Chapter 29: The Threat of Grim

Still with the state of Rizu which is quite terrible after being hit by Arni to bounce into a tree. Now it appears that the girl is starting to point the Sniper Rifle in front of Rizu, preparing to shoot him.

Damnit. If it is true what Suda told Astan before, then what Arni wants to do is really not kidding.

“Arni—.”

“Coba saja kalian membandingkan diri kalian pada mereka yang sepangkat atau yang berada di Pangkat Perak ke atas. Apa kalian masih berani?! Coba saja! Paling juga tunduk-tunduk menjilati kaki para pemburu Pangkat Perak ke atas sambil memohon pengampunan pada mereka, atau enggak malah cari muka.”

“Dan lagi, kalian malah mempermasalahkan soal Score dan Score Bonus yang diambil oleh Grim. Benar kata Bang Astan! Itu semua disebabkan karena kalian kurang cepat berburu, kalian sebenarnya payah! Justru Grim ‘lah yang lebih hebat dari kalian! Dia mau mempertanggung jawabkan kesalahan yang belum tentu salahnya! Dia mau mengganti rugi dengan menyerahkan semua hasil buruannya pada kalian, para pemburu hina! Grim adalah pria sejati!”

Grim terpaku dengan setiap kata-kata dari Arni. Sontak membuat hatinya tersentuh, tak pernah merasa seperti apa rasanya dibela oleh seseorang.

Selama ini Grim hanya dianggap sebagai pelengkap sebuah Squad. Faktanya, dengan Bug yang ia miliki, Grim dipaksa untuk menghabisi musuh-musuh sampai sekarat lalu membiarkan pemburu lain melakukan serangan terakhir agar mendapatkan Score Bonus lebih banyak.

Namun seiring ia naik level, tentu Grim jadi lebih kuat dan tanpa sengaja menghabisi musuh-musuh Tingkat Easy hanya dalam sekali serang. Atau ketika ia ingin membantu, daya serangannya terlalu tinggi, sehingga membuat musuh langsung tewas walau Status Kesehatan musuh masih tinggal lebih dari setengah, hal itu yang menyebabkan ia disangka mencuri Score Bonus.

Sempat Astan menoleh pada Grim yang berada di sampingnya. Sontak pria berambut jingga itu menjaga jarak, jijik sendiri ketika melihat air mata keluar dari mata biru Grim.

Astan is confused with Grim. Why child? A little moved, a little moved. Surprising of his life?

Rizu sharpened her gaze to Arni, gritting her teeth, appearing emotional when attacked through every insult and insult.

“You…. How dare you—.”

“Arni!”

Arni earnestly cocked the Sniper Rifle and started aiming for Rizu's head.

“Arni, don't sell—.”

Instant warn, “Arni, the Hack Ability!”

When Arni looked back, he saw one hand Panka electrified many circuits. Apparently, Panka hacked Arni's weapon system. While the other hand held a laser gun, ready to shoot the girl.

“Because of you, sia— Agh!”

Just as Panka was about to pull the trigger, his front body was instantly slashed using a sharp weapon.

It was not Astan who did it. He had intended to help Arni, but Grim slashed Panka's body first with a scythe until it bled. Now, he was standing on his back to Arni, protecting the girl from any possible impromptu attacks again.

“Agh…! Ssh...”

Panka fell down trembling while holding a long wound resulting from Grim's incision, his blood also poured out quite a lot of the wound.

The quite severe wound was caused due to the Grim Martial Ability Bug continuing to be active, so the blond man easily gave such severe injuries to Panka who was a Bronze Rank hunter.

“You...” Panka grinned as she looked at Grim. “Dare also babu like you injure—.”

“Enough.”

Panka made goosebumps, her eyes widened with shaky irises. Not usually Panka saw Grim look flat expression with glittering blue eyes sharp. Looking at Panka Hina while twirling the blood-scattered scythe casually in her hand.

The scythe glint and the blue eyes of the Grim clearly threatened anyone who dared to just glance at it for a moment.

Arni was stunned, but disinclined at the same time. The bespectacled blond man appears to give his own charisma when threatening Panka and trying to protect Arni. They look very different from Grim when they first meet.

Suddenly Rizu, Miza, and Panka point each of their guns at Grim and Arni. At the same time they started shooting.

“Arni!”

“Mas Grim!”

“Argh..!”
