CHANCES - Battle of Heart: Online

CHANCES - Battle of Heart: Online
Prologue. BATTLE OF HEART: ONLINE

...< Arc I's. The Beginning >...

A rectangular-shaped table of teak wood that looks smooth, smooth, a small room with bright lights even though there is sunlight entering the room through the window gap followed by a cold wind that blows from the AC makes me rethink what happened.

I looked towards the piece of paper, just one sheet, in the middle of that wide rectangular table.

...

...

"Alright, please sign here" exclaimed the old man wearing glasses in a dark blue full suit. There's a legal badge in his pocket. He sat in front of me pointing to one of the pieces on the paper.

Next to her sat a woman with a thin smile, long black hair with black irises and a sharp eye line, her oval face looking very pretty to some. To me right now, it just looks like a snake.

I took the pen in my pocket and signed the little box that the old man pointed to and wrote my name under it. The old man confirmed his glasses and nodded. "Furthermore, please provide the stamp and the process is complete."

The stamp was in my left coat pocket, as I reached into it I was holding something hard, ah, it was my Bank card...

I took out the stamp and directly stuck it into the box next to my signature. My eyes glanced for a moment at the large letter written thick in the middle of the paper.

'Pair Divorce Letter '

Or something like that, my pupils seemed to be unable to stop shaking, I calmly passed the paper to the bespectacled old man before me. The man briefly examined the paper and immediately nodded before standing up and going out of the room.

The woman followed the old man and left me in the room alone. From the front door, another man wearing a red t-shirt was waiting for the woman. They were seen chatting while laughing before leaving the area of the room.

Hollowly.

That's all I felt after discovering that my partner had different feelings for me. Lack of attention, he said.

She works hard to raise money so they can go on vacation together to a tropical island and start planning to have children.

I took the bank card I was supposed to put in my wallet, I don't know, where the fucking wallet is. I put the card into my pocket and walked out of the small room.

Out of the courthouse, I walked into a black Lexus parked not far from the building. Immediately enter it and immediately hit the gas, feeling in a hurry to leave the place.

My smartphone rang, and I picked it up after putting headphones into my ear. "Hello, this is Kaoru."

The drunken voice of the man replied, "Ahhh, Kaoru! Old best friend! I heard the trial went fast? Where are you now??" My eyes immediately glanced towards the dashboard and towards the smartphone screen for a moment, it turned out to be from one of the friends who also enjoyed squeezing.

"Yes, I'm driving a car right now."

"You're going home soon? What about your house? You're moving out?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"really? That bad? But that place would be disgusting, and I understand that. If it doesn't matter, you can stay a while at my house!"

I slammed the steering wheel into a sharp turn as I was about to choose a straight path, after getting the horns of various cars behind me, I replied, "No need. I'll sleep in that house for a while until the move is over..."

"You sure you can hold it? You sure that room...Uh..they...ohhh.not in your room with her, right?"

My voice seemed to be snapped for a moment to answer.

"They did it in my room with him." Somehow, my answer flowed smoothly and quietly.

"...They're real assholes..."

"I'm also an asshole, letting them do it in my house."

"I'm sorry.." her voice thinned for a moment.

"Hahaha, it's not your fault, man. By the way, when are you going to pay your debt that time."

She laughed out loud, "Come on, man! I'm still looking for your money okay? I'll pay..but I'm in need of more..Can you send another twenty thousand yen?"

"You're fucking."

"I love you too, Kaoru!"

I chuckled and pressed a few buttons while asking the secretary to help send money to the goddamn comrade. After being replied by my secretary, I answered that fucking fella.

"I've sent you, stop drinking alcohol and take care of your wife's child. At least they accept you like that, damn it."

He laughed again, "Hahaha, thank you for the money! I will definitely return it, see you later, Kaoru! Be careful on the road, man!"

I turned off my phone and parked my car which stopped in front of one of the console game rental stores. The shop looked abandoned but I knew the shop owner's grandfather. He always helped me when I ran away from the oppressors. I pushed the glass entrance full of duct tape, heard the ringing sound of a bell ringing as I went inside and was slapped by the hot wind.

The grandfather smiled from behind the counter, "Ah, Nak Kaoru? Please look around, you haven't been here in a long time. How are you?"

I smiled and nodded while looking at the extremely classic and slightly dusty console game rack. "Yes, this time is quite busy but finally I am free too.Just now, I finished my divorce papers," I answered lightly while picking up one of the game boxes that was on the shelf of the NDS console.

Grandfather's narrow eyes opened for a moment to hear my words, but he wiped the sweat using a handkerchief in his shirt pocket.

I just nodded and walked into the various other shelves, looking at the assortment of old console games. While playing from the PS console shelf, I saw a console game on the GBA shelf in the corner of the room. I took the little game box and saw its name.

...THE BATTLE OF HEART: ONLINE...

You know, old games that always put the word online but actually can't be online? Maybe it happened in this old game. I chuckled and looked at it for a while, as if interested in this game, for some reason. Maybe because of the title? The fight of the heart..the heart that fights? Or war? Whatever.

I picked up the console game and took it straight to the table where Grandpa was. The grandfather still showed his wide smile which gave a wrinkled line on his face.

"I'll rent this game for two weeks."

"Let's see? Oh, BOHO huh?"

"BOHO?"

"Ahh, that stands for the game, BOHO or Battle Of Heart: ONLINE," the grandfather nodded his head while writing on a note or something like that.

I muttered in my heart while questioning who gave such a stupid shorthand and finally after some time, grandfather put the box in a plastic bag and I would take my wallet

Ah, yes. My wallet's gone somewhere.

As I was about to take the card from my suit pocket, the grandfather waved his hand while thrusting the plastic bag containing the BOHO game.

"No need to pay, this game is for you as memento. In a moment, Grandpa will close this shop..."

"Eh? What about the other games?"

"Grandfather will sell it? I don't know, but just accept this. If Grandpa's going to sell all the other games, you're going to be the first person he's going to offer, okay?"

I chuckled and nodded as I received the plastic bag. "Thank you grandpa, then, I'll wait for you."

Grandpa just waved his hand and I laughed as I walked out the door. The outside wind blew in as I walked out accompanied by the ringing of the bell that was above the glass door.

When entering the car, turn on my phone again and see the many numbers that come in. I ignored him and sent a resignation email.

After sending an email, I turned off my phone again and took my car back to the house...

Looking at the entrance, just like when I opened the door at that time...

The clothes of women and men were strewn from the corridor of the main room until it ended up in front of my room with her.

I locked the front door and walked down the dark corridor leading to the main hall.

Immediately I opened the door to my room...

Blank.

Looks like a neat king size mattress and with a white carpet underneath, a closet door that has glass and large windows that go directly to the garden of the house. I took a picture frame beside the bed, the picture frame was empty.

I put it on the bed and carried a plastic bag containing a BOHO game towards the living room. I set up the GBA console and turned on the television.

There was a momentary humming sound when I entered the BOHO game's memory box. Feeling something strange, I checked and there seemed to be no problem and the cable was also neatly arranged.

When the game has started with a TV screen that says 'Developed by CHANCES' pixelated style. I grabbed and held the controller in my hand ready to start playing.

DARKENED

The sound of knocking on the door was heard repeatedly from the tip of my ear. I groaned and got out of my sleep. Her voice was so noisy, that I immediately stood down from the bed and as I was about to open the door ?

Why am I so short?! Wait, why is the door so high?!!

I raised my hand, and I saw from my sight that it was very small...

Huh ?!

I looked at my hands carefully, yes, my hands were small, like the hands of a 5-year-old.

"Mr Kyle? Wake up, sir, time for breakfast. Why is the door locked? Mister??"

Sweat slowly poured from my forehead as I heard the call of someone who kept knocking on the door from outside. When I was about to unlock the door, suddenly in my view there was a transparent window display.

There is only one sentence with a classic font in the middle;

...「Welcome to BATTLE OF HEART : ONLINE」...
