34. Please!

Lam could still feel the presence of the woman nearby.

"Well, but at least he doesn't bother me anymore. In a moment

he will go away on his own," he thought while sharing a slanted smile.he proudly managed to return his pride as much as stepped on this morning.

Suddenly Lam was startled by a loud ringing sound in her ear in an instant.

"ZIG!"

Not yet had he moved his body to see the source of the sound, his heart was already on the verge of exploding thanks to the next sound that was sourced right beside him. I don't know what would happen to his eardrum if he didn't wear his headphone.

"LAM PIERCE!!"

And his eyes met again with those eyes. Those resolutely burning eyes seemed proud to have made him turn his head. The woman clasped the microphone on Lam's desk. Connect to audible speakers throughout the BM floor. Lam usually uses it when announcing emergency matters.

Elly's grin made Lam growl. His attention was diverted back to the monitor where it was seen by the occupants of the cabin who lost their concentration.

It's bad to continue, Lam thought and hit the 'off' button to disable the entire program.he can't focus now and he didn't want to take any chances.

His eyes followed the movement of the returning samsacks and their footing beams fused back to the floor of the travelator. Wait until the entire cabin is properly back to their original state before serving this nearby bully woman.

Elly who thought back ignored the crackle, then took in her breath and,

"LISTEN TO ME!!"

'Graaac!'

Lam got up from her seat violently, clutching Elly's firm hand in her grip on the microphone, and looking down at Elly's eyes.

"Stop that shit! Are you crazy?! Where is your pride?!"

The real Elly was shriveled by Lam's height and intimidating gaze clenched her free hand, but did not avert her eyes. she still refused to give up.

"Are you going to hear me now?"

"In your dreams!"

Elly slammed forward until her chest almost touched the microphone. Her actions made Lam reflexively pull her hands away so as not to be touched by her body. But of course it didn't last long. Lam pulled her shoulders back as she took a breath, ready to scream again.

"You know that your voice is heard by whoever is on this floor?! You're gonna stir up some weird, troublesome gossip, miss manager."

"I don't mind. I am not a public figure. No one will put me in the media. If there's any gossip, it won't last long."

"I do mind."

Elly who was flabbergasted by Lam's speech became careless and relaxed her grip on the microphone. Small details that Lam did not miss to grab the microphone in one pull.

"Aah!"

Lam brought her face closer to the microphone and took a breath,

"I apologize to all cabin occupants for the inconvenience we caused. Our boxing program for this afternoon will not continue. Please rest all of you and once again, forgive our negligence in maintaining comfort together. Thank you." Thank you."

Lam, turn off the microphone before raising her face to the monitor screen. Said to Elly without looking back at her.

"Go, lady. You really bother me. If you really need something, why don't you use threats like 'get me down or I'll ask the director to fire you!' or something. I can't resist and I know you can."

"I don't want to be considered lowly by a staff like you."

"At least maybe it's classier than what you're doing now. If you don't go, I'll go."

Lam had already taken one step forward when she felt the pull on her shirt.

"Please."

Lam glanced and gritted her teeth as she looked at Elly who was bowing herself to her, while pulling her t-shirt.

"Stop that. You don't deserve it."

"I'll keep doing it until you hear me."

"Ck! And what's in it for me?"

"I'll give you whatever you want!"

"whatever?" repeat Lam with intonation that makes Elly goosebumps. Lam rolled her eyes when she heard no answer.

"You're too naive."

Lam prepared to continue her steps which were again stopped by the growing pull from behind her.

"Deplease a-"

"Please, listen to me. This is all I'm doing for Shirley. I know you cared about her since you agreed to keep her visit to Vino's cabin a secret that night without asking us for anything in return. I don't know exactly why, but I think you can

helping me."

his life he had never begged a man.

But remembering Shirley who had been lonely for a long time and shutting herself up made her think that this was all right. The smile was more suitable to decorate the girl's face and Elly really wouldn't let her disappear again..

Lam's body slowly turned towards her making Elly gasp in shock and take off her pull on Lam's shirt. He lifted his body until his gaze met with eyes that had turned dimmer. Lam's gaze no longer felt intimidating, but the look in her eyes this time actually made her ask questions.

"I'll hear you."

"Su, really?"

Lam had walked ahead of him and sat down on the sofa, then looked at him as if asking,

'What else are you waiting for?'

Elly's smile expanded and moved to sit in front of him.

"I thought you liked it."

"I never said that."

"But you immediately accepted when I said his name."

"I just feel sorry for the honorable miss manager for bowing her head to beg me."

"You-you"

"Don't make me change my decision again. Quickly tell me, what happened? And what do you want?"

Elly really does not like to be in a position where she is controlled by her interlocutor. la guess this time she will be in control as usual. But the man in front of him was more stubborn than he had expected and he had nothing to subdue him.

One thing he knew, this man cared about Shirley and for now it was enough for her.

Elly took a deep breath before starting her story.

"Last night I got word and Mr. Budi that Mr. Rom had passed Vino and BM prematurely. Since I knew Shirley would be happy to hear it, I chose to tell her. I had expected Shirley to meet him. And so I've done various preparations for the entire negotiation of Shirley's one-day cancellation."

Lam stared intently at Elly, asking for a more silent explanation. Elly brushed her short hair back with a wry smile.

"Yes, yes, I'm sorry. Don't look at me like that. I confess I lied to you. It wasn't me who was going to eat with Vino, it was Shirley. It is prepared as

congratulations on his graduation. I just picked him up and made sure there wasn't any trouble."

"When you know very well his father would be very angry if he knew this. Cancel the work schedule for a romantic breakfast? That's sweet."

"I know, I really know. And I warned the boy. But you know what he always says?"

She looked at him, waiting.

"He said, 'I might fall back down if you do something to him, but I'm afraid that I'll fall down too if I don't

his hands."

Lam silenced a thousand languages. His tongue was dry, unable to make any comment.

"I knew the moment the child fell and I didn't want to see him again."

A few moments of silence between them. Lam had closed her eyes, dampening the tightness in her chest that had arrived felt.

Elly who realized Lam was no longer looking at her thought that Lam did not hear her. she leaned her body towards Lam and said in an urgent tone, saying,

"He may look like a bright star now, but he's never really fallen! he had truly lost his will to live! You probably won't understand it because you've never seen it that way. But really he's-"

"I understand."

"Eh?"

"I really understand more than you think. Because then continue. I hear you."

Again. Elly caught the dim eye again at a glance, and somehow Elly did not like it. But now is not the time to think about it.

"Everything is in my control. I can guarantee no one will know this surprise breakfast. But just now Shirley came back begging me to do something. Something impossible without your help."

"Then tell her it's impossible for her, miss manager. Done it. You don't have to make things difficult for yourself like this."

"He said, 'I'm counting on you, brother!' excitedly . She knew that I was the only one she could ask for help from, who was on her side completely. How could I disappoint him?"

Lam let out a loud sigh and leaned her body against the back of the sofa.

"As I said, you're too naive. Really different from your usual haughty image. I'm really honored to see another side of you."

"You insinuating me?"

"Forget over. What am I supposed to do? No. gabe. Before that, what did Miss Shirley ask?"
