4. Omens

Gunawan rejected the offer of the mysterious buyer. He chose to hear Mbah Paing's speech to put the Moringa tree in front of his house as a penantiduh or santet.

Not long Gunawan's phone rang. Lastri, his house assistant, told Rusmini that his wife was screaming in pain.

"Yes, I told Anas to water from Mbah Paing" replied Gunawan

The man then asked Anas to deliver mineral water to his wife.

"Nas, please drink this water to Mom. You have to take care of him and keep him until I get home" Gunawan said

"Well sir,"

"I will meet Mbah Paing and take him home. So please take care of my wife as long as I'm not around,"

"Well sir,"

Anas immediately turned on his motorcycle towards Gunawan's residence.

Once there, he immediately headed to Rusmini's room.

Lastri looked happy when she saw Anas coming.

"Thank God Mas Anas came, now change to take care of Mom, I want to continue cleaning" said Lastri

"Yes, mbak,"

Anas then sat down beside Rusmini who was moaning in pain while holding her stomach.

Anas smiled then gave the mineral water he brought to Rusmini.

"Now the mother drinks this water first yes let the pain go," said Anas

Rusmini took a bottle of mineral water from Anas' hand. Instead of drinking it, Rusmini threw the water on the floor.

"Why did you dump Mom?" asked Anas with a tense face

Rusmini smiled sinisterly looking at Anas' panicked face.

"I knew that all the Gunawan family would die, so I had no use drinking that water. Sopo sing kepati will die (Who is bound must die)," said Rusmini with eyes bulging and Tongue moved to the right and left as if to pounce on Anas alive.

Anas frowned when he saw the change in Rusmini's face.

Now the woman's face is getting pale like a corpse. Anas realizes that the woman is not Rusmini Gunawan's wife. He knew there was another figure who controlled the woman until it turned into a terrible figure.

Just as Anas was about to leave, she suddenly held him back.

He patted her on the shoulder to make her stop immediately and undo her intention to leave.

*grep!

Anas turned his body. He gathered the courage to look at the woman's face with a forced smile.

"Mother why?" ask Anas

Rusmini did not respond. He just stared at the young man in front of him. His gaze deepened until he moved his tongue back to the right and left.

Anas's face immediately shrunk when he saw Rusmini's response.

"It's not wrong, he must be possessed." Anas murmured in the heart.

It knows for sure how the characteristics of possessed people, and one of them is like Rusmini.

How am I supposed to be Dad?

Anas tried to remove Rusmini's hand from his shoulder. But Rus pushed him until he fell to the floor.

"Oh, my ass!" anas cried out in pain

As Anas tried to get up, he saw the shadow of Rusmini walking closer to him.

Anas looked up at Rusmini who was standing in front of him.

The woman immediately attacked Anas, he tried to claw Anas and continued to attack him.

Luckily Anas always managed to avoid Rusmini's attacks.

When he failed to attack Anas, he now stared at the knife lying on the table.

Anas didn't think Rusmini would take the knife to attack him.

Anas' hand was injured after being hit by a knife cut.

"What do you really want?" ask Anas

This time Anas must fight alone against the possessed Rusmini.

#The House of Mbah Paing

The scent of incense burst into the house of the board.

White smoke began to fly looking for a gap to disappear. While Gunawan seemed to sit cross-legged in front of Mbah Paing who was still meditating.

The old woman seemed to close her eyes while chanting incantations.

"Now, there must be one of the Gunawan Family Members who died" Mbah Paing said

Gunawan shuddered in horror at the old woman's words.

Mbah Paing instantly opened his eyes.

"We need to get to your house before it's too late!" mbah Paing

He hurriedly woke up followed by Gunawan.

The two then immediately climbed onto the car driven by Purnomo.

Upon arrival at the house, Gunawan hurriedly entered the house. He was surprised when he saw his moringa tree was no longer in front of his house.

"Where's the moringa tree!" gunawan panicked

"This is a bad sign, find it!" mbah Paing

Gunawan and Purnomo immediately looked for him. They went around the house looking for the tree.

"There is no Mbah!" said Purnomo tergopoh-gopoh meet Mbah Paing.

Mbah Paing stared fixedly into the house.

He is shocked to see Rusmini strangling Anas.

"What are you doing Rus!" gunawan ran to his wife

"Dino Iki will be ono sing kepati (Today must be dead bada)," said Rusmini

Gunawan immediately retreated to hear the words of his wife. He immediately glanced at Mbah Paing who was preparing to pull out his inheritance.

*dreet, dreet, dreet!

With trembling hands Gunawan raised his phone which kept ringing.

"Hello?"

Cold sweat began to wet Gunawan's forehead. His eyes seemed round when he heard the caller's words.

*Preation!!

Gunawan's body fell to the floor and his cell phone fell.

"What happened Gun?" tanya Mbah Paing approached her

"Mas Pras is dead" Gunawan said, squeezing his pants

Clear crystals began to wet his face, showing his sadness upon hearing the news of his only son dying.

Rusmini laughed out loud as she saw her husband sobbing.

Mbah Paing directly slapped Rusmini's face with moringa leaves until the woman fell down.

He then told Anas to move Rusmini to his bed.

"Sing wis die ojo in cry, sing important saiki kowe kudu strong (The dead do not cry, the important thing now you have to be strong)," Mbah Paing patted Gunawan's shoulder

The man slowly woke up to help Purnomo.

Meanwhile Mbah Paing seemed to wipe the face of Rusmini with water that had been given a prayer.

"Now that the shipper of witchcraft is on the move, so we can't stay still, I'll try to figure out which shaman can treat your wife. As long as I'm gone you can ask Jono for help, I'm sure he can take my place to take care of your wife" Mbah Paing said

"Good Mbah,"

Mbah Paing looked at Anas so closely.

"Tomorrow there's a ritual on the river, I hope you can attend. At least you should send someone to replace you if you can't attend. Do not let the citizens get angry again because you did not come" Mbah Paing said

Gunawan then escorted Paing when the woman was about to go home. Not to forget he gave a chocolate envelope containing money as a reward for his services that have helped calm Rusmini.
