Episode 34: Samsul's Parents Worry About Samsul
After a journey of approximately three hours, Samsul arrived in front of an old house that he usually referred to as "home home". As an only child, the house has always been a place to feel the warmth of the family. However, this time the atmosphere felt different as he entered the house.
I limped into my house which was pocked by Dira and Panca.
In an instant, Samsul felt the touch of his mother's disillusioned hand on my shoulder. Suddenly, his voice rang out loudly filling the room, "Samsul, what are you doing ? What's with your leg Sul ? You just disappeared without any news, making us very worried!"
There was no smile on his mother's face, only a look of annoyance and consternation. His father was also present next to him, with a look full of disappointment. They both looked very angry.
"Why did you do it, Samsul? You think you can't just tell us? What's on your mind?" his father's voice sounded sharp, filled with annoyance.
Samsul felt his heart pounding. She did not expect that her parents would be so angry. They always respect their freedom and decisions. However, this time, he felt such deep disappointment in their voices.
Similarly, with his friends, they were silent a thousand languages after seeing the response of his parents Samsul so disappointed in Samsul's attitude.
Then Joko tries to communicate to Samsul's parents intending to defend Samsul but is immediately stopped by his mother.
"Shut up! What would you say to defend yourself?" Samsul's mother stopped every possible defense from Samsul and his friends.
Samsul's face turned tense. He felt confusion and frustration within him. Her heart raged, but she knew that a fight with her parents would not solve the problem. Instead, he chose to try to understand their feelings.
"Sik, you have to realize that this family is worried and watching you. You can't just disappear and make us not know what happened to you!" his father said in a voice that still sounded angry.
Dira then tried to whisper the words to me "Honey, try to explain well to your parents yes. Maybe they're just worried"
I also immediately responded back to the words that have been said by my girlfriend "Yes, baby, I tried yes"
Samsul sighed deeply, trying to control his emotions. He knew that they were right, he could not ignore the feelings of his parents. He should pay attention to their worries.
"Dad, Mom, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to worry you guys. I just need some time to clear my head. I feel stuck in a routine and want to explore the world out there and I also want to help the people I can" Samsul tried to explain in a soft voice
Samsul's parents looked at each other. Their expressions of disappointment began to fade slightly, replaced by relief and gentleness. They realize that Samsul's desire to explore the world is natural for a young man.
Samsul's mother tried to hold back her nearly spilled tears. "Samsul, we just want what's best for you. We are concerned about your safety and happiness. Please understand our feelings."
Samsul looked at his parents with love. He felt guilty for hurting their feelings. Nonetheless, he did not want to disappoint himself by ignoring his desire to explore the world out there.
"Dad, Mother, I understand how you feel. And I am so grateful for the worry and love you gave me. But, please understand that I also need to find my true self out there. I want to learn and grow as an independent individual."
Samsul's father nodded slowly. He understands that his son is already growing and needs to follow the call of his heart. "Samsul, we support you. But, please keep in touch with us and let us know of your whereabouts. We have to take care of each other and care for each other."
Samsul was relieved to hear words of understanding from his parents. He promises to keep in touch with them and tell them about his travels and experiences out there. He knew that their relationship as a family was precious and irreplaceable.
A few hours later, the atmosphere in the house began to calm down. Samsul sits with his parents in the living room, sharing stories and laughter. They talk about the past, dreams and hopes for the future. All worries and disappointments are slowly replaced by happiness and understanding.
Samsul's father asked May "It seems like I just saw you ? What is your name ?"
With a smile she humbled herself before my father "Hello om, my name is May. I'm Samsul's classmate in this 4th semester"
My father nodded after May spoke so "Oh so, I deserve to have just seen Adinda hehehe"
"Yes Om, I happen to be in a class with Dira, Joko, Panca and Samsul" May said kindly.
"That's it, yes already. You guys are going on vacation, right ?"
Me, May, Panca, Dira and Joko were compact after my father spoke so "Thank you!!!"
"Well then, please go to your room above. For Dira and May please you sleep in the room just for room efficiency" Himbau my father.
"Okay Om" said the two of them.
Finally they went out of the living room, they scattered with their joy.
When heading to each room May poked Dira's hand, Dira turned to look towards May. Then she asked May "What's May ?"
"Gini Dir, it turns out that Samsul's parents are very good yes. The cave is so envious of you Dir."
"Hehehe yes May, btw you envy why ?" Ask Dira seriously.
"Yes cave envious because you dapet men as handsome Samsul, se good Samsul, his parents were also considerate and affectionate with us" he replied
"Hehehe thank you, lucky cave dapet Samsul. He was willing to sacrifice for the cave. Uh, let's go to the room. We just run over there." Bring Dira.
"Yuk, o yes Dir please take care of Samsul yaa." Hope May
"Yes May, the cave will be dear and take care of him really. If so" Dira calms May down.
Finally the two of them went back to the room, while the male party had already reached inside their respective rooms.
After walking for about 45 minutes, the two of them finally reached the room. Their room is located between Samsul and Joko's room.
Dira as the key holder opened the room door, after a while later the door was open and they went straight into the room.
