Chapter 19 - An Attack From A Friend

Bill frowned. He tried to think and find out for himself about the reason behind the anger of his friends. Until finally Bill remembered the impromptu plan he made.

"Wait, are you angry that I got the police involved? That ain't it?" guess Bill.

Instead of answering, Lexy actually threw a fist into Bill's face. This caused the man to crash onto the floor.

After getting a bump in the face from Lexy, Five pulled Bill's collar. Bill needs to get up off the floor.

"You're gonna learn a lesson! Ahhhhhh!" Five lands the bogem into Bill's stomach. His attack succeeded in making Bill stagger until it hit the closet. Made some things fall from there.

"It's my turn!" said Rick. He still had his big knife.

"Wait, hold on a second. You should at least hear my excuses first" Bill said, wiping the blood coming out of his nose.

"What's your excuse?!" hit Lexy while she's ruffled.

"That's because I know that you guys are great villains. Police chases are a small thing for you. And my guess is one hundred percent right. Especially when you see Joseph Owens face the news about your jeep burning!" obviously Bill is long.

"Public." Lexy answered immediately.

"Yes, public." Ron confirmed Lexy's answer. "We need to be careful with the police. Because they can be a trigger for public knowledge against us. The more people who know, the more threatened we are." Ron immediately turned his head towards Winter and Five. They both take on a mission.

Before moving on, Ron's gaze shifted to Lexy. "You! Maybe this time you can come with me on an important mission" he said, pointing his index finger at Lexy.

"Me?" Lexy pointed at her own chest. He's feeling happy. Because only this time there are other members invited to do important missions besides Winter and Five.

"Good choice, Boss! Because if you choose Bill to come, then I'll back off." Winter raised both of his hands into the air.

"Me too!" say Five with a cynical look to Bill. The man could only snort while turning his eyes panted.

Ron, Lexy, Five, and Winter are leaving. Meanwhile, Bill tries to calm Rick and Ken by inviting them to enjoy champagne. Despite that, Rick and Ken's faces continued to frown.

"Come on, I'm sorry for my mistake. If anything happens, I promise I'll let you kill me" Bill said.

Ken squinted his eyes. "I keep that promise!" sahut while receiving a glass filled with champagne given Bill.

Rick pulled the corner of his lips upwards. He prefers to drink champagne straight from the bottle. While Rylie, since then she just sat still and watched.
