Adnan followed Oscar in one direction. He had never been in this corridor before despite having been in Cosmo for many years, even since he had studied military here. Oscar's back was firmly fixed, walking some distance in front of him, while several officers were by their side.
They stopped in front of an iron door whose color was in harmony with the color of the surrounding walls. Adnan followed Oscar and the others went behind the door. When one of the officers pressed a button on the side of the wall, all the lights were on and it was clear that it was an empty corridor.
Adnan's forehead shriveled further, making a no-man's fold. He went back to explore the empty corridor along with the others. Until finally, they stopped again when it had been some time running. They went back into a room that connected it with several doors leading to other rooms.
From here, Adnan learned that Oscar and the officers had taken him to a prison. Yep. Prisons in Cosmo are different from bui on Earth in general. Here in the design with white paint, even the lights are similar in color. In the end, the blue-eyed young man's steps came to a halt when he saw a young man from behind a glass in one of the cells.
“Erick?” muttered.
Adnan placed his hand on the glass window of the cell. Neutranya probed oemuda who was sitting dumbstruck in the corner of the room.
“He knows all the information about Hubert during this time,” Oscar said. “And most likely, Hubert gave him information that we could not find anywhere.”
Adnan looked towards the brother. “How can you think like that?”
Oscar took a breath. “If you want peace, then you must seek information all the way to its roots,” he replied as he looked at the young man beside him. “Everything that is contrary or that is in line with the existing mindset, should be eliminated and replaced with a new and more reasonable system.”
“What do you mean?” the blue-covered young man. He stood facing a different man for several years
with it. “You ... You want to change everything?”
They were both locked in silence. Master the empty atmosphere there.
“You should have known my wish from the beginning, Adnan,” Oscar said with a straight look at his sister.
“You should also understand why Father and Mother dumped me since childhood.”
Adnan's jaw is back to harden. The dilemma that has dominated it since then is now starting to be answered one by one.
“You ...”
Oscar just sniffed next to the eyebrows. The actual reaction was enough for Adnan to find as long as he
know that man.
“I'll promise you anything. Whatever you want, as long as you want to work with me,”
Adnan's breath was blocked. A thousand times until his chest felt tight. After all, the pettiness was clearly visible on Oscar's face this second and it couldn't fool him.
“After Anthony failed to visit the base, I will make him also have to account for the crimes committed by the system that he and his side have done many years ago. Everything must be destroyed .. and reborn with a better system than
previous.”
The speech that Oscar aired just became a rock that hit Adnan's mindset instantly.
Change systems? Is he crazy?
The pair of blue eyes looked at Adnan meaningfully. “If you want, we can find out the truth in
behind the creation of Cosmo and also the two Clibanarii. Things that you might think are just inanimate objects and used as ordinary weapons, in fact hold a lot of secrets from all the conspiracies that have been circulating even since you were a child,” he continued. “True peace, actually not started since they were created. Real peace, starting from now.”
Oscars ….
Adnan can't think clearly. The words of Oscar just now seemed to damage the way he had seen the world all this time. To all peace and all things that he considered would be able to realize his dreams and freedom.
“I talked to your friend earlier,” said Oscar. “But he won't give me any information at all.
Hence, I need your help.”
Saliva Adnan was gulped, soaking his throat that had dried up since.
“Please, dig up as much information as possible from him,” the man said as he placed a device in Adnan's ear lobe. The tool is small enough to not look at all because it is covered by strands of hair of the young man. “I'll leave you guys while here. I'll take care of your girlfriend.”
The cell door opened, before Adnan finally stepped in. He turned around for a moment and found that the man had abandoned him. The door closed a few seconds later, leaving a void that was wrapped up with all the raging feelings in the young man now.
“Adnan?”
The young man looked up and smiled faintly. His blue eyes could not hide that feeling. So many monsters are fighting, even feasting in his brain now. He could only turn around and take a long breath.
“Welcome, Erick.”
