45. Death Opponent

Watching a lump of rolling human heads above the ground covered in fresh blood made Long Ai and the others nauseous, including Jiang Yalan and Hu Lian, but they were both calmer than Long Ai's group.

Only Yin Zhen and Hao Ran remained calm looking at the scene, as if it was an ordinary sight.

Yin Zhen nodded his head quite satisfied with Hao Ran's firm demeanor, he said, "awesome. You remained calm even after killing Shi Ying who was a human. Your mentality is strong and firm, I like your attitude."

Not many people were willing to take their fellows for granted, even though that person had killed many mutant beasts and their hands had been covered in the blood of mutant beasts. It's just that sometimes humans forget that the most difficult enemy they face is humans themselves.

Yin Zhen knew that the existence of martial skills in the cultivation rules was held due to going against his fellow man. Only humans can top the food chain.

Hao Ran turned to look at Yin Zhen, he released that white hood that splashed Shi Ying's blood. His small face and both of his white lashes are in tune with his hair and eyebrows visible. Hao Ran on the other hand just kept silent not returning his words.

Jiang Yalan and Hu Lian decided to finish off the three people in front of him as quickly as possible.

Jiang Yalan took out his magic skill to form ice which slowed down the speed of Long Ai's group. Hu Lian who saw the situation was on his side, immediately moved to attack the opposing group.

Hu Lian herself was at level 13, her level was the same as Jiang Yalan. Even so if Jiang Yalan and Hu Lian fought, the chances of Hu Lian winning were higher. Not because Jiang Yalan was weak, but his magic skills were limited and could only be used a few times, even though he could use other skills, it would not do great damage and just throw away his strength. But of course the advantage of a Mage will be seen when he is at a high level.

When Hu Lian and Jiang Yalan were at level 50 later, the chances of Jiang Yalan winning would be greater.

"Critical attack!" hu Lian shouted as she unsheathed the axe she carried towards Long Ai.

His high Attack and Strength stats made it easy to destroy the defense of Long Ai's group. The next move, he was aiming for Ning Meng who was the weakest among them but also the support system that helped the opposing team the most.

"They're both strong!" jian Buyao was bluffing his teeth. They finally realized that the outcome of this battle was defeat.

Jiang Yalan who though did not take too much action, moved both of his hands. Sacrificing more than half his Mana points, he managed to make 10 ice spears float in the air which pointed straight towards Long Ai's team.

"Hu Lian, now!"

As soon as Jiang Yalan saw the many gaps caused by his attack just now, he immediately told Hu Lian to instantly finish them off.

Hu Lian who realized that immediately darted forward and relied on the usual axe to behead the mutant beast, she cut off Long Ai's body parts, she said, Jian Buyao and Ning Meng became two pieces, which caused his clothes to be filled with splashes of fresh blood.

"Well... Huh..."

Seeing the three corpses with their bodies split apart did not make Hu Lian and Jiang Yalan feel satisfied, instead, they felt it was ironic to kill a fellow human.

"We made it.." Jiang Yalan said weakly, his body instantly slumped as soon as he realized what he was doing.

Yin Zhen also sighed seeing Hu Lian and Jiang Yalan weaken. He understood the reason why the two of them were dissatisfied after defeating his opponent. Because he had also felt it trillions of years ago.

"Hao Ran, since now you are a part of my people, I will not be disinclined by you. Command all the armies here and hang your former leader's head before them. Show them who is the leader of this camp right now," Yin Zhen said as he looked at Hao Ran calmly.

Hao Ran nodded his head briefly and then covered his face with his white hood. In an instant, his figure simply disappeared from before him.

Yin Zhen turned to glance at Hu Lian and Jiang Yalan, "the two of you can return to the encampment now. I'll take care of the rest." He knew that Jiang Yalan and Hu Lian needed calm for now, so he would not force them to work.

Half an hour later, all the army soldiers gathered right in front of Shi Ying's central house. As they all saw Shi Ying's head hanging in front of them, their bodies shuddered in fear as well as wondering what was going on.

Some of those who participated in the battle had already guessed that there would be a change of leader.

Jiang Yalan and Hu Lian on the other hand had returned to the Yin Zhen encampment, leaving only Yin Zhen and Hao Ran.

Seeing all the army troops gathered in front of him, Yin Zhen slightly nodded his head in satisfaction. Although the number of soldiers was only in the range of 80 people, it was more than enough to operate war equipment such as firearms and tanks.

Yin Zhen walked before everyone calmly, he then said calmly but his voice could be heard by everyone using the help of his mana points.

"As you all see, your leader, or rather your former leader, Shi Ying, has died. So did Long Ai, Jian Buyao and Ning Meng. The three of them I got rid of. All of you may have predicted what I will do next, and as you might expect, I will acquire this territory under my leadership. I can't promise to be a good leader, but I'll make sure everyone's going to prosper. Some arrangements will also be changed from now on, one of which is that men are not allowed to rape girls or women, unless both of them want to do so. If anyone breaks this rule, death will be the basic punishment of all of you."

After a short speech, Yin Zhen sauntered away from the presence of all the soldiers and asked Hao Ran to bring order to all of them. He also granted authority to Hao Ran to kill anyone who opposed him.

When all the army troops who were all men listened to Yin Zhen's speech, some of them felt disappointed and unacceptable. Especially regarding the rules by which men are not allowed to enslave or rape a woman.

"What the fuck?! We all risked our lives by killing many mutant beasts, but we did not receive any payment. If we can't have fun with girls, why do we keep protecting them? Aren't they the ones who live too well?"

"Right, I'm against this rule!"

"Hey, what are you saying? Do you want your daughter and wife raped by another man? I don't think the man's words were wrong. Even though the rules of the state no longer apply and social norms are destroyed, it does not mean that we can be arbitrary toward others."

"Shut up! Only a weakling like you would say that!"

Suddenly the heads of the two soldiers who opposed Yin Zhen's words separated from his body and rolled on the ground. When the bodies of the two soldiers collapsed, everyone saw Hao Ran who was somehow behind them while holding a bloodied dagger in his hand.

Hao Ran in his baritone voice said coldly, "if any of you want to do such a despicable thing again, I will give you a free ticket to meet the angel of death, how?"
