Krud deliberately gave Claude an enormous amount of magic mana. But as expected. Where the magic he gave it had absolutely no effect on him. Again where the great magic can only be absorbed by Claude's pendant. Krud smiled with satisfaction, looking at Claude who was so disappointed to know that he could not be a witch like his mother.
“You must remember this is a request I only grant once.”
“You're a fraud. Why don't you tell me that I can't be a witch. If I knew it from the beginning. Wherever I might agree to help you.”
“I already offered for another request but you won't listen to me.”
“You very evil angel, this way I will remain a useless person forever.”

Claude was very sad and disappointed because he could not become a witch as expected.
Krud felt sorry to see the foolish Claude abandoned in such a terrible world. Eventually he decided to turn Claude into another figure who might be a good fit for him.
“Alright then I will turn you into a schemer.”
“People like me being a schemer are completely useless, is the angel of the present age his brain has been reduced.”

Krud uses his powers to turn Claude into a master tactician, be it a war strategist or some other strategist. Since Krud knew that any power if the one using it was a fool like Claude, everything would be in vain. By giving him a bit of thinking ability, perhaps Claude would be someone who could survive in this cruel world.
“I want to know why you want me to be a schemer.”
“You are basically very strong, the proof is that you can defeat Espen, without your help maybe I should wait for him a few decades more.”
“Some tens of years? How many years have you waited?”
