17. Mana Gate
Yin Zhen still clearly remembered what the Soul Constellation was, a system born in the Magic World by noting one's strength. Each point displayed represented the strength one possessed, everyone in the Magic World compared their points records with others in comparison to who was stronger.
At least a few billion years ago was his last visit to the Magic World to defeat the Star God, the highest existence in the Magic World that he ended up defeating as well.
"I didn't think it turned out that Earth belonged to the Wizarding World as well. If this is the case, now I understand why there is absolutely no Qi energy on Earth, because only after the Star God opens the mana gate, then the Earth will naturally evolve by itself. The stats displayed by the Soul Screen indicated that he was at level 50, which meant that he had become a peak existence of a first-rate Soul Creature. He also saw the 'Notification Error' that the Soul Screen displayed, it was understandable considering what was inside his body was not Mana, but Qi.
Although Mana and Qi were both Magic powers, both of them had different characteristics. Mana can only increase the Magic power of its user, whereas Qi can be used to improve all sorts of aspects within its user's body. Hence the Star God created a system called Soul Constellation to be used by every inhabitant of the Magic World, where they could store Mana energy to strengthen their bodies.
Mana needed the guidance of the Soul Constellation to strengthen its user's body, very different from the Qi energy that only needed a simple boost.
"Although it was quite shocking for Earth to belong to the Magic World, but this also meant that there would be many casualties that fell after the Mana gate opened. Modern tools such as cell phones will no longer be useful because a powerful Mana wave will engulf Earth and make all beasts evolve into mutant beasts, plants are no exception as well. But unfortunately humans were different from the wild beasts and plants that naturally lived in the wild, the chances of humans being able to receive a Mana wave were quite small, as well, those who remained sane after the Mana gate opened were then lucky enough. Because generally after the Mana gate opens, the human brain cannot process external energy making it a painless zombie."
He had seen hundreds of galaxies opening Mana gates, out of the many humans living on each planet, only a thousand of them were able to withstand the Mana slowly entering their bodies. While the rest became a sea of zombies scattered in various regions.
Yin Zhen sighed slowly, "that damn old man, he probably wouldn't have thought the person who had defeated him would become one of his subjects someday."
The words were clearly meant to the Star God that he defeated several billion years ago. There was no enmity between the two, they were fighting because they only wanted to know the extent of their strength with each other.
"There's only a week before the Mana Gate opens, I'll have to gather everyone I know before it happens, or the consequences will be dire."
Yin Zhen was confident that in just one week, he could gather everyone he knew. Mei Qi, Jiang Yalan, the Jiang family, and a few others.
He himself knew very confidently, when the Mana gate touched Earth, all peace would instantly vanish and all that remained was the hell of a savage beast and the sea of zombies as well as the barrage of mutant herbs. For ordinary humans, living in the midst of such an apocalypse was more terrifying than dying, as they would find it hard to find clean food and clean water.
Meanwhile outside the Heaven Garden Hotel, Amber and the two others who were flying above the sky noticed a man who was still sitting quietly even after receiving the Soul Constellation.
Amber's normally calm countenance shriveled slightly, "did she know about the Soul Constellation earlier? How could an ordinary human remain calm after receiving the Soul Constellation? Coupled with the fact that he was the first human to know there would be chaos that befell the Earth within a week."
"Sir, did you not notice the aura around his body? I felt the thickness of Mana around him even though the Mana Gate had not yet opened. How is this possible? Is he from another galaxy that has evolved?" nangong Lingxue asked Amber.
Amber shook her head not knowing, "well, I don't know who she is either. But he was indeed a person of Earth origin, if not, the boundary formation would have denied his existence. It's better for us to observe it from a distance for now."
The small-bodied woman had seen many phenomena where many galaxies were shocked by the presence of the Soul Constellation, even to her own who was now a sixth-level Soul Creature, had once been shocked upon receiving the Soul Constellation.
He had never seen an ordinary human who remained calm even after receiving the Soul Constellation. To him, this was an awkwardness that he had to investigate further.

Note: All characters or all people on Earth will have their own Constant Note (system) once the Mana (apocalypse) gate opens. So for those of you who are anti-system story, this novel does not have a system, but the background of the apocalypse is the same journey Yin Zhen protects and rejoices Yin Mei. The reason Yin Zhen first had a Constellation Note than others, was because Amber who deliberately put her property on Earth to find who had the power of Mana in her body, and it just so happened that Yin Zhen had.
