plain sight.

"Alexes. You came too" said the old woman greeting her son.

His father and mother looked at him in turn. "Hows it? How did this happen? Why did my grandmother get sick?" Alex asked half in disbelief.

"It just happened. All because he thinks too hard about you. And look what's happening now. Your grandmother was lying unconscious" the father replied bluffing.

Alex was silent. Digesting all the words from his father. It is clearly to blame in this situation.

"I'm sorry, it's all my fault, but I have to choose"

"Not to be disputed anymore. We better see the situation of the mother now," said Alex's mother became mediator.

They decided to enter the room when after a nurse came to tell them that the patient had just regained consciousness.

"Mom, are you okay?" arya asked attentively.

Madam Rita nodded calmly. "I'm fine" and then he turns to Alex. "Alex, you're coming my granddaughter" Grandma's voice sounded faintly with her mouth covered in oxygen. A fluffy smile appeared on his still pale face.

Alex approached, immediately grabbing the grandmother's hand to hold her warmly.

"Yes grandma. I'm so worried about Grandma. Why did Grandma become like this? Is this because of my fault? Grandma, I'm sorry,"

The grandmother shook her head not to allow the words of her beloved grandson.

"No Alex. Don't blame yourself. I'm the one who's old, so it's natural to get sick like this. But my condition is good now" he replied calmly. "I'm sorry I worried you,"

"Grandmother, get well soon. I want to take you to dinner together again,"

My grandmother laughed when she heard it. "Arya" he said, glancing at his son. "Look at your son. She instead of asking a girl out on a date, she took me out to dinner,"

Arya's stunned. "Mother, don't talk too much. It's better for me to just rest," Arya replied, switching the conversation.

Lady Rita shook her head again. "It's okay. I was just curious about my grandson's opinion of what I said the other day. So how? Have you decided? So what's your decision" he glanced at Alex.

"Miss. I am more worried about Grandma now. Grandma thought of nothing but Grandma's own health. Grandma has to rest a lot"

"You can most divert the conversation, Alex. It is precisely with you getting married that I will be able to rest in peace now. At least, there's your wife accompanying me later,"

Alex was still tight. Don't know what to answer. But, inwardly he cursed greatly upon this. If he continued to refuse, it would disappoint his grandmother.

"I'd be so happy if you'd at least get to know him first. About marriage you decide. How's it?" my grandmother tried to negotiate.

Alex blew the air, staring at the grandmother in confusion. At that moment the mother spoke.

"What your grandmother said has a point. There's no harm in you trying to get acquainted with that girl. Next it's up to you."

Right now they are waiting for an answer and a decision from Alex. But there's no sign of that yet.

"Alexes. You didn't answer?" the father's loud voice loved him for a moment.

"alright. I accepted the offer. I'll make sure Grandma doesn't pull those words. I'm the one who decides," Alex replied steadily.

"OKAY. I concur. Because I'm sure you will accept the girl yourself" exclaimed the grandmother jokingly.

Alex smiled at him. "Come on. Let's see it later,"

Grandma smiled happily.

"Thank God. I'm happy with your answer. I can be a little calm now" said Miss Rita.

He turned to manager Hans who was silent behind Arya. "Manager Hans, please schedule our family meeting with the girl. I can't wait to leave this place and meet my son-in-law's future granddaughter,"

Manager Hans nodded in understanding. "Yes, I understand madam,"

"alright. I think I should rest now because my mind is calm,"

"Okay mom, let me stay outside" Alex's mom replied.

Alex, Hans' manager and his father leave and return to work.

The situation is back in order.

Meanwhile, elsewhere, a girl receives a call.

"Kanaya! Isn't tomorrow the weekend? Go home, there's something I want to talk to you about" haven't had time to say hello, mother's voice has echoed from inside the phone.

"Why? Just talk on the phone, I'll listen to him. What's up?" kanaya replied casually. He was busy chewing his food so greedily that he made a sound that was not so clear.

"Are you eating something?" ask the mother across there.

"Yes. I just got my breakfast and lunch today" Kanaya explained bluntly. He chews so noisy.

Hearing his daughter's overly honest speech made her instantly rise in blood. "Are you crazy! Why are you eating at this hour. Are you tired of living!" objurgation.

Kanaya, who had gotten used to this kind of situation, immediately kept her posel away from her ears. Mother's loud voice could clearly break her eardrum later. And he immediately grumbled.

"No. I was so busy with my urgent work. I don't have to worry, I can hang in here"

"If it's really urgent but health is more important. What tasks are you doing on the weekend anyway? Don't let me see you like an electric pole. That's so ugly. Do you understand?"

"I understand mom. But I want to talk to you about something, say."

"Can't! This is a very important conversation. I can't talk about it over the phone. Never mind, I'm waiting for you at home. We're talking at home,"

"What's so important to me that I should go home? I can't, I'm very busy right now. I have some work to do for next week. So, I can't go home" Kanaya argued.

"I'm telling you this is so much more important because it's about your family's fate. All right, if you keep insisting on refusing it. Just wait for your funeral photos to arrive on your phone today!" threaten the mother with determination to persuade her daughter. There was something she said to persuade Kanaya to make her daughter feel threatened. And she knew her mother was the one who never messed with her words.

"Mothers. Why do you talk like that. It's very scary. Don't talk like that anymore. That's not funny at all, ma'am" Kanaya replied in her heartwarming voice.

"Who told you to be an unfilial child to parents? Is your job more important than your sickly mother, huh! What a kid today is like this! Well, I really don't believe this"

"It's not like that, ma'am. All right, I get it. It will be an effort to go home" said Kanaya who was forced to give up and not extend the problem with her mother because she knew it would never end, and the ends of the mother were always right. It blows the air. Not an appetite to eat.

"Go home tonight. I'll make you your favorite soup for our dinner. Didn't you miss your mother's cooking so much?"

"Yes I understand. I wanted so badly to eat it that it carried away a dream at once."

"really? Then come. I'll wait for you to come home"

"Yes. I-i understand. See you later,"

"alright. Take care of yourself"

"Ready!"

The conversation ended perfectly. And sure enough, the conversation ended with Kanaya's defeat.
