Black Hero

Black Hero
Gin Town

Running in the middle of the vast plains was the road leading to the north.

Although it was called a road, it was more of a path that had been paved into a highway.

A single silhouette rushed down this precipitous path at an unthinkable speed just how bad the treatment was. A black box with four wheels and seven passengers sat in it.

Me, Laura, Riska, Rina, Lilith, Misaki and Brull. We broke through the uneven road at a speed that was many times faster than when going to the Agate kingdom. Brull easily drove seventy kilometers per hour. With nothing to hamper mana, Brull is able to power the car at full speed.

"Huh." I let out a long sigh of fatigue after the incident in the guild that shook my heart.

"Zen, are you still thinking about that?" Ask Brull.

"A little bit, but right now my mood is really bad. I'm so lazy to do something."

Laura immediately hugged me and stroked my head, and it made Rina, Riska and Lilith feel jealous of Laura sitting next to me.

"Ah, cheating!"

"If it wasn't for losing a suit I wouldn't have let Zen sit with this Ice Man."

"Darling, you're flirty."

Lilith, Rina and Riska looked at me intently as if their gazes could kill me at any moment.

I could feel Laura's big soft chest on my cheek, it felt so soft and warm it made me very comfortable.

"Is your mood improving now?" Ask Laura.

"Yes, thank you."

...****************...

"Well, today's not a clue as to where you're going, Romi..." Walking miserably on the main street of the city of Gin was none other than the summoned teacher, Lucy. His usually cheerful attitude was nowhere to be seen. Currently in torment for worry.

"Mom Lucy, don't be so sad. We still don't know what might happen. She's gonna be okay."

"Yes, Lucy. Don't think too much about the worst-case scenario, it makes you less focused on what you have to do. Besides, Kifa is a great witch. Even if he were to experience something bad, he would not be easy to beat up."

Yumi and Dave both try to cheer Lucy up. Knights and other students stood nearby. They also reveal their attention to Lucy.

Three weeks have passed since one of Lucy's students, Romy Kifa, disappeared. Lucy and the others have put all their efforts into searching for her, but have yet to find a single clue.

The words of comfort from her students did not lessen Lucy's mental anguish. In fact, they make it worse. Regardless of whether she got caught up in the incident or chose to eliminate herself, Lucy was still worried.

But he should not let worries arise, because he had the remaining students still caring about him. Lucy took a deep breath and gently slapped her cheek.

"Everyone, I'm sorry for worrying you. You're correct. Sitting here while wringing my hands will not produce anything. Kifa is a skilled witch, so I'm sure she'll be fine. We just have to believe he's safe and do everything we can to find him, but first, we need dinner! We can't find him on an empty stomach." Obviously he was just forcing himself to be cheerful, but his students still obediently followed his advice. Dave and the other knights watched with smiles on their faces.

The bell rang loudly when Lucy opened the door of their inn. It was the most luxurious inn in the city of Gin, moon wind.

The first floor of the inn serves as a pub, and serves some of the best rice dishes.

"If there's anything you need? Don't hesitate to ask me."

"Oh, thank you, mr. owner."

Fros, owner of moon wind. He stood with his back straight, but his gaze was soft, his gray white hair neatly combed to the right.

"The food is so good, we are healed by the food you give us every day." Lucy answered cheerfully.

"I'm glad you enjoyed it." Fros said, his smile widening.

However, a moment later his expression became blurred. Such an apologetic expression did not match her gentle face. Lucy stops eating and pays close attention to Fros.

"Actually, I'm very sorry to say this .. but, today is the last day we can serve food."

"Huh!? We can't enjoy this anymore!?"

Yumi screamed in surprise. He really likes food.

"Yes, I'm very sorry for the inconvenience. However, our certain materials are up ... normally, we make sure to keep a lot of stock to avoid such problems ... However, this last month the mountains are getting more and more dangerous and few adventurers are going to pick up the materials we need. In fact, a few days ago, a group of highly ranked adventurers went to the mountains to investigate the cause. Since the day no one wants to take the spices."

"mrs ... What is the cause of the mountain so much more dangerous?"

"Report says that there are currently many demons popping up."

"That must be worrying..."

Lucy furrowed her brows. Yumi and the other students exchanged glances.

"Sorry, this isn't something to talk about when you're enjoying your meal." Fros said in an apologetic tone."

"However, I'm sure this will soon subside."

"Why are you so sure?"

"Actually, some new guests came tonight looking for a room. It seemed like they were an adventurer here to investigate. I heard they once killed two four-armed demons, so I'm sure they are quite strong. I'm sure they'll be able to figure out the cause of all this trouble."

Lucy and the other students did not really understand the importance of the statement. But Dave the other knights muttered with appreciation.

Lucy looked at the knights with a puzzled expression. However, before anyone explained, they approached the sounds coming from the stairs. Two men and five women. One of the girls looked to one of the men. Instead of explanation, Fros said:

"Talk about the devil. There's them. Lord knight if you want to talk to them, now is the chance."

"I saw. But they sound very young. Are there gold-ranked adventurers this young?"

Dave and the other knights were scratching in confusion. None of the golden-sweat adventurers they knew were that young.

Their voices grew louder as they approached.

Eventually they become close enough for Lucy and the others to understand their conversation.
