"Lyra, please help the artisans on the 2nd floor to finish the wall installation immediately. The weather is alarming, it will rain soon" called Mr. Hendro, the foreman on duty at the warehouse construction site.
"Yes, Sir. For a moment I pour the cement stir first," said Lyra obediently.
Lyra immediately stopped her activity stirring the cement to then go up to the 2nd floor to help speed up the manufacture of the wall.
During the construction, Lyra occasionally learned to make walls with the assistance of Pak Karjo and Pak Dirun, senior craftsmen there. Although it was Lyra's own desire to learn, but the artisans did not hesitate to share knowledge with Lyra.
In two weeks of work, Lyra is quite adept at doing the work of builders. Lyra's ability is equivalent to the assistant handyman who used to be a backup when the main handyman was not present.
The 2nd floor wall is almost finished. All three sides are perfectly formed. Only one side remains unresolved.
Lyra ran quickly to the 2nd floor and took part among the artisans. Lyra is tasked with finishing the easternmost wall with a width of 1 meter and a height of 5 meters. Quite a bit compared to other handyman jobs.
Lyra deftly install each brick between the cement slurry that becomes adhesive in each gap. His hands are so skilled and perhaps even the neatest among others because he is the only woman there.
"Have the wall reach up before the rain falls" cried Mr. Hendro gave instructions.
Lyra again ran downstairs as soon as the cement ran out. With him conjunct above, practically no one helped prepare the mortar. The other coolies are also busy on their own part.
"Be careful, Lyra. It's dangerous enough for you to go up and down buildings in your physical condition to be drained. Keep an eye on safety. Rest for a while if you feel strong," advised Mr. Hendro sympathize.
"I'm still capable, sir." Lyra answered with passion.
Lyra returned to the second floor with both hands clutching a lead hanger filled with cement slurry.
"Rain's down!" shouted Mr. Dirun from upstairs.
Regardless of her body being drenched due to the heavy rain, Lyra immediately resumed the task of installing the bricks. Until then there was a loud shout from Mr. Hendro, "Lyraa.awas. Moan away!!".
BRAAKS..
BLAAMM
BLAMM!!
The wall that had not dried up beside Lyra was washed away by rainwater. The wall collapsed with bricks scattered down, right where Lyra was.
Lyra who was shocked by the sudden incident with a reflex dodged. But the puddle of water makes the footing floor slippery so it is enough to inhibit the movement of Lyra.
"Arrgghh.." cried Lyra.
All hysterical and running quickly towards Lyra who was complaining in a falling position.
Actually, Lyra had managed to dodge so she was not buried in brick ruins. It's just that he hasn't dodged far enough that some of the bricks hit his left shoulder and arm.
Blood seeps in Lyra's long white arm. Soon Mr. Hendro and Mr. Karjo brought Lyra's body downstairs followed by all the team of builders who were also anxious.
"Lyra, I hope you're okay. It should not be a woman like you working in a place like this," looked at Mr. Hendro sadly.
"Really, Sir. Poor him. He's still young. The future is still long" added Mr. Dirun.
"Check it and give it a P3K. Others are on standby, if critical, immediately prepare a vehicle or call an ambulance to carry it," ordered Mr. Hendro in a panic.
