Alexander
Chapter 5

"Married." Ayuning said as Alex was already sitting in front of him.

Alex casually sipped his black coffee in front of him.

"Until when will you live alone."

"Mom, I'm not alone. I have you and most importantly I have Molki and Mora."

"Don't just think about your kids. But think of yourself too. So marry me."

Alex just smiled faintly in response to his mother's remark. Because of the umpteenth time his mother always told him to get married, and how many women his mother had introduced since the death of the Sahara. Alex refuses all of her mother's choices.

"I think this conversation just got here." Alex said, standing up from his seat.

"What about that woman? Do you want to abandon the woman you've been sleeping with? The one you've taken for her virginity?" Ayuning asked, standing up, making Alex stop her steps and turn to her mother.

"I mean mother?" Alex asked who did not understand what his mother said.

"Cartic. The woman's name is Kartika. You've seized the treasure he has and you can still breathe with relief? Alex you have to take responsibility."

"Mothers.. Is this mom's plan? Did mom manage everything? Trapped me so I could sleep with that woman and marry her?"

"Mom never did anything, Alex."

"Here's mother. I don't want to talk about that woman anymore." Alex said then stepped up. But Alex's footsteps stopped when the mother spoke again.

"What if this happens to Mora?"

"Mother.." Alex did not accept. "Don't be like my son with him. Mora, just a little girl who doesn't know anything."

"Responsible. Because karma will always follow you if you escape your responsibility." Said the mother. Then get closer to Alex.

"Mom will arrange everything. So today this week, in this house, you're going to do a kabul ijab with Tika." The mother then left Alex who was still standing alone.

Alex clenched his hand, angry at what was happening. This time her mother managed to trap herself in order to marry another woman.

Mora closes Molki's bedroom door slowly after his omens leave his Daddy.

"Sir, daddy's Sunday is getting married. I heard it myself." Mora said while sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Ouh well brother, I heard oma say that daddy should be responsible for the woman. Brother if I may know, what did daddy do wrong? To be responsible?" Ask Mora who does not yet know the meaning of adult conversation.

"Not much to ask. It's an adult business." Answer Molki.

"Sister, can daddy's wife accept us? Or just love daddy? Or maybe he just loves daddy's money?" Mora asked Molki again.

"Nobody wants to marry without love. So I guess they might have love." Answer Molki.

"Love?" Ask Mora. "If there is love? But why did daddy reject that woman?"

"Of course." Molki answered while shaking both shoulders.

Molki glanced at his sister. Because ever since Mora entered the room, Mora continues to give questions to Molki. Molki, the cold type of man who never speaks. But the presence of Mora always makes Molki overwhelmed tablewab one by one question given by the sister.

"Sister, you know."

"No."

"Sister, I haven't told you yet."

"Not to."

"Sister Molki......" Shouting Mora with a loud voice made Molki close both ears. Then Mora irritatedly came out of Molki's room while closing the door loudly, Molki just smiled faintly at the behavior of his sister.

"Daddy.." cried Mora loudly.

"Daddy, where are you?" Mora stepped up the steps one by one towards his daddy's room.

Slowly Mora opened the room door, and put a little bit of his head in, peering into the room. Mora can see if her daddy is currently staring at the photo.

"Dad, do you miss mom?" Mora asked as he entered the room.

Alex immediately put a photo of the Sahara on the nightstand.

"Dear." Alex immediately approached Mora and wanted to hug Mora's body. But unexpectedly, Mora crossed both hands.

"Dad, I'm an adult. So don't hold me still." Mora made Alex laugh.

"Dad, do you love that woman?" Ask Mora to make Alex stop her laughter.

"Dear." Alex said, sitting next to Mora.

"Dad, are you going to forget about mom?" Now Mora's eyes began to glaze over.

"Dad, do you love that woman more than me and Molki's sister?"

"Mora.." said Alex and immediately embraced Mora's body.

Mora immediately wiped his tears and cried so badly in Alex's arms.

"Dad, I don't want to lose your affection. I don't want you to get married and then forget about me and Molki's sister."

Alex rubbed Mora's hair gently.

"Honey. Until whenpu, you guys remain number one in daddy's life. And there's no one to replace him."

"Promise?" Mora asked as he looked at Alex's face and raised his little finger.

"Promise."

Mora laughed and ran out of Alex's room. Alex immediately gasped while shaking his head to see the height of the child who he thought was adorable.
