Caught in the Love of the Past

Caught in the Love of the Past
Chapter 4

Dimas knitted his eyebrows together, he was astonished to see Fitri suddenly apologizing from him.

"What's wrong?" ask Dimas flat.

Dimas is still cold on Fitri, he is still upset to learn that his wife is still communicating with his ex.

Since Fitri's marriage, she has never communicated with Rayhan again, although Fitri has not changed her phone number so that Rayhan can still contact her.

"I'm sorry, Bang," said Fitri again.

This time Fitri began to cry, he regretted having already dented his heart. Unintentionally his longing for the former brought disaster in his household which he struggled to fight.

"What time do you have? Suddenly apologized, strange. The husband came was greeted with a glass of water, this even made the husband confused," muttered Dimas annoyed.

Actually he was curious about the reason Fitri suddenly apologized, but because he was tired he did not want to talk much.

Dimas sat on a plastic bench on the porch of his rented house.

The rented house is small and still made of partly stone and board. A very simple house.

Seen the husband is not interested in discussing the reason for apologizing, Fitri undoes his intention to tell what has happened.

Fitri stepped into the kitchen which was only a few steps from the entrance of the rented house, the mother of one child also took a glass of water on the husband.

With a look of dislike Dimas received a glass of water given by the wife.

Fitri knew at this time the husband was still angry with her about the matter this morning. Eventually Fitri chose to prepare for the congregation's Maghrib prayer, which he had not done since he settled in the village of Dimas.

The Dimas family belongs to the lower middle family, Dimas' parents have several plots of land, but now the land has become a wilderness where rubber trees grow.

Since the price of rubber is no longer valuable, they no longer harvest rubber products, they choose to look for other businesses for daily life.

Although both parents Dimas own one hectare of palm oil, the results are small because those who are old can no longer harvest and reduce the harvest across the big road.

You could say their crops are divided in two with workers and slumbers, so they only get half of the results of the oil palm plantation.

Fitri's mother-in-law is Fitri's mother's college friend. They were so familiar, that they intended to match up their daughter's son.

Fitri's mother never judged someone from wealth but from her education so when Fitri told her relationship with Rayhan, her mother immediately refused because Rayhan was just a person who did not go to school.

Let alone him finish High School, Junior High alone can not sit in the 2nd grade because at that time Rayhan's father died so that he as the first boy must help family life.

Rayhan worked hard just to send his younger siblings to school and meet their living costs every day.

Fitri's mother was sure that my life would be guaranteed if married to a scholar, so Fitri's mother forced her daughter to marry Dimas, the son of her best friend.

Incidentally when they get acquainted, Dimas is immediately attracted to Fitri, he falls in love at first sight while Fitri must bury his love for Rayhan.

One year Fitri became the wife of Dimas, their life can still be fulfilled from the honor Dimas who taught at a public school in the village where Fitri lived.

In the second year, Dimas ventured to credit a motorcycle on the grounds he was embarrassed to use a motorbike butut given his parents, so that the financial days began to be difficult to control.

Fitri as a wife trying to receive a mediocre living from the husband, because Dimas honest youth salary problem, he always gave all his salary to Fitri without any reduction.

The growing cost of living, plus Fitri began to contain made the economy of their household increasingly difficult.

Finally Fitri was trying to find a teaching vacancy that happened to Fitri is also a graduate of the faculty of education.

"Alhamdulillah, Son. I'm glad you could be a teacher, in a popular school again in our village," said Ms. Rusda when she learned that her daughter was accepted to teach at a favorite Junior High School in her village.

Mother Fitri's happiness did not last long, because after giving birth to her daughter Rasya, Dimas asked Fitri to stop teaching. Even Dimas invites Fitri to stay in his village because the cost of living in Dimas village is less than in Fitri village.

In the village, Dimas taught at a private school and started a garden with his mother.

Dimas's mother did go to college but not until it was finished so she did not work anything except gardening with Dimas' father, and now he also invited Dimas to pioneer the garden so that Dimas and Fitri have income later on.

Up to 7 years into their marriage, Fitri only worked at home while babysitting her daughter. Occasionally Fitri tries to sell online even though his income is just off eating everyday because he does not have the capital for his online sales business.

"Fit, get me a towel!" yelled Dimas after he took a short break.

At that time Fitri was about to go to the mosque, Fitri went back into the house and took a towel for the husband.

"Here, Bang," said Fitri, holding out a towel to her husband.

Dimas snatched the rough towel that was in the wife's hand. Then ride his motorbike to go to the river.

Such is the case in the village of Dimas, to bathe, wash and others most of the residents choose to go to the River because rarely the house in the village has a well.

Luckily at Fitri's in-laws' house there was a well, so Fitri who was not used to going to the river could bathe and wash at her in-laws' house. While washing dishes in his rented house there is Pamsimas water located outside the house which is only covered with plastic.

Fitri went to the mosque, this time Fitri performed the magrib prayer solemnly as well as he did not forget to perform the circumcision prayer.

There Fitri again asked Allah for forgiveness for the sins he had committed. Fitri also pleaded with Allah to remove the taste that still remains for the ex-lover.

After finishing the magrib prayer, Fitri returned home. Now his heart started beating fast. She was afraid to tell him what had happened, but she could not possibly hide it.

Once at home, Dimas sat down to prepare for dinner. Rushing Fitri opened her face and served her dinner.

"What's wrong? Why are you apologizing to me?" ask Dimas after he finishes his dinner.

Seriate...
