Fungi Village Investigation

Arlan who got up straight out of the tent saw Alice who was outside.

" Go to sleep, I'll watch next." Answer Arlan. Alice nodded her head and entered the tent.

Night passed, sunrise welcomed in the morning. Alice and Arlan had cleared the tent to go straight to Fungi village.

"Since we entered the forest until now there has been no encounter with any monsters." Arlan replied to Alice.

"Yes, there's something strange about this forest." Answer Alice.

"I feel it too." Answer Arlan.

"We're going to look more at what's going on." Answer Alice.

"Yes." Yeah." Answer Arlan. Those who continue to step until they arrive in front of the border forest towards Fungi village.

"Arlan, why haven't I seen a few feet since I've seen an insect." Alice replied, stopping her steps to see the forest trees to the ground and grass.

"Totally so." Replied Arlan who also looked around but did not find any insects.

"Miss I'll go around the village first." Answer Ema.

"I'm getting curious about this village." Answer Alice. And they stepped into the village. As they entered, the gazes of the villagers looked at them so sinisterly. An unusual look.

"Why are they staring at us like that?" ask Alice.

"Don't think, we'll find a place to stay first." Answer Arlan.

The atmosphere of the village was bustling in the morning, some merchants were trading, people were going to the fields and so on.

"Excuse me, we're looking for a place to stay. Where's the inn around?" asked Arlan and the villagers just kept quiet. Suddenly came a middle-aged man with an age of about 45 years.

"What are you two doing in our village?" ask the middle-aged man.

"We came here for an adventure. Since we want to take a break on the way, we intend to stay at this place for some time." Answer Arlan.

"Find me the elder in this village, call me Mr. Agi." The answer is to introduce yourself.

"Just call me Arlan and her Alice." Arlan introduced himself.

"You can come with me at my residence. There's no lodging here." Agi replied that a friendly look invited Arlan and Alice into his house. Those who come to Agi's house and sit at the dining table and then prepared a warm water drink.

"Sorry, we can't give you a warm tea dish just warm water. Because this is the condition of our village now. We find it difficult to get food from outside and can only rely on our own garden bartering." Answer Agi.

" Oh. If you may know, why do the villagers see us like that?" ask Alice.

"They were just surprised to see a new person entering the village. Because it's been 3 years that no new people have come to the village." Answer Agi.

"But this is a place that no one else can possibly visit. And I see, this village doesn't have too many inhabitants." Answer Alice.

"You're right miss, since 10 years ago, many villagers have suffered sudden deaths without cause. Royal healers and work witches often came looking for the cause of the phenomenon but none of them found the cause. Some of them even died in this village. Therefore, I suggest for miss and master not to linger in this place. We're afraid you'll also die if you stay in this place too long." Answer Agi.

"Sudden death how?" ask Alice.

"They had symptoms of convulsions and vomiting blood before dying. Or have a skin disease." Answer Agi.

"Skin disease?" ask Alice again.

"Is there a patient like this?" ask Alice.

"Sir, take it easy. He understands the science of medicine. Maybe we can help if we're allowed." Answer Arlan.

"Not that I'm allowing. But people who have skin diseases are already isolated elsewhere from the villagers. All out of fear that the disease will be transmitted continuously." Answer Agi.

"At that time many healers had come to see, all of them could not heal him and some of the healers had contracted it and died." Answer Agi.

"It's okay, you just show me the way. I'll go there myself." Answer Alice.

"But if you've experienced the events I've described, I don't want to take responsibility for them." Answer Agi.

"Yes, I won't sue if anything happens to me." Alice answered with a stern face.

"alright. In the middle of the day, we used to deliver food to patients. You'll come with me." Answer Agi.

"good. If all that happens is done, is there no intention of the villagers to move?" ask Alice

"Not that we don't want to leave, it's just that we don't want to trouble the government and also we are afraid to pass on our disease to others" Agi replied.

"Hmmm. So you refrain from saying but hiding." asked Alice lag.

"Yes." Yeah." Arlan just nodded his head.

"You two stay in this room. I only have one room left. Is this okay?" ask Agi.

"Thank you sir. This is more than enough." Arlan answered Agi.

"Alright, you guys take a break from the long journey. I'll come back to pick you up." Answer Agi who closed the door.

"I'll sleep downstairs, Alice just sleep upstairs." Answer Arlan.

"okay." Replied Alice who did not mind anything else lived alone in the room with the man.

"Miss, can you hear me?" ask Ema.

"What's wrong?" ask Alice.

"I felt something was wrong with the waterfall pool in this village." Answer Ema.

"meaning?" ask Alice.

"I felt a monster in this water. But when I do dive I find nothing at all. So what am I supposed to do?" ask Ema.

"Keep an eye on that place. And don't forget to check somewhere else." Answer Alice.

"Well miss." Answer Ema.

"Arlan, don't you feel that the elders of this village are suspicious, even so are the villagers?" ask Alice.
