Betrayal On The Night of the Bride

Betrayal On The Night of the Bride
Part 178 ~ Serin and Arnold

After taking her children to school, Alexa returned home to rest and work on something that might fill her free time while staying at home.

Just as the woman was laying her body on the sofa to rest, the sound of the house bell rang quite loudly. Alexa glanced around hoping someone could open the door, but the house looked very quiet.

"Huh, I don't know who's meeting at this hour" muttered Alexa. The woman got up from her seat to open the main door.

"You?"

"Sorry to interrupt Lexa's time, but can I come in?"

Despite the doubt Alexa still nodded her head, couldn't it not be that she was driving away guests just because of her mistakes in the past? Over the past 6 years, everything has changed a lot.

"How are you?"

"Well, how are you?" ask Alexa back to her cousin.

The woman who had visited her house early in the morning was none other than Serin. I don't know what the woman's purpose is so that she visits after Sean goes to the office.

"Much better and maybe a little sane." Serin laughed insipidly to eliminate the awkwardness that suddenly reached him.

The arrival of the woman was nothing but to apologize for all the wrongs she had done 6 years ago. Hearing the story of his parents who say Sean and Alexa must suffer because of his actions, making Serin haunted by guilt.

"I'm sorry Lexa. It should have been 6 years ago that I wasn't obsessed with your husband and ended up hurting the people you care about. Again forgive me." Sesal Serin from the bottom of his day.

Alexa flinching in her place, had long since the woman heard news about Serin's exit from the mental hospital, even knowing that Arnold married Serin because of an arranged marriage. But it doesn't even cross Alexa's heart that Serin will meet her this soon.

"Lexa you want to forgive me, right?"

Alexa put on her smile. "Why not? I forgave you 6 years ago in that old villa Serin. But I'm sorry I haven't been able to accept your presence in my life. Maybe not just me but Sean as well."

"No problem Lexa, I came just to apologize and make peace with my pretty dark past. You don't have to worry about anything, after our meeting I'm leaving."

Serin got up from his seat while smiling sincerely at Alexa. The woman and her husband planned to leave Indonesia, but before leaving Serin met everyone he had ever hurt.

"Be careful" said Alexa.

"Can I hold you for a moment?"

Alexa again nodded her head, then Serin walked closer and hugged Alexa's body.

"I'm sorry about Lexa again. I'm sorry I hurt your heart, too, Sean. I'm grateful your household is okay."

"May you live happily with Arnold and be blessed with an angel. May our meeting someday be no more awkward between us." Alexa stroked Serin's shoulders which began to shake.

Maybe Serin was crying in Alexa's arms for being so guilty.

After sharing and forgiving each other, Serin finally said goodbye to Alexa and met her husband who had been waiting outside the house.

Being married without love does not make Arnold and Serin like strangers, especially Arnold whose mature attitude is also loving can compensate for Serin's occasional emotions if his desires are not as expected.

"Have you?" arnold asked as he opened the door for Serin.

"Hm, we go to papa's grave before we go."

"Ready, mom is waiting for us too." Arnold ruffled Serin's hair affectionately.

Despite receiving an arranged marriage due to Griya's request, Arnold never did a bad Serin. Even when angry, Arnold never insulted his madman wife.

Accepting his life's destiny, that's what Arnold did. Especially when the woman he loved officially became his sister-in-law.

"Ah yes I'll drive to Arya's sister's house after coming home from the tomb, do you mind?"

"Not at all, I also want to meet mama." Serin smiled sincerely. Their marriage was almost 2 months old, but Serin never visited the Arnold family home.

Not because of pride, but shame because she was a girl who had been crazy, very incomparable to Arnold. In addition to being handsome, kind, the man was also full of responsibility.
