EPS 07 THE MYSTERIOUS DUKE
Morning by noon. The people selling at the morning market had already started rolling up their wares. The market that opened at three in the morning had begun to be abandoned by its buyers. There are only retail traders who survive. Usually they will wait for the besiegers to sell the rest of their merchandise. Usually they will sell cheap leftovers rather than bring it back home.
“Be careful of people who still cursing black pants and fishing clothes are red-colored. They are usually mysterious Somawangi residents,”, a parking attendant told Pranaja and Kyai Badrussalam.
Since that morning they have arrived at the Mandiraja market, a market in the city of the district that is quite crowded. They deliberately came to track the location of the Somawangi mission. Their only destination was one, to meet Panembahan Mbah Iro, the leader of the Somawangi Tribe. According to information obtained by Andika, many Somawangi people who sell their agricultural products in the market.
“Why did you say they were mysterious people sir?” ask Andika.
The parking attendant shook his head.
“Then I don't really understand the history,” he said.
Andika slipped a hundred thousand into the pockets of the carpenter. He did it twice. And this time the carpenter nodded his head.
“Do you really not know or forget?” ask Andika.
“Oh, um. I mean now I just remembered. They are called mysterious, because no one has ever seen where the dukuh Somawangi is. I mean, the people exist but the village where they came from is never known to anyone else except themselves.”
“Did no one ever follow them?”
“Many curious people follow them, but they always disappear.”
“You mean, they're creatures that come from the supernatural realm?”
The old man before him shook his head.
“Not, they are ordinary humans, only the hamlet is like covered in supernatural power that makes invisible from the view of other humans.”
Pranaja looked at Kyai Badrussalam at a glance.
“There is also a saying that the dukuh Somawangi can only be seen by the Panembahan lineage Somawangi.”
He also reported that most of the original inhabitants of the Somawangi dukuh were farmers. They used to bring garden produce to be sold to the market. Their farm is very good. Vegetables and fruit from Somawangi better quality than other areas. And always fresh, a new sign in the quote. Another characteristic is their clothes still like to wear fishing clothes, typical of ancient clothing.
“How is Abah?” ask Pranaja.
“We just follow the Somawangi people secretly,” said the Kyai.
“Good Abah,” replied Andika while thanking the parking attendant.
Then they got back in the car, followed by the strange look of the parking attendant.
“Why do the people of the city that braids know so much about dukuh Somawangi?” he said he didn't think it out. “Bodo is very. The important thing is to get a bonus of 200 thousand hehe.”
Andika's car drove slowly down the rocky road following the steps of the Somawangi people. He's confused himself. Almost everyone who was asked about the whereabouts of the dukuh Somawangi said they did not know or had never seen it when, in fact, the people were clearly there. And suddenly he realized from his daydream, when he found the Somawangi people he followed suddenly disappeared from view.
“Eh, Abah! Where did they go?” andika asked Kyai Badrussalam who was sitting next to her. “What Abah saw?”
Kyai Badrussalam nodded his head.
“Yes, they disappeared in the fork of the road earlier.”
“I found it Abah!” his yell.
Kyai Badrussalam got out of the car. Then I walked over to Andika. Look at that path. His sharp inner eyes can see the freshly abandoned feet of their owners. And it clearly led the path that led to the back of a small hill far in front of them.
“True Andika. This path is indeed what the Somawangi people pass,” said Abah.
“Where does Abah know?”
“I recognize their tracks. The soles of the feet of the Somawangi people are wider than ordinary people.”
Andika nodded her head. Then he crouched down, faintly looking at their footprints on that slightly wet dirt road. Abah could have been, how could he know the soles of the Somawagi's feet were wider than ordinary people? her mind while smiling. Then he tried to step on the wet ground and compare it to the soles of the feet that were already there. His feet are smaller.
“Then, we will follow in this footsteps Abah?”
Kyai Badrussalam nodded his head.
“Walk behind me.”
“Any Abah.”
Their footsteps walked slowly down the path to the back of the hill. The longer the road is getting slippery and narrower. Even some have been covered in bushes omens rarely passed by people. A few moments later the path was seen again, wider and cleaner. Tapia and the strangeness felt by Andika and Kyai Badrussalam.
“Eh, I think I know this place. Isn't this the first road to the hill?” ask Andika.
Kyai Badrussalam nodded his head. Apparently from earlier they just walked around the hill and returned to their original place.
“True Andika, we just walk around.”
Andika scratched her head that was not itchy.
“We repeat once again. You look at every corner of the road we're on. If there is anything strange, you tell me,” Kyai Badrussalam said.
Andika just nodded her head. It is amazing, this dukuh Somawangi, so hidden. Like the solidification in the invisible demon country. They also walked back down the path earlier. This time slower and more carefully. The corner of Andika's eyes tried to look at every corner of the road they passed. Hm, nothing strange. Just like before, when they first passed by.
“Loh, Abah! We go back to this place again,” cried Andika.
His voice seemed choked, they walked back around the hill.
“Hm, it seems that something is hidden from us,” said Kyai Badrussalam.
Kyai Badrussalam felt that there was a magical veil covering his sense of sight. He was determined to open it. But he just cupped his hands in front of his chest, suddenly heard the sound of people talking. Kyai Badrussalam immediately grabbed Andika's hand and pulled her behind a large rock.
“Hide yourself Andika. Someone's coming,” whispered.
They hid their bodies behind a huge rock. Before long they saw two people coming, walking down the path. Wearing black knee-length pants and plain striated and heart-red taper shirts. Somawangi People! And even more surprised when Kyai Badrussalam and Andika saw the two men turn right at the end of the clean path. And their bodies were lost in that place.
Ting!
